I can play any and every instrument... Just not that well XD
OK seriously, I have been playing Percussion for about 12 years, And the piano for about 2 (And I still suck at piano XD). The percussion includes pretty much anything you whack except the steel drum lol

hehe Anything you whack. That's one way to put it. I'd rather be in the OTHER kind of band. I play the guitar. And the vocal chords. What would those be considered? Strings? Brass? That's gonna bug me now. Although, I have to say my favorite instrument to hear is the cello/bass. That's not even a band instrument! hehe Sorry. I'm a choir geek and not afraid to admit it.

I belive those would be considered Strings, in some cases however; the are always paired with percussion lol. And that isnt true, The Cello/bass has been played in a rock band by the Grim Reaper in "Bill and Ted's totally bogus adventure" XDDD

I meant they're not an instrument you normally see in a school band. Tehy are in use in the music industry though. The band Apocolyptica, (plug plug plug) for instance, redid a bunch of Metallica songs using only four cellos and that's it. They have a bunch of music other than that which is freaking awesome.

The Jazz Band at my Highschool used the cello for several jazz songs every year. It is in fact a common instrument in jazz.

Our music department at WKU has a kickin' steel drum band! I heart percussion!

I am actually a string player by nature, but as a music ed major I have had to study all the band and orchestra instruments, as well as directing choirs. I am focusing on the piano and violin right now. As far as performances, my ward has called me as the music chair, and I have been directing our ward choir all year. We have a holiday program on December 16th. It is still evolving! LOL

Great forum, BTW!!!!

I played the violin from 3rd grade up 'til Freshman year in high school. Then it required too much rehearsal time after school at seven at night and I was too busy. The rehearsals were for a grade so my grade was dropping fast. Had to drop out. Haven't played it since. I would if my violin weren't broken and I can't afford to fix it. xP
