Clan Name: Inuzuka
Village: Konoha and Suna
Description:
This clan from Konoha Village is known for its ties to the canine species. Many members have a canine familiar who acts as a partner to the clan member. Also clan members can use jutsus to take on canine-like abilities.
History: N/A
In-game Stats:
+2 per 5 levels to Spot, Search
+1 per 5 levels to Sense Motive
+1 per 10 levels to Wisdom.

Jutsu List

Shikyaku no Jutsu (Four Legs Technique)
Type: D-rank
This technique gives some increase of strength and speed to the user, as well as lengthening their nails into claws by taking on the traits of an animal. Travel in this mode is somewhat akin to a dog's fast run.

Requeriments: Must be trained by an Inuzuka Chakra Control 5
Training Amount of Time: 5 Days
Special: +2 Dexterity and Strengh Mod +1 Dex and Strength Mod per 10 ninjutsu levels.

Gatsuga (Double Piercing Fang)
Type: C-rank
The user and his partner spin at a ferocious speed and deliver many powerful beastlike attacks when contact is made with the target. This attack can also be done alone although it is less effective.
Cp cost: 20
Damage: 5 - 15 + Strength Mod
Requeriments: Chunin and must be trained by an Inuzuka. 5 ranks Ninjutsu
Training Amount of Time: 8 Days
Special: 1d20 + Taijutsu + 1 per ten ranks Tumble to attack. -1 x 1/2attack total to user's dodge bonus.

Jujin Bunshin (Beast Human Clone)
Type: B-rank
This is a higher form of henge and the bunshin technique. By using their own chakra and their master's, the pet can take the form of their master to use certain techniques such as Gatsuuga.

Requeriments: Be trained by Inuzuka. Pet - Chakra Control 10

Jinju Konbi Henge: Sotoro (Man Beast Combination Transformation: Double-Headed Wolf)

The users, a human and a dog, perform Konbi Henge (Combination Transformation) together, which results in their fusing into an extremely large, double-headed wolf. While in this form, they can use Garōga (Double Wolf Fang).

Clan Name: Monterio
Village: Sunagakure
Description of Clan: The Monterio clan specialize in puppetry, and usage of a unique chakra thread jutsus.
History: The Monterio clan has hailed from Suna for a very short time. Only four generation have existed in Suna and the remains of the other clan members is unlisted. The information on the clan was all lost when the founder that moved to Suna was killed, after conceiving. The men on this clan have all been puppeteers (using only their own personally made puppets) following in their father's footsteps, the women are allowed to learn puppetry but is not exactly known for it. It is said that the Monterio clan was once a great and large clan from another village, but the Suna branch has lost connections with these members; if any. They primarily have found different usage of the puppetry jutsu that creates small extendable threads of chakra. This includes using the jutsu to activate traps (built like puppets) and to develop a way to capture. Upon turning 14 the men begin construction on their own puppet that they will (hopefully) be with forever. A main feature about this clan is that their jutsu ((Secret Clan Jutsu • Monterio Chakra Threads)) can be used at the same moment as the puppetry jutsu is used. While normally the puppetry jutsu releases blue chakra strings, their jutsu releases pink chakra threads.
With the usage of these strings the Monterio men are naturally talented with actual wire.

In game Stats:
+2 to Craft(Puppets) per every 5 character levels.
+2 to chakra control per every 5 levels.
•Any monterio member living in the clan resort that is older than 14 has access to the usage of power tools, misclanious metals, and wood at no charge.
-5% of mission earnings go to clan treasury.

Jutsu Name: Secret Clan Jutsu • Monterio Chakra Threads. Monterio Chakra no Ito
The ninja will create threads of chakra which will start at their heart's chakra circulatory system and extend outwards through the palms. Unlike the puppetry jutsu, this jutsu serves more as a way to bind a target. Skilled users, can use this jutsu to control puppets. Although its a jutsu on its own.
Cp Cost: 2 Cp / per turn.
Damage: 1~3 + chk mod + 2 per 10 ranks in Ninjutsu to max side of the damage if used to squeeze the target.
Requirements: Must be learned from clan member. Chakra Control 15.

