Who says the weather's a boring topic? We've had enough threads on local weather in the past, so here's the official (tm) weather thread! Bwa hahahaha

*ahem*

So up here in Canada it's all snowy eh. Not much snow but some. It just snowed tonight.

I have officially been in Canada too long. The radio was talking about how yesterday was going to be 0 degress with a high of 3 and I thought "that sounds nice and warm."

Nice and warm. Gah.

Down here in Texas, the High is 77 F and the low is 53 F, with mostly sunny skies!

finally...i was freezing last week and the week before (not that it was as cold as it was in canada, but it was around/below freezing.

And the wildflowers are starting to bloom!

LOL@Itsea.

Maki: That actually sounds perfect.. I wouldn't mind it being 70 something.

Yesterday, the weather couldn't make up it's mind here (I'm in Oregon, for anybody that didn't know). It would be sunny, then rainy, then hail, and then just cloudy, and then it would be sunny again.. It hailed like 10 times yesterday!

take that pic, and imagine 4-5 times more snow...and then you'll know what it's like here^_^.....SNOW SUX!

Simplified Metric for Maki:

23 degrees Celcius is roughly equal to 72 degrees Farenheit. Zero, as I'm sure you know, is equal to 32 degrees Farenheit. 30 degrees Celcius = getting too dang hot even for this child of Maryland (the Sorta Mostly South). wink

BTW, your avatar is lovely! The effect of the Winter Rose dress, the hearts, the doves, and the romantic hair all together is very nice.

Dragonwarrior, I'm in Toronto. God bless the lake effect. ^_^ Though I'll be moving out of it in the next year or so.... gonk

i heart snow!! I'm jealous, my bf has had a huge amount of snow where he lives, knee height!! gonk

@Itesa: Trawna eh? Boo easterners talk2hand biggrin Hasn't there been a lot of snow out there?

There's been a good amount of snow. For a while it was pretty negligible, even by my standards. (Schools in Maryland shut down for two inches of snow.) We got a pretty big dump last week, 5-10 centimeters. My husband (who's a native Torontonian) frowned judiciously and pronounced it a "decent snowfall." Hamilton got 40 centimeters, which is just freaky.

I took the little boy I watch to school today. The playground had awesome snow forts and huge -- I mean HUGE, some were almost as tall as I am! -- balls of snow all over. And there was still not a blade of grass to be seen. A snowfall such as I had never dreamed of, and here I am, too old and responsible to put on snowpants (not that I have any) and frolic for hours. Le sigh.

Yeah, but not so much when I've gotta get the kid to class on time and get his little sister home... neither of us had snow-gear on and I'd actually forgotten her mittens. smile
