My roommate just gave me this game yesterday and I've already become hooked on it. I was just wondering if anyone has ever played it before.

The only Lunar game I've played is the Sega CD version. I was hooked up until my unit punked out on me sad
Luckily they have CD emulation software...and I still have my original disc

Babes, you have picked up the sequal of the ULTIMATE ROG series! It's the BEST game I have ever played! I love the Lunar series. I've played eternal blue over and over and you have made my day by telling me that there are people who are playing it!
I personally love the game, as you allready know! I find it awesome, the grafics rock, the voices are the best, the characters are well thought out and portrayed.
I don't want to ruin it for you, so har far have you gotten?

Oh goodness! That's awesome! The Lunar series is my absolute favorite video game series, from the Sega CD games to the remakes. (I try to forget about LL and DS : P) If you're enjoying the second, I strongly, strongly urge you to go out and purchase the first - I enjoyed it so much that I wrote down all the important text into two notebooks, until I could purchase the game myself. And then L:2 came out, and I was excited as heck - luckily, I was far from disappointed. I still have the original plastic wrap my copy came in. heart
Uh, any way, before I start sounding like some crazy fangirl (is that still possible?) they're fantastic games - beautiful music, great voice acting (especially back in those days), great writing, and finally wonderful, fleshed out characters. They also have some of the loveliest 2D graphics I've ever seen.
Also, if you ever get a chance or like the series enough, check out the strategy guides and official artbook. The guides are hilarious, and the artbook is one of the most fully fleshed out I've ever seen. Yeah, I'm probably getting ahead of myself here, but I just had to mention them. Also, there are scanlations available for for the L:2 manga and the L:Magic School manga.
Ahahaha, enjoy yourself! And, please, avoid L: DS at all costs.

Celtic Rogue I'm not too far in- I've only played for 2 hours but right now I'm trying to find Ronfar so he can break the curse Zophar put on Lucia. I agree though- I love this game! I love it too! If you need any help at all, ask me. I know all the secrets of this game! EVERYTHING! And I NEVER consulted outside help. Not from the internet, or strategy guids.

I got all the bromides in the second game on my first time through, with the exception of the DS one. That's really part of the fun of it - all the little secrets, and the strategy required to the bosses.

Oh, of course! heart I've found it now, it was just the only one I didn't find on my first playthrough. But now I've played the game through many, many times. And, since this is a Lunar thread, some L:2 fanart for yahs: Fanart time!

ji-an Who's your favorite character? I like Hiro and Lucia. Hmmhmm...My favorite is definitely Ronfar, with Jean coming in for a close second. SPOILERS FOLLOW: I loved the dynamics between Ronfar, Mauri, and Leo, and I felt their backstory and characterization was great. Also - Ronfar's off colour humour is adorable, he's probably wiser than any other in the group, and I just find him entirely irresistable. Jean is only my second favorite because I found her forgiving Lunn so easily entirely unbelievable. Considering this was a man who abused tonnes of children, including herself, I would think she wouldn't be that easy about it. And at the very least, I would have liked to see more developement after on her part and his. I mean, should he really still be the mayor of Meribia after that? No matter how changed he is? Hel-lo, prison! However, let it be known that I really adore every single character in those games. Yes. Even Borgan. Who are your favs from the first game?

Ahhh, Lunar! I loved this series (except DS... what the heck were they thinking??) but Eternal Blue was my favorite. I think I've played through this game a dozen times between the PS game and the Sega CD version. The characters are endearing, the artwork is nice, the voice acting is great (NO WENDEE LEE!). And I agree, the walkthroughs were very entertaining. I put one of the stickers on my PS2 and it always makes me happy to see it. heart

Why on earth did they even think that such a vapid, shallow, downright horrid game would revive the Lunar title? I wish they'd just left it dead but honoured. And, by the way, Grandia's another one of my favorite games, nice choice of names.