Jutsu Name: Secret clan jutsu • Monterio chakra rope Monterio Chakra no Nawa
Description: A basic addition from the chakra threads jutsu, where one thicker rope of chakra is used. This technique allows the ninja to extend their chakra out of their body into binding ropes. The chakra is said to be uncuttable. This technique can also be used to wrap around and pull in objects, as well as be used a chakra whip with the proper arm movements.
Cp Cost: 2 Cp / per turn.

Squeeze: 2~5 + chk mod +2 per 10 ranks in Ninjutsu
Whip: 1-6 + str mod +2 per 10 ranks in Ninjutsu

Description of Jutsu: By using the Monterio chakra threads jutsu the user can connect to a puppet, for control. Although advanced movement is extremely hard due to controlling the puppet with your palm, it is often used in conjunction with the puppetry jutsu to give 100% control of a puppet, allowing both sets of threads to cooperatively manipulate a puppet. Also; best when used on large/massive puppets.

Description of Jutsu: The user sends his chakra threads into his eyes, than splits them to the puppet. If the puppet has functioning eyes, than the user can see through the puppets eyes. Allowing them to fight as if they where the puppet is. Although the complex movements are still required from a puppeteer, this can be used with a partner to continue hiding.

Clan Name: Rialto Family

Village: Sunagakura

Description of Limit: The users of this bloodline are allowed to seal souls into inanimate objects both perminatly and temporaraly. The object takes on a bit of the sealed persons personality depending on the amount of the soul sealed within.

History: This is a family that has belonged to the Sunagakura lands for as long as can be remembered. They were small and not even considered a clan before the great Ninja Wars broke out again about 200 or 300 years ago. Since then, they have come into a great amount of power. They were always at the lead of many battles...or rather, it should be said their Puppets were always at the lead. This family is a family of master puppet makers, each one cabable of adding some strange and uniquely powerful flair to their puppets. These members have been known to hold positions as high as Personal Guard of the Kage and the Daiymo of the Land of Wind as well as playing pivotal parts in many victories for the land of Suna. Due to many years of research, the family was able to create many different jutsus based around the puppet. But all great things must come to an end at some point. One dark night about 5 years ago, most of the clan was wipped out during a night attack by an enemy nation. There were very few survivors but those that did hold the secrets of the family deep within their hearts and deep within their puppets. Regarded as national treasures, the puppets created by the masters were sealed away with the family remains never to be touched due to fear of their power and strength.

Jutsu Name: Ningyou no Shiiru (Seal of Puppets)
Description of Jutsu: Much like the Tobidogu (Projectile Weapons), this jutsu is used to seal up items for easier carriage and storage. However, this jutsu varies from that one as it is meant only for the sealing and carrying of dolls. The user prepares a large scroll (like a summoning contract scroll) and puts the names of each doll being sealed within. Along with this, the user can opt to create an image of a Doll House upon the scroll for use in a later jutsu. Several puppets can be carried around at once with this scroll.

Description of Jutsu: This is a special process that involves one planting their chakra into the material being used to make the puppetl. If done correctly, this increases the strength of the overall puppet in terms of its ability to take damage. This cannot be applied to the weapons made for the puppet.

Special: -Once you pick an amount of chakra to pump into the doll for that day, it must stay that constant amount for every post afterward (whether you succeed in the doll making or not). You cannot recover CP until after you've finished for the day or you do a rest post.
-The amount of incrase to the puppets HP is determined by taking the total amount of the Chakra used (in all after the doll is finished) and dividing it by 3.


Jutsu Name: Ningyou no Himitsu : Soukou no Bodi (Secret of the Puppet: Body of Armor Technique)
Description of Jutsu: This is a special crafting technique that only the Rialto family fully perfected. By crafting a increasingly hallow center, the puppetter is able to use the puppet as a body armor. The puppet breaks apart at the puppetters command and applies itself to the user as a large suit of armor. The reason this is difficult to do is because the puppet has to be crafted with the puppetters safty in mind so the weapons do not harm the puppetter once they are inside the puppet.

