My nickname is Chibi.
Well my friends and I love anime, manga Japan and so on. Well I'm also very short itl. I could stop talking here cause everybody should have got the idea by now. Well they find out that Chibi ment small, and told me that I was so chibi and kawaii. Then after that everyone started calling me Chibi. I think I got gaia pretty recenly after I got my nickname. So I decided I wanted first be named Chibi at gaia, but somebody else was already named that. So it took a few hours before I find out what I wanted my name to be. But I have never once wanted to be named something else at gaia, ot have another nickname. /Chibi xd

Repost:
It all started freshman year...
At my highschool, we sponsor Japanese adults to come over on an exchange program where they help the Japanese teachers and sort of teacher-aide. Anyways, freshman year we had this guy first semester named Hiroyuki Abe. All the students called him Abe-san, even though we should have been calling Abe-sensei. He didn't mind, we all though he was barely out of his teens, so we treated him like another student.
Well, my best friend had a major crush on him for who knows what reason (He wasn't very atttractive. *cough*). She bought him Christmas and Birthday gifts and everything. We went as far as exchanging emails, phone numbers, and meeting this guy at the mall to hangout. Even though we spoke in English most the time, we'd refer to each other as Uendii-san, Oribia-san, and Abe-san.
Eventually, he had to go back to Japan. But a few days before he left, he revealed a little bit of information to my friend. He had just turned 30! That was enough for her, she got so creeped out by the thought that she would cringe at hearing her name being called, 'Uendii-san'. So, since we had 2nd hour together and we tease each other about everything, I would say 'Uendii-san' really slowly and creepy like randomly to bug her.
This lasted for about a month, resulting in tons of giggling and the like. Soon she got sick of my picking on her so she decided to retaliate by calling me 'Oribia-san'. It really didn't have the same effect, just made us laugh. It got to the point where mid-lesson one of us just had to slip, 'saaaaaaaan', and we'd be entertained.
I'm not sure why it stuck, but ever since we referred to each other as san. We only use our real names when we're being serious, but that's not often. Even her family refers to me as san now. So san stuck.

I don't even want to get into my nicknames. I think I shall do a story per post per person. Thats about 50 nicknames for person. Well, we shall start with my most popular nickname, Chuck.
Now you have to understand that I absolutly LOVE Chuck Taylor hightops. And I have about 5 different pairs that I wear all the time. I rarely wear anything else ((unless I am barefoot.)) The main pair I wear are my cherry red ones. So anyway, everyone knows about my shoes. And one day in gym we were playing batmittin and Scott, who was on the other team, was all "C'mon Chuck, you can do it!" While I was serving, because it was he undefeated girls team agaisnt the undefeated guys team. Needless to say the name stuck.

When I was younger like fifth grade, I was best friends with this girl Kirsten. Her older sister really liked anime and stuff, and so we followed her suite. Kari, her older sister always called her Chibi, she was just like a mini of her sister. When I moved to a new school, made new friends, etc; we sort of changed. I stayed my nerdy self and she somewhat abandoned the anime genre. But in seventh grade she asked everyone to call her Chibi and she's been called that ever since. It's silly, now that she's a cheerleader with little to no interest in anime what so ever and even teachers refer to her as 'Chibi'. That was sort of on a limb. Oh well, thought I'd share.

Well, my nicknames... in real life, most people just call me Katie, that being my name and all. But online, I'm known as Empress Kat, or more often just Kat.
You see, I used to go by the name katietook, but I ran into someone that apparently couldn't tell where the space should be (katie took) and started shortening it to kat. It stuck, but only after I made them capitalize it. Then, somewhere, I was being rather arrogant, and someone said I thought I was a queen. Someone else said "Who, Kat? No, she's like an Evil Empress" and thus, Empress Kat. I like it.

Well, you may see from my username that my name is Brittney but where did the Bee come from?
The story is quite simple, people started calling me B, because I hated when people I don't really know or like called me Britt but they did a lot. I don't mind friends or people I like/respect but not if I don't know them or hate them. So my friends started calling me B, dropping the rest of my name. And then somebody spelt is Bee because it's cute so now I am BeeBrittney. n_n

My nickname I have on Gaia is Des. That's no where close to my real name. I got the nickname when I started to RP with a bunch of friends. My one character was named Destiny and they chopped off tiny and it became Des. I guess Des is easier to type. The name stuck to me, and know everyone on gaia calls me Des.
I'm also called P-chan by my sister, brother and my two best friends. My real name's Paula and since everyone around me watches anime and reads manga, they started calling me Paula-chan. My brother pointed out that I liked Ryouga from Ranma when he was a pig and in that form he's called P-chan, so the name became well known and they call me that. I don't mind it, but it can get annoying to be called that all the time.
Another nickname I have is monkey because I was born in the year of the monkey and my brother keeps calling me that.

The nickname's Nicky... but I'd rather not go into a lot of detail on it... gets tiring explaining it to everyone.
