From working on the preparations of her injections to seeing to her own wounds Madeline multi-tasked getting ready for the next appointment. It had been a terrible struggle to get Keivlos out the door this morning and it cost Madeline a few scratches about the length of her lovely arm.
Finishing with the tray of shots, the substitute was washing her hands when there came a knock at the office door. "Please do come in--" the teacher graciously called out as she reached for a clean wash cloth.
"Valens--?" Curious, Madeline peered behind her shoulder hoping that it was the patient she thought it was.

Was it just him or did all of the doors, halls, and floors look the same? He looked around as he walked down the hall then looked down at the paper he held, reading over the number of the classroom that he was looking for. He then looked up at one that was across the hall from where he was standing, "Hrm..." He walked over to knock then peek in, wondering if this was the right place.
The boy gave a sighing sound of relief upon hearing his own name, "Hello!" He greeting, ears turning forward, tail swishing. Good, this must be the place then if the person knew is name. Ok, so he wasn't lost at all! He had just taken the long way around to getting to where he needed to be! He slipped into the classroom and closed the door behind himself, "I'm Valens! You are the Nurse?"
His father had told him he was going to be meeting with a Nurse or doctor to get shots, he'd been sent here on his own so that LaVey could keep an eye on Lamiah who was panicked over the idea of her 'poor baby' getting shots. So Valens had been sent ahead while they waited for him outside. He'd only spent the last half an hour trying to find this place... Not that he would admit it was hard to get here when he'd been trusted to find the place on his own.

"I suppose we could say that," Madeline's tiny lips curled ever so slightly as she finished drying her hands, "Please call me Ms. Crossette and if you would be so kind as to have a seat ..." she nodded her flopping cruels towards the standard medical table at the end of the room, "I'll get you out of here as fast as possible."
It wasn't that she liked to rush these encounters with the children along, but D-corp put her on a time limit. Besides, if Valens parents weren't in the room, chances were they would be waiting out in the lobby. It would be terribly rude of her to keep them waiting long.
Picking up the tray of shots, Madeline sauntered over to Valens and after putting on a pair of white doctors gloves gave a slight sigh as she looked at the energetic little boy. "All ready? I promise it's not as harrowing as many make it out to be."

Valens nodded then clicked his way over to the table he was motioned towards and hopped up on it, sitting down, "Ms. Crossette then." He murmured then smiled as his ears turned forward watching as she got ready. His eyes widened a bit as she brought over the many syringes filled with many of unknown substances, the 'shots' he was assuming were them. He blinked a couple times then bit his lip. Ok, he could do this and NOT be scared. After all if he got scared and panicked or something then his mother would get that much more upset. Valens would be strong! Strong like his heroes he decided.
Valens shook his head to clear out any nervous thoughts and then gave another bright smile as his many braids fell back into place, "All ready!" He said, sounding a lot more ready then he really was. He supposed all he could was let her stick him and see if they hurt of not right? So he held up an arm, not the one he wrote with, out to her offering it up as if as sacrifice.
The faster they got this done the faster he got to go and try to find his parents right?

It pricked at her heart strings to see such happy children so nervous over these doctors visits. It wasn't as if some adult had made vaccinations up for the purposes of torture. If Madeline wasn't so animate about seeing through no child was to suffer needlessly she would have patted Valens on the back and sent him off.
"Very well," Madeline smiled as she pointed over to a colorful poster on the left side of the wall. "I want you to look at that while you tell me a little bit about yourself." Humming under her breath, Ms. Crossette worked on cleaning the boy's arm before she very carefully administered the first injection.
"Clocks ticking now..."

Valens did as he was told looking in the other direction, ears flickering a bit, "About me? Umm... Well I am a Clydesdale." He sounded quite proud of that fact, "When I get older I wanna be a Budweiser Clydesdale, saw them in commercials and they are sooooo coool!" He had no idea what Budweiser was or what they made but their horses were the best ever! So were big and strong and they worked together so well in large teams!
His tail started to swish and he didn't even seem to notice he had gotten pricked at all, "And I'm gonna get a Silver dragon. I find it funny that its called Silver and IS silver." It just seemed amusing and maybe a little lazy to him the way the dragons were named after their colorations.

"The Clydesdale is a very noble creature, I remember they were the favorite breed of horse at my grandfather's stables. I'd be sure to make a visit with apples every time I came to visit." It was with a polite nod and upturned smile she listened to Valens and complete her work.
By the time the conversation had come around to discussion of dragons Madeline Madeline had finished. "Silver dragon? I can only imagine how pleasing it will be to have such a resplendent object in the house hold. I'm jeleous, my boy Keivlos will only be receiving a lackluster black dragon, nothing of the wonder or splendor of a silver dragon."
Gently patting a band-aid onto the side of Valen's arm, Madeline pulled a sucker from her pocket and offered it to the darling creature. "You're free to go now. Please stay safe."

The boy's ears started to swish rapidly at the idea of apples, yum he could really go for one of those about now!
His ears turned a bit as he listened to the woman talk, nodding in agreement, "Yes! I can't wait to see my dragon. Only got to see the egg so far and it was pretty!" He said, quite excited to see the dragon that was going to be his when it hatched out of the shiny egg, "Oh! You have a son?" He looked a bit curious over what a black dragon was like and why they were lackluster.
So caught up was he in the coversation that he was rather surprised when a lollipop was held out to him and he was told he was allowed to go, "Really? That was it?" He gave a laugh, "Wasn't so bad at all!" He was quite pleased with that.
Valens hopped down off of the table and then stretched his arm out, nope didn't hurt that much at all, so why was it that he was scared again? He tucked the candy away into the pocket of his pants then gave the woman a snuggle, "Thank you!" He said, tail swishing rapidly again.

"You're--" Instead of completing the sentence with 'welcome', the teacher stumbled and choked over the words. It wasn't that Valen's actions were something she disapproved of, rather, he was just so kind, he was such a sweet child. But, more than anything, it was the fact that it was Valen's giving her a hug right now and not her own son. Keivlos had not hugged her in over a week. It was a sad, strange sensation, to receive love from someone else's child, but not your own.
"--welcome." Clearing her throat Madeline waved Valen's off and watched him him head out the door and made sure he got safely to the waiting room. From there someone else would be able to direct him.
Sweet child...yup, defiantly a good kid.