Jutsu Name: Ningyou no Shinri Sen (Mind Games of the Dolls)
Description of Jutsu: This is a jutsu perfected for dual combat by the puppeeter and the puppet. Using a special tool placed inside the torso of the puppet, the puppeeteer is able to control the puppet without chakra strings. Instead, the user is able to inplant battle commands before hand and only needs to reapply the commands every so often. The tool used is also filled with chakra that is disbursed throughout the doll to give the doll mobility to perform it's tasks. This was created to prevent people from finding a puppeeteer in hiding via the chakra strings. More chakra must be supplied every 5 turns. [[or if puppet uses all chakra via jutsus first]]

Jutsu Name: Fuushigi Yugi no Jutsu [[The Mysterious Play]]
Description of Jutsu: The product of a twisted mind and way too many lonly nights. This is a jutsu that uses the 'Doll House' portrayed within the Ningyou no Shiiru Scroll and makes it a physical manifestation. The target is trapped within the house while all of the dolls and tools sealed within the scroll chase after the target with the entent to kill. While the house is an illusion, the puppets are not and real damage can be suffered from being caught in this jutsu. It is not a very pretty sight to see someone who comes to the 'Play'. It takes a high level of concentration and the user is usually left wide open while the 'Play' is conducted. Usually, they conduct the jutsu from the safty of a barrier jutsu or with allies around. The range of the jutsu is defined by 4 sealing tags placed in a square formation. Anyon that steps within that area is immediatly subjugated to the jutsu. The range of the tags is no more than 500 meters from each other.

Jutsu Name: Fuuinjutsu: seishin no shiiringu (Sealing Technique: Sealing of Souls)
Description of Jutsu: This is the families most prized jutsu. Using an innimate object already prepared with the proper sutras, the user takes their chakra and forces a link between the body of the target and the object being used. This can come in two forms;

Form1:
Temporary Sealment: The user creates a powerful seal using their own chakra. They push their chakra into an unconcious foe and force a chain to be made between them and the object. The Soul is carried along that link and implanted into the object. If the object is destroyed, the soul is forcibly dragged back into the body by the chain. Also, additional chakra is required to prolong the sealing.

Special: -For every 10 CP past what is required, the target is sealed into the object for 2 more turns.
-The user can apply chakra threads to the object after sealing the soul in it and control the object.

Form2:
Confinement of Souls: This is the form that is most noticible for the family. The seal placed upon the soul is perminate and cannot be undone even if the user wanted to undo it. This seal is usually performed upon the freshly dead or those who are on the verge of death. The seal captures the soul as it is leaving the body and confines it to any object that the user so wishes. In the case of the family, it's usually the body of the puppets. Through this method, the family achieves a sense of immortality. Although, if the puppet is complelty destroyed in then the soul is lost forever, not even permitted to enter the after life. It is for this reason that puppets made using this method are usually not of the combat veriaty. Once a soul is placed within an object, the object takes on qualities of the soul, in th case of puppets, the puppet may even gain the ability to speak and move on its own, although limited. Puppeeters are still needed for complex movements beyond walking and basic gestures.

Clan Name: Tekkenseisai

Description of Limit: The Tekkenseisai have been practicing their fist-only fighting style for hundreds of years, but the complete suicidal style of this martial art is only attainable by the completely mad, the lost with nothing to live for... and the Tekkenseisai. They have trained many techniques involving harming themselves to open up the enemies for counterattacks of great damage, and saving many lives with their own.

The Bloodline Limit is unnaturally hardened muscles, and damage from any physical form is reduced. Pain is reduced, and they suck at Ninjutsus and Genjutsus.

Village: Iwagakure, Amegakure, Sunagakure, Otogakure.

