When: Valentine's Day 2007, evening (after this in thread)
What: Formal Date
Why: 'cause Aiden doesn't want to lose his reservations loves his bonny lass
Where: Start at shop, go on to the restaurant.Trelweny RosePhoenixWolf "I tol' ye narry ye mind. An' o' course she means it."Myranda's eyes twinkled as much as they could, being synthetic. "I know just the thing." Tapping a small cauldron charm on her wrist, a huge black cauldron appeared beside her. Liliana stepped back as the GaiaCom cast her pentagram "summoning circle" & watched with a studious eye. In no time at all a shimmering form materialized. As the sparkle from the magic faded there was still some shine to the simple white dress draped over a black gloved arm. Beneath it, a warm winter dress coat. With a flourish Myranda held the garment up for inspection. It looked fairly low-cut in the front, making a circle to hold the dress up around the neck. The sides tapered to the back. When on, there would be a bare spot below her neck in front, and other than the strap around her neck in back there would be no fabric until just above her posterior. And of course, as requested -a slit running the length of the right side. Aiden raised an appretiative brow. "If it's satisfactory you'd better get dressed."((hope I described the dress well enough.))

Lainey jumped back in surprise with a large black cauldron appeared before them, since she knew that wasn't a normal occurrence. All she could do was watch in awe as the dress she had envisioned materialized before their eyes. For a long moment all she could was was stare. "A-a-amazing!" She exclaimed as he came out of her daze, nodding quickly and taking the clothes, "T-thank you so much!!" She wondered if it was okay to hug them, seeing as she didn't know them, really.

The GaiaCom smirked as the firework audio took the clothes. "You're welcome." Trelweny was beaming, bouncing forward to hug her Aiden's pretty mate. Then her head tilted to the side and she giggled at Myranda. Her eyes flicked to the audio's feet meaningfully & the black skinned witch rolled her eyes & sighed. "All right, I got it."
Huffing in exaggerated & pretentious frustration Myranda conjured again. This time when finished she held out a pair of white heels with ankle straps. Trelweny smiled & nodded, turning just in time to see the highlander audio drop his jaw thinking of his Lainey in those shoes. His wings fluttered & fell limp.
Liliana watching all this shook her head. "If you're going to dress you had better. I'll aparate you both to the restaurant. I know where it is. Timex or Eiracelyn will pick you up from there." The red furred kitsusagi folded her gold & black wings against her body, waiting. She really did not understand romance for all her book knowledge.

Lainey gasped, beaming brightly. This time she did hug each one in turn, all but bouncing up and down, "Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou!" She giggled at Aiden's expression, blowing him an air kiss before taking the clothes and running off to get dressed in one of the rooms in the main shop. She reappeared a few minutes later, her cheeks tinted pink as she smoothed out an imaginary wrinkle in the long white dress, the clinging material only showing off her figure more, the heels of the shoes clicking with each step she took. "What do you think?"

Trel clapped, Myranda smirked in a pleased way, & Liliana nodded. Aiden... Aiden stared. The highlander was struck dumb at the sight before him. His golden eyes wide as he drank in the sight of her -dress clinging to places he wanted to touch, heeled shoes making her claves look even nicer than before -not to mention the ankle straps...
He gulped heavily, taking a clumsy step toward her. "Yer... ye look beautiful Lainey."

Lainey blushed lightly at the positive response to her question, bowing her head slightly, "Thank you, for all your help!" She couldn't help but giggle as Aiden stumbled, meeting him halfway to make sure he didn't actually fall. "Thank you, love... And you look so handsome, but I already told you that, didn't I? I... ummm..." She laughed sheepishly, "So what is on the agenda for our perfect night?" She picked up the black teddy bear with the bright ribbon at the firework design over it's heart. The Lainey Bear as Aiden had named it, hugging it lightly to her chest. She felt nervous. She had been out with Aiden before, that time they went off in search of a place just for them, and they had fooled around quite a bit, she was sure that just about half the shop knew just how much they got up to, if not more, but this was their first real date. It made her heart skip a beat.

Stepping backwards Trelweny could only beam as her first audio found his footing enough to cross the distance between him & the lovely female to lightly take her elbows in his hands, cupping them lightly & tenderly. "We've reservations fer a lovely place I found, wit' dinner an' dancing. Then perhaps a show. I ken o' one tonight tha' is nice, an' nowhere near sold out." Actually he knew of a few: An opera, a ballet, and a musical. But he had not wanted to pressure Lainey into any of them -being of the mind that he would be just as happy dancing the night away with his lady as he would watching a show.
Liliana fluttered over to them, green eyes unintentionally cold. "Which reservations you will be late for if we don't leave soon even with me aparating the two of you there. Now please get closer to each other & to me."
The GaiaCom eyed the bear in Lainey's arms. "You're not taking that are you?" She sighed with exaggeration. "Fine. I'll stay here with your presents until you return. I can charge here as well as I can at the house." Trelweny shot Myranda a grateful smile, to which she received an "you owe me" look from her friend.

