So, what books do you read for magic? Do you trust books at all? I find it difficult to find a good book that isn't based off of fiction, you know? Especially when it comes to Chaos Magic and Necromancy...
I don't like using books, I just use them for general reference - but rely mostly off of my own feelings and occassionally some other guidance when I really need it.

i agree, books are interesting but shouldnt be trusted 100% unless you KNOW that NONE of it is in any way, shape, or form, modeled after fiction. which is hard to find... ~Rin

Hm, I could probably find a couple if you wanted and give you a link. I mostly use amulets and talismans myself, so I could easily tell you how to make those, since mine work. I'm a weird atheist who believes in using magic... If I could ever make myself learn the actual science behind the way the chakras and everything work, that'd be nice, but now I'll just stick to "I believe in what I have proof of, and I have proof that these work." But if you ever need a talisman to help you remember a vast amount of information before a big test, you can always ask me, since mine came through big-time. wink

*nods* I know how to put memory and protection spells on necklaces, but not much else in that category... and Kris, you and me will have a long thing about chakras - me and Matt do so much with chakras it's not even funny. It's one of those lovely things that meditation is great with, and meditation is love (the entire concept of sitting around and not thinking is just good, you know?).

Yes, I need to know how to use the chakras better! I can do it to some extent, like putting a little extra strength into one part of your body for a limited time. I actually got that idea watching Naruto, and decided to try it when I was playing pool. Arm w/ Pool Stick + Chakra = Balls Actually Separating When I Hit Them. You know, during the break... they scattered! And that's about where my knowledge of using the chakras ends.

*nods* I actually learned originally because when I still had a lot of blocks on my magical energy, I had to take energy from other people in order to do somethings, so I had to transfer energy to one part of my body to get it out of theres - mind you, I normally did this without their knowing (normally it was Hingle actually, he doesn't need it - he's too closed-minded) so I couldn't have them transfer their energy to one place too so I could borrow it... but whatever. I don't need to do that anymore...
And yeah, transfering it to one place is very useful, especially if you ever want to put magic into something.

Sometimes the energy leaves before I even get a chance to hit them, and I doubt that my limited amount of energy could overload any time soon. emo