History: The Tekkenseisai began in Iwagakure, but after the war were dispersed to spread their fighting style across the land. They were eliminated from most villages, and in the villages they remain, have realized that students were never truly fearless enough to master the style, and so it became limited to the original bloodline again. The fighting style was simply created, and at first still consisted of kicks and was less suicidal, but grew more and more into the use of the hands and, of course, not caring for your own health. The members of this bloodline were therefore revered as heroes, as they saved the lives of countless people. But they grew further away from Ninjutsu and Genjutsu, and even now it is more difficult for them to perform. They still today are known as fearless warriors, taking their own lives for the safety of others, and never going down without a very VERY dangerous fight.

In game Stats: +2 Constitution per 5 lvls. Damage received from Taijutsu and weapons is reduced by Con Mod. Normal Taijutsu damage dealt is raised to 3-9 instead of 1-6. Cannot use any kicking techniques, or learn any other fighting styles. Chakra used during Ninjutsus and Genjutsus is doubled. Training days to learn Ninjutsus and Genjutsus is doubled.

Jutsu Name: Agarikomu "By a Step"
Description of Jutsu: The user moves INTO the opponent's attack, reducing momentum gained and therefore damage dealt. This is one of the most basic Tekkenseisai techniques.

Damage: 0
Requirements: Suicidal tendencies?
Training: 3 days.
Special: The damage dealt by bash-trait attacks is reduced to 1/3, cut-trait to 1/2, and stab-trait is normal. The technique opens up the opponent to an attack of opportunity. The technique is initiated instead of dodging.

Jutsu Name: Toushin Shouaku "Blade Grasp"
Description of Jutsu: The user grabs the opponent's (bladed) weapon during an attack, and breaks it off at the hilt. Its designed to twist the blade in a direction from the hilt that the tension of it in combination with the split second the energy is transferred in can cause any material to break off according to the design of the weapon.
Cp Cost: 0
Damage: Breaks opponent's weapon.
Requirements: 40 Strength.
Training: 10 days.
Special: User still takes the weapon's damage. This technique is initiated instead of dodging. Make a strength check to see if it actually breaks.

Jutsu Name: Iwa-Supaiku Suiryoku "Rock Spike Thrust"
Description of Jutsu: The user picks up a large rock, and throws it up above their heads. When it falls down, the user punches it with his Aian Nakkuru, and large rock spikes are shot everywhere with great force.
Cp Cost: 0
Damage: 20-30 + Str Mod.
Requirements: 20 Strength, 20 Taijutsu. A rock, 1 square foot.
Training: 7 days.
Special: 40 foot range. 10-15 damage to self.

Jutsu Name: Juuryou no Kihaku "Soul of the Boxer"
Description of Jutsu: The user quickens their footwork and sharpens their reflexes by jogging on the spot and slapping themselves to induce the nerves to work better, causeing them to be able to sense attack more easily.
Cp Cost: 0
Damage: 10 damage to themselves.
Requirements: 20 Constitution.
Training: 3 days.
Special: Raises the user's Dexterity by 2 points each time this technique is used, with a maximum useage of 3 times. The effects last 10 turns.

Clan Name: Hiyomura

Village: Sunagakure; originated in Konohagakure

Affinity: Wind and fire (the elements of the clan's two villages, even though they 'defected' from one)

Description of Limit: Konjouyaku (Spirit Use). Those who possess this trait essentially have more skill in genjutsu - or else learn them quickly - and are less prone to an opponent's genjutsu's effect. At some point, a user will be able to predict an oppontent's moves to some extent, which helped improve said user's overall performance in battle. There are currently three different stages for this kekkei genkai, although there are rumors of a fourth stage. This fourth stage, however, remains a myth because no one has yet been able to attain it, and so is deemed entirely fictional.

History: The Hiyomura clan originated in Konohagakure, said by some to have sprung from a 'tainted' Uchiha clan member; also, it is thought that the skill in genjutsu has its ties to Uchiha Itachi's Tsukiyomi. No records exist to prove or this claim, however.

50 years after the war started, the clan head at that time initiated an 'exodus' of sorts from Konoha - even though the village was under threat - for he sensed the coming of a great calamity. It is not known if his prediction came true after the clan left; nevertheless, all members were now seen as traitors to Konoha and so could never return.

