Updates

07.02.05 - Added a few more links and tweaked the formatting a bit.

07.01.05 - Mainly out of boredom I've decided to revamp the linklist topic, this one should be conciderably more organized and easier to update than the last. Not finished setting it up yet so please don't post here yet (if you want to submit a link either wait or post it in the old topic for now).

Information

Some basic information about how this is going to work. Each site will be submitted in a particular form (explination and code below) and then sorted into the appropriate section. I'll try to update as often as possible and include all submissions but updates won't be instant -- probably at least once a week (if there's anything to update that is).

Also, I've added "Navigation Notes" because, though in the case of most of these it's pretty easy to figure out how to get to what you're looking for, sometimes Japanese sites can be pretty confusing if you're not familiar with them / can't read Japanese (I can't, so sometimes it ends up being a game of trial and error before I find the gallery section, so I figured I'd save anyone using these some time and give directions - most of the time it's pretty obvious where stuff is though). Also feel free to add any of your favorite XS fansites, Japanese or not the code I'm using for these entries is below.

Content: What's the main draw of the site? Does it have Fanart, Links, a Message Board, or just General Information?
Characters Depicted: This mainly applies to Fanart sites, list characters that the artist focuses on -- you don't have to go through the entire gallery and list every character that appears but if 90% of the artist's fanart is of the URTV boys note that.
Warnings: Does the site have any adult content (if it does note in the navigation notes if the adult images are tagged or in a seperate gallery) or anything above PG-13 as far as violence is concerned? You may also want to note if the site contains any homosexual content because I know some people find it offensive and it's fairly common in some fandom circles.
Navigation Notes: How do you get to the content of the site? This generally applies to sites not in English or where things might be a bit obscure or otherwise difficult to locate. You may elaborate on the warnings here (ex. images linked by a square are adult and those by a circle are not or whatever it happens to be for that site). If you're linking an English site that has some special requirements for viewing/participating, like the-ethos for example (you have to register and be reffered by an existing user to gain access to the BBS), here would be a good place to note that too.

Navigation Notes: My personal favorite link collective, very easy to navigate if you know some kana (links are organized by media and by characters/parings). Mainly U.R.T.V. related fansites listed here though a number of those contain other XS fan materials as well. To make navigation a little easier I went ahead and (with the aide of sherlock) made an attempt at translating the front page, most of it was just transliterating character names so I'm pretty sure those are right but some things didn't make a lot of sense so I just left them the way my translator gave them to me.

Navigation Notes: Pretty simple layout (click "Member" to get to the links, note the arrow in the top left hand corner on that page - it takes you back a page in the list as only the most recent page is displayed). A fairly small union at the moment though they have some quality sites linked. As should be fairly obvious from the site's title it's a union/ring for supporters of the Nigredo x Citrine pairing. There are a few illustrations under "Work" (most of the other linky things on that page lead to a few pages with oekakis on them).

Fanart Sites
Sites which happen to be either primarily devoted to Xenosaga fanart or artists' gallery sites which happen to contain a significant portion of Xenosaga related fanart. This list consists primarily of Japanese sites at the moment.
Oh yes, and just one other note about Fanart sites. Quite frequently you'll see a banner that looks something like this:

Please respect the artists and don't reuse their artwork without getting permission, even if they don't have a banner or warning in place asking you not to (yes this also applies even if you give credit, you still have to ask to use it - if you need further clarification please visit the OFP site linked by the banner above). I'm not going to badger anyone here who doesn't follow the OFP rules but I would just like to make everyone aware of it.

Formerly Zenosaga.com, the webmaster, Int, was in the process of doing a major overhaul of the site in the past few months (only the BBS is functional, it requires that you name an existing member as a refferer in order to join - I'm a member currently so if anyone wants to name me as their refferer please pm me and tell me you are and what username you're signing up there with so I know who you are when they check with me - and if I reffer you please behave! not that I think anyone here would act up but if I reffer someone who causes trouble it reflects rather poorly on me there) the future of the site is uncertain as many of the developers/admins have lost faith in the series because of recent news of screwups at Monolith.

I've got a few more Message Boards and things to add still but I'm feeling lazy so I'm going to leave it at this for now...
