He wasn't all that certain of where he was at the moment... Or even why he was there. Of course, there had to be some sort of reason for it or he wouldn't be where he was, would he? No, certainly not.
Fiery eyes scanned the horizon, peering out over the planes for signs of familiar lifeforms. He had yet to see any since his arrival and it was... Peculiar. Weren't places like this usually teaming with life? Especially when the sun had just advanced to its seat in the sky filling the land with warmth?
Peculiar indeed.

He had no idea why he was awake this early other than he'd been run into by a small white furry thing. Mornings were not his forte and he was lamenting the loss of his sleep and all the pleasures it offered.
Things were so boring here without things to do and people to talk to. The silly little demon, or not so demon, woman he'd spoken to had only offered so much in the way of entertainment. Shaking his head he went in search of either food or something else to occupy his time.

His brow furrowed slightly as, with a soft snort, he wandered back towards the forest. There was nothing currently left to be discovered by watching the plains and he was rather parched. A drink. yes, a drink would be a fine thing to go in search of... A long sip from a nearby stream.

Shuffling away from where the small furry thing had bumped into him he headed for the stream he'd found the day before. There had been some rather delicious looking plants around it and the water would be fresh and clean. Perfect for him to feast on while he was plotting or whatever it was he was doing.

His golden tail flickered slowly as he lowered his head to the stream, eyes closing as he savored the moment. Calm. Peaceful. As much as he found himself wishing that there was something else about he was rather glad that, for now, things were... Normal.
Normal, now there was a strange thought. Things weren't ever truly 'normal', were they? Of course not. There was no way to judge what 'normal' was. He certainly wasn't it. Nope. Couldn't be. Not knowing things that he probably shouldn't. That was his purpose there though. At least, that was part of it.
He lifted his head, fiery eyes peering out from beneath ivory lids. There was a noise nearby. He wasn't sure what it was, granted, but it was there and it was something.

He huffed slightly as he noticed someone else had been picking at the plants he wanted. Probably those small furry things that he'd been woken up by. Leaning down he stuck his nose in the water to cool off before he took a drink.

Yes, there was definately a noise. Most certainly. His brow furrowed slightly as he turned his head, eyes going wide as he caught sight of something dark... Something dark with the most gaudy silver snake-like patterns around his forelegs. "... Crowley?"

He turned his head and looked over at the familiar white hide. "Well if it isn't my old nemissis." He chuckled as he straightened up and looked at the other stallion. "How have you been? Up to .... good i presume?"

"As good as usual." If his shoulders could have shrugged they would have. "I assume that means you've been up to no good? Or bad?" He blinked, eyeing the other stallion. "... What are you doing here?"

"Bad? Me? Always." He laughed as he eyed the stream. "It seems that i'm getting a drink and a small bite to eat." That wasn't the question that Az had asked but that would be the answer he got.

"You really aren't all that good at it, you know. The whole 'bad' thing." He shook his head slowly, shifting on his feet. "And you know very well that wasn't anywhere near the sort of answer that I was searching for. That is what brought you to this neck of the woods... But not why you are here in the first place. Whatever happened to all of your little... Winged, horned, creatures?"

"I am perfectly good at being bad there's just so little that needs my help these days. They're all far too good at doing it themselves." He leaned down to take another drink from the stream. "They are boring so i decided to leave their company. Though i did meet another rather ... well laughable one"

"So you fill in the gaps between misbehaving with food?" He snorted softly, giving a slow shake of his head. "Somehow I doubt that your superiors would approve." He paused for a moment, casting his eyes to the sky. "Then again, I doubt that mine would either."
Again there was silence... A lovely little interlude to their conversation. "... It's good to see you, Crowley. Good to see anything familiar, really."

"Food is rather delicious and a wonderful distraction." He was in no way against food espically since it seemed such a perfect way to get people in trouble. "My superiors are .... well you know."
He shook his head and waited for Az to speak again. He'd started to think that the blond's mind had wandered off by the time he did. "It is good to see you also. Far better than the company i've found so far."

"Superior?" He nickered softly as he shook his head. "Or far too busy with their own doings that they have lost track of whatever it is that you've been up to?" His brow lofted. That certainly seemed a bit more like the Crowley that he knew. Far more like him.
He managed a slight smile. "You've actually managed to find company? Then you must have been here longer than I have. I've found... Nothing. And a bit more nothing. The sunset was rather remarkable though."