Finally, they settled in Sunagakure, offering the services of their most elite members as intelligence agents, seeing as the third stage of the clan's limit allowed them to overhear conversations without being detected. However, because of all the fighting, their numbers dwindled to practically nothing. Currently, only six members are still living; time alone can tell if there are any more left.

The user is able to detect where the next attack is coming from and therefore will be able to dodge in time. The first stage of the kekkai genkai.

Special: +1 DB per rank gained (eg. gennin gains +1 DB, chuunin gains +2 DB, etc.)

Seishin Kansei (Mind Sensing)
The user can read an opponent's brainwave patterns (as the brain is connected with the spirit) and so predict their next move - or moves.
CP cost: 25 cp to activate + 5 cp per round to maintain
Damage: n/a
Requirements: member of the Hiyomura clan; chakra control 25+; knows Kenshutsu
Training: 6 days to master +1 day of meditation
Special: +2 DB per rank gained; can be blocked if target's (intl mod+fort) is greater than the user's (wisdom mod+chakra)

Konjou Chakushu (Spirit Launch)
The third stage of the clan's bloodline limit. The user separates his/her soul from his/her body. Since upon separation the mind is also 'removed' from the body, the 'barriers' placed on the different aspects of the user's physical form are removed as well. This includes the time barrier on the user's healing abilities, allowing the body to repair itself almost instantly after injury. Because of the speed at which the healing occurs, it seems as though the user's body is impervious attacks.

There is, however, a limited time one can spend detached from the body; this varies between ranks and level of mastery of the limit. As of now, only Kei has been able to master this level, so she has no idea regarding the time limit; hence, she rarely uses this jutsu.

Other Clan Jutsu

Gensou no Mai (Dance of Illusion)
Activated using the bird, tiger, snake, and rat seals. The user uses a combination of mesmerizing flames and soothing breezes to lull the opponent into a half-conscious state, and then - using the dancing flames - creates an illusion of the opponent defeating the user. This fools them into relaxing, and then the user can follow up with Oujoute or some other technique.
CP cost: 25 cp to activate + 5 cp per round to maintain

Oujoute (Death Hands)
Activated using the tiger and snake seals. The usual follow-up to Gensou no Mai. After the target has relaxed - meaning the first genjutsu has taken effect - the user then changes the illusion into something more sinister, usually ending with hundreds of shadow hands reaching up to grab the target. More often than not, the target will be trapped in an illusion where most of the shadow hands will be strangling him/her.

Description of Limit:
The Kekke Genkai is both a blood trait and a fighting style. The Tojikomeru Bushi style of fighting is almost entirely non-lethal. It is meant more to maim or disable the opponent without killing them unless absolutely necessary. The Iida have developed a way of fighting with severe power and also a way to control an opponents chakra system with their own by force. If the opponent breaks free of a technique, in many cases they absorb the chakra that was forced into themselves. Many of the Iida carve a mark ontop of their arm every time that they kill someone to remind themselves of the deed. Some Iida also have a tattoo on their upper back that says "This will end it all..."

History:
The first was once a sannin for a now destroyed hidden village. He could only find true happiness in seeing the blood of others, and because of this he slaughtered all who he saw. He slaughtered small villages and everyone else that he could find. His wife and daughter grew horrified and fled to a now forgotten small country. The people there were peaceful and hated killing. The people taught the man's family various ways to disable an opponent without killing them in the year that they hid there. Then the man learned of their location. He laughed at the fact of where they hid. It had been so close to him for an entire year. The villages warriors faught bravely against him, but they all died in the process. With the obstacles out of his way, the man approached his wife, sword drawn. He spoke in a low voice, "This will end it all..." and lunged, but stopped short. His own daughter stood before him with a kunai plunged into his heart. He coughed once and fell. The daughter, Iida Akana, carved a mark on top of her arm and swore never to kill again without absolute need.
She eventually had three daughters and retold the tale to them. She passed along the knowledge that the peaceful country had taught her. The daughters swore an oath on their own against killing and continued the tradition of carving a mark on their arm for every death. One of them even had the words "This will end it all..." tattooed onto her upper back.
Then disaster struck one hundred years later. A young Iida man was taught the fighting style that had been improved upon over the years. He also inherited the insane bloodlust of the original man. He decided to make his goal in life to take revenge for his ancestor and kill all the Iida. He almost succeeded. The man was finally killed by his own daughter, just as the first had been. This daughter's name was Iida Samono. She swore an oath that the clan would never teach another man the ways of the Tojikomeru Bushi. She made her daughter, Iida Masami, swear the same as long as an oath against killing without absolute need. Samono also taught he the long tale of her ancestors and all the techniques and traditions that she knew.