"That sounds perfect, Aiden! I know I'll have a wonderful time tonight." Of course she had a wonderful time with Aiden just sitting back on the couch and talking about nothing, but that was beside the point. She was reminded and she and Aiden weren't the only two in the world at the moment when Liliana fluttered over to them. "O-oh! I'm sorry! Y-you're right!" She scooted closer to Aiden then stepped closer to Liliana as well. She stared down at the bear when Myranda asked about it like it was just a ratty old thing, ducking her head and feeling hurt by that. She had spent so much time making it for Aiden after all. "I... I guess that'll be okay...?" They were Aiden's gifts after all, he should be the one to have a say on them.

Aiden pulled her close & kissed her lightly just below her headphones. "Dinnae fret o'er Myranda's way o' speach my bonny love. She's nae a sweet thing like yer Chii an' I reckon until there's a laddie in Trel's life she approves o' she willnae be too fond o' romance. An' she only understands sentamentality in theory." holding her close he slipped Lainey-bear from her arms and kissed it on the head before passing it to the GaiaCom. "She'll be safe wit' her. An' we can concentrate on enjoyin' ourselves wit'out fear of losing or hurtin' her." He continued to hold her tightly as the red kitsu female made certain she was close enough to them. The GaiaCom could be seen nodding in resignation & Trel called out "Have fun!" As Liliana disaparated the three from the Audio Shop
They aparated in front of a pearly gray building with tiered steps. It looked like something out of a hollywood movie back in the day. Wafts of music could be heard coming from the live band inside. A doorman -more of a boy really- blinked & adjusted his tie at the appearance of the three suddenly before him. Aiden smiled reassuringly at him but Liliana ignored him. "Timex will be by if you want him in time for the shows." Only then did Remus' eldest daughter smile at them. "You will enjoy yourselves, won't you?" Aiden merely nodded.

Lainey easily went in Aiden's arms, assured by his presence better than anything else could ever hope to calm her. She nodded gently with a soft smile, feeling her heart flutter at how gently her beau took care of her home-made bear, "Alright..." She clung close to Aiden, closing her eyes when she could feel the apparation happen. It felt odd, but she didn't comment on it. She could also laugh at the poor doorman's reaction to their sudden appearance, hiding her smiling behind a gloved hand.
"Oh, Aiden! This place looks wonderful already!" She loved the classy, old Hollywood feel the restaurant gave off and the sound of the live band playing made her want to just grab Aiden's hand and drag him in to dance. She beamed brightly, "Of course we will!" She had no doubt in her mind that tonight would be one to remember, of course she would have had just as much fun if she and Aiden had simply laid on a couch all night watching old black and white romance movies. As long as she was with her beau she would be happy.

Liliana smiled at that, giving her 'uncle' a nuzzle on his thigh before disapparating -much to the consternation of the now slightly shaking doorman.
Nodding at Liliana's smartly executioned disappearance the Highlander slowly released the lovely female from his arms to hook her hand lightly in the crook of his elbow & lead her smoothly to the door. The doorman's ready smile wavered the tiniest bit but he otherwise held fast to his training. "Welcome to the Reverie. Clark will take your coats just inside. We hope you both will have a wonderful time."
His smile settled into calm welcome once more as Aiden nodded politely when they passed him. The audio's heart was racing a mile a minute but he was not about to show it. Perhaps another time Lainey & he could lounge together, watching old romance movies -for he would jump at the suggestion did he but know of it. But not tonight. Tonight was special. Tonight he wanted to show off his beautiful mate. Not because he was proud that she was his -though he could not deny that he was- but because Aiden believed her to be so beautiful that all should know it and have at least one night to bask in her loveliness. That... and more than anything he wanted to have a chance to really treat Lainey like a lady.
Although it was hard to keep his libido in check. It had a way of flaring up inside him whenever the two were together. And somehow putting Lainey in a dress only heightened her appeal. Especially the combination of slit & heals. Something about the straps... Aiden forced himself to breathe deeply & calm down. The night was still young. Thankfully the long dress-coat had hidden most of the slit. Up until now.
He looked almost nervous as they reached Clark who was clearly running the coat check and almost haphazardly shrugged out of his own greatcoat. Moving Lainey's hand from his elbow he removed his coat & flung it over his other arm while reaching for the collar of her coat. "Here, Lainey m'love. Let me help ye wit' tha'."
There was a huskiness to his soft-spoken words, even as they shook the tracest bit. The Highland Fae knew all the moves... but this was the first time he had ever had a chance to try this particular dance. He did not want to blow it. Golden eyes smiled at the firework patterned female with love. Lainey deserved the very best.
