The chalkboard read 'likes justice', 'repulsion gas', and 'highly adept swimmer'. Peri stood at the front of his classroom, awaiting his student. His workload was picking up as more kids started to grow up and their dragons were hatching.

Swish, swish, swish. Aysel couldn't restrain from sashaying down the hallways of D-corp. Her new wings were so beautiful and wonderful and awesome. They nearly brushed the floor and so she was careful of where she stepped and always stayed to the side or behind Apala.
Speaking of Apala, he was the reason that she was here today. They would get to a class all about the bronze. Her new partner was pacing slowly next to her, already far more dignified than the luna moth. It was strange having a dragon as a friend, her mom said not to think of him as a pet, and hard to get used to. She still wasn't sure she liked Apala but the two had gotten along fairly well so far. She fed him and scratched him and he followed her around and made noise. So far so good.
Finally stopping at the classroom door she looked over at 'Pala. "Ready Pala?" she asked rhetorically. The bronze nodded as Aysel opened the door, sneaking in before her. He was just as interested in this class as she was.
"Hello?" she asked before recognizing the teacher. "Mr. Perilas, Apala and I are here for our lesson."

Peri smiled as the door opened and the two walked in. He didn't recognize the girl at first, having only met her in her caccoon stage. "Ah, yes. Hello." He motioned for the two to take a seat among the cushions scattered about the floor.
Once they were settled, he started off with his typical question. "Do you have any questions about your dragon?"

With a pleased growl Apala settled into the floor, taking up the cushion for himself. Glancing at the man who was teaching the class, Pala tapped a claw on the floor. What was the girl still doing standing. It was time to sit and pay attention and not disrespect the teacher.
Frowning at 'Pala, Aysel seated herself carefully, kneeling first. She never realized how much trouble the people with wings had. It was hard to sit on the floor! "Umm... I had a question. But then I forgot it," the luna moth admitted.

Peri eyed the dragon for a moment, then glanced at the girl. He smiled. "That's okay. If you think of it later, feel free to ask it. We can start with what's on the board for now, though. Maybe it'll help you remember your question."
The man gestured to the blackboard and what he'd written upon it. "Now, while not every bronze dragon is the same, there are some characteristics that seem very common among them. Like the other metallic dragons, bronzes like justice and seeing people do good things."
"Bronzes have a sort of attack where they can emit a very rotten odor that can make people rather sick to their stomach from the smell. It works in making people go away," Peri grinned. "They're also good swimmers, able to use their wings underwater."

Taking what the man said for granted, Apala huffed quietly. Watching Aysel for any reaction he tried again, a little harder and louder. Shutting up when the girl looked over at him, Apala concentrated on the teacher again. Swimming? Now that sounded like fun.
"Umm.... He can go swimming by himself right?" Aysel asked quietly on the last statement, with a leery glance at Apala. She really didn't want to have to go with him. He could just avoid swimming if she did. "And when will he start using that stinky breath? Will brushing his teeth hurt it's effectiveness? I don't think my mom would put up with dragon breath in the house." Aysel considered that for a moment. Would her mom try to make Apala wash his mouth out?

Peri blinked. "Well, yeah... He should be able to swim by himself. He might have to learn a bit like most people do... I'm not sure on that..." He was relieved at her second question though. "Ah, well, he'll have to be older for that to start coming into effect and it's controlled. He'd be able to control its use. In fact, he'll probably have a class about that when he gets older. To learn how to control the attack. Of a sort..."

Aysel nodded. At least he wouldn't get in trouble with Mom. Speaking of Mom.. "When will he be able to talk? And flying. Mom said most dragons are born knowing but Pala hasn't flew yet and I think it would be fun to fly together. Maybe we could even learn together? Huh," Aysel fell silent and thought for a moment, not really paying attention to the answers she got.
Apala on the other hand was paying rapt attention. Of course, how often was it that one got an entire class about himself.

"Hmm... well, dragons can fly from a young age, though they have to take time and build up their wing muscles before they're able to fly for very long. You'll be able to fly with him when he gets older and a bit bigger so he can handle your weight. I'm sure if he swims a lot, it'll help build up his wing muscles." Peri continued on. "And for talking, it varies from dragon to dragon, but he'll probably start picking up words before too long. Especially words you use a lot." A couple of the dragons that had taken this class were already managing some English.

Aysel nodded. "Oh... Okay." Yay for tuning in at the last moment! Pala sent a look to his partner. She should pay better respect to the teacher.
The luna moth squirmed under her dragon's reprimand. Wasn't she supposed to the older one that taught him? Geez... "Ummm, How big will Apala grow?"

"Bronze dragons grow to about a size of 10 feet in height. Which is less than two of me." Peri eyed the moth girl for a few moments. "Did you have any other questions?"

The luna moth shook her head. "Nope, I still can't remember the question. Can I like... come back or something if I remember it?"
Pala covered his eyes with a draconic groan. She was so silly.

Peri smiled. "Sure thing." After all, the man didn't have much else to do besides his classes.

Aysel nodded. "Okay," came the reply. Quietly she sat, waiting for the teacher to do something..or dismiss the class.