Description of Jutsu: The user creates thin chakra threads from their middle fingers. They then attempted to hit as many Chakra Holes as they can find and as fast as possible. The strikes are flat palmed but with the finger tips hitting the opponent. The user pushes and extends the chakra threads from their fingers into the opponent and can control it inside them.

History: The nomad people are the Blessed Children of Shukaku, having worshipped him since the beginning of time, and are proud of that fact. They rarely stay in the same place for more than a couple of weeks and are indigenous to the Wind Country. The nomads depend on their livestock for a living and their travels take them to wherever there is food for their cows.

They lived like this for many many years, enjoying a fulfilling spiritual life, with yearly pilgrimages to the sacred Cave of Frozen Sand to worship Shukaku. A beautiful crystal orb nearly 1 metre in length and perfectly round was their sacred artifact, enabling them to connect with Shukaku. They were the only inhabitants of Wind Country until 800 years ago, when they watched the village of Sunagakure gradually grow and fill with foreign shinobi, with a mixture of apathy and trepidation. Since then, settlements with foreign inhabitants have continued to pop up, dotting the once pristine desert landscape. Nonetheless, the nomads and the foreigners have continued to co-exist for hundreds of years with only minor skirmishes.

That all changed when the shinobi stole the Orb from the Cave of Frozen Sand, close to 2 years ago. Since then the nomads have been secretly hostile to the shinobi, but have realised that they are too small in number to properly fight, and that their fighting style is too specialised to boot. This is why they have toyed with and eventually decided on the idea of sending their children into the village, to learn the arts of the ninja. These children have to pass a rigorous selection process at age 12, and if they are chosen they head to Sunagakure's academy. The elders are confident that the children will not be turned away due to Sunagakure's openness. They also expect the children to find out any information on the Orb they can and report back.

Eventually, once they have enough people within Suna, and accurate information on the Orb's whereabouts, they hope to secure it safely with those men, and return to their normal life.

However, as with any group there are the extremists..

Physical Description: The wandering nomads are small and hardy, well-equipped for surviving on close to nothing in the desert. They are small (women under 5'3", men under 5'7"), so that less food and drink are needed to sustain them, and wiry and toned, due to the long walks on sand (not all of them get camels you know). However, despite this due to their size they may still not be as strong as the non-nomads. Their skin is darkly tanned after long exposure to the sun and they have onyx eyes and hair. Nomads usually wear white flowing robes, since the colour white repels heat and makes it easier for their body to regulate temperature.

Description of Limit: The nomad people have been rewarded for their loyalty to Shukaku with increased chakra control, especially in respect to sand manipulation. Their bodies are also naturally suited for certain tasks due to the process of evolution over the centuries (eg. riding, survival).

Misc. Info:

- The nomads value gems and precious stones very highly.
- Boys and girls are treated equally and indeed expected to undertake the same tasks and have a same degree of capability.
- The citizens of Sunagakure tend to view the nomads as uncivilised and uncouth.
- The fighting style of the nomads tends to be centralised into sand manipulation and wind jutsu, as well as the way of the kris. Genjutsu is almost non-existant. Don't even try to talk about Fuuin Jutsu to them.
- The chosen children are focused on their goal. How focused they are really does depend on the type of family they come from.
- The social structure of the nomads is as follows: They have one leader, a council of elders, and then the individual families. The families enjoy different degrees of power and reputation based on strength and numbers. Because of this families tend to have many children.
- The nomads have a very rigid set of morals that they do not break period. Because of this they find it difficult to sneak up on someone, lie to them, or otherwise do underhanded things. [Note: If they break the code of morals, they will be frowned upon by Shukaku and lose all ability to manipulate sand altogether. Shukaku will also not save them in times of mortal peril. They will be able to Sneak Attack and suffer no penalties to Sleight of Hand and Bluff afterwards. All other penalties and bonuses remain. To regain the favour of Shukaku they will have to make many offerings and prayers.

Description of Limit: Ryouri-nins are skilled chefs that can create numerous dishes with healing properties. These dishes range in variety and style and are often used in conjunction with other medical jutsus. Some claim that their skill in foods comes from a heightened sense of taste which allows them to taste the different ingredients used and determine the overall quality of dishes.

Due to the support-oriented training the Ryouri-nin undergo, their physical combat abilities tend to be lacking when compared to other shinobi. Ryouri-nin often cross-train in poisons and herbs, medical jutsu, and genjutsu.

History: Ryouri-nins (Cooking ninjas) originated in Kumogakure. Their original purpose was to assist their team or other teams by cooking flavorful foods that would bring up the team’s morale rather than having the team just eat small, flavorless meals and soldier pills. Although their purpose on the team was fulfilled, the consuming of such flavorful foods led to many shinobi on missions becoming addicted, causing them to gain weight in excess. This weight gain interfered with their missions and resulted in the removal of Ryouri ninja from team assembly. Lacking a use for their skill, many Ryouri-nin took on jobs as restaurant cooks and taste testers, however a few still roamed their country and cooked great meals for the shinobi teams they encountered. A few families of these Ryouri ninja banded together, deciding that they will still focus on their culinary talents but also gain new skills in the combative arts. It was then that the Ryouri clan was formed.

In time the Ryouri-nin and their skills spread down into many of the other countries. The majority stayed within Kumogakure, however branches were created in Konohagakure, Sunagakure, and Iwagakure. The burial of Kumogakure by an avalanche struck a large blow to the Ryouri-nin community due to the majority of Ryouri-nin living in the hidden village. Konoha became the new Mecca for all cooking ninja due to its central location and high levels of culture and trade. The Ryouri-nin, although still small when compared to their height before the fall of Kumo, grew in number and began to slowly rebuild their legacy.

The Ryouri-nin of today mostly focus on their skills in cooking, causing combat skills to lag behind when compared to combat oriented shinobi. They act as both supportive and combative roles in a team rather than for pure combat purposes, striving to benefit their team and not hinder them. It is not uncommon to see a Ryouri-nin which also specializes in herbs and poisons or in using medical jutsu. As of late, efforts to remove the stereotype of "support" have taken place in order to show other ninjas that the Ryouri clan are capable fighters.

Throughout the ages many recipes were created and expanded upon, which furthered countries in aspects of culture as well as the overall quality of food. Ryouri-nin believe strongly in the power of food, seeing food as a way to heal one’s body, mind, and spirit as well as temporarily improving one's abilities.

Although the number of recipes were numerous, the current leader of the Ryouri clan, Hiroyuki Ryouri, has defined the majority of Ryouri recipes into specific specialties and improving upon them. Many changes to the clan's traditions followed, such as the higher focus of ninjutsu and ninja skills for each Ryouri-nin at an earlier age, slowly leading the Ryouri clan towards a more self-sufficient and more efficient ninja.

Special: Reaching the Hanaita level allows you to select a food specialty. You may choose one of the three food classes for your specialty:

Jutsu Name: Hateshinai Meshi Rakuen no Jutsu (Endless Paradise of Food Technique)
Description of Jutsu: A genjutsu which envelopes its victim in an unending dining hall of food, spread out before them in all directions. All varieties of food the victim could possibly think of would appear before them arranged like one would find a gourmet buffet at a high class event. A feeling of intense hunger followed by the overwhelming urge to eat will nag at the victim until they eat. If they stop, they will be overcome with even stronger feelings. The more the target consumes while under the genjutsu, the more pleasure they will feel. While the victim is lost in the genjutsu, they are left open for attack by the caster or teammates.
