Ryuune growled low in his throat, his efforts to find the white numa who he considered a sister having failed so far. How could she not have come home? She knew better then anyone that there were dangers outside of the house! What if something had happened to her? What if she were hurt? Or captured? Or had fallen and broken something? He growled again, fixing his "brother" with a glare.
Nalikai rolled his eyes, fully understanding the situation, but to blame this all on him, well, that just wasn't fair. "Look, brother dearest," He said softly, green-gold eyes narrowed slightly, "It's not my fault she went out on her own yesterday. It was her decision."
"You encouraged it!"
"Because I thought she desired some time away from all us males, brother. If you haven't noticed, there are three of us. Not including your future child, and I thought she might like some time away." He raised a brow, "And to give us some time to get the candy for this 'Valentine's Day'" He humphed and whacked his tail against the ground. Really, was it his fault for doing such things?
"Aye, yer both roight." Grumbled the black form which currently resided on Ryuune's head, "Nalikai was roight in his decision to have Kechara go off on 'er own. Ryuune was roight in that you probaby shouldn't of had 'er go off without a promise to return soon." He sighed, twitching his ears, "But there's nuthin' we can do now. Let's jest go find 'er."

Kechara squeezed her eyes shut against the invading light. Why did it decide to wake her up now? And just as she was having the most wonderous dream. A dream where she and Briar became something more then friends and--she opened her eyes and blinked in astonishment. A familiar dark red greeted her eyes and she tilted her head upward to find a very familiar face near her own. Her face flushed crimson. Then--then it hadn't been a dream?
She sat up slowly, from both shock and the desire not to wake her sleeping mate. Her cheeks were stained a merry crimson as her mind cartwheeled back to the events from before she feel asleep. "Ah..." She whispered, blushing darker, had she really done all of that?

It was warm around him when he woke up, unlike the usual chill that lingered about still not over the winter months. A pleasant weight rested on him, but then it shifted and was gone completely. What? Where did it go? Briar almost whined and reached out to find where the weight had gone. Instead, he cracked open his eyes, and - Kechara!
Briar sat up quickly, shocked at her presence until memories of the previous came floating back to him. They had - They were - His cheeks heated with a blush, remembering their confessions.
"How does your leg feel?" he asked.

Ryuune trotted through the forest, muttering quietly to himself about merely being protective. Skan bounced on his head, clearly just managing to keep his hold on the snake-like numa. Where could Kechara have gone? What could have possibly prevented her from coming home? He weaved around a tree, pointedly ignoring the fact that his "brother" (hardly anything of the sort) was following close behind.
Nalikai sighed, trailing after his older brother, who continued to have an air of anger and frustration about him. Despite the way Ryuune seemed to act-and the pangs of worry he himself was having-he knew that Kechara was a grown numa and should be allowed to handle things herself. It was only fair, they demanded the same themselves. He cast his gaze about and scented the air, searching for any physical sign that Kechara may have passed through here. Nothing. He sighed again, maybe Kechara had left to go home? That scenario didn't seem likely, she never talked about her home. His ear-fins twitched as he sensed Ryuune moving farther away and sped up to catch up.
Skan bit his lower lip,chewing on it as he habitually did. He wanted to find his little lass, but where to look? He should have gone with her on her excuursion, at least then he would know where she was! He let out a tired sigh, all this for their Kechara, not that they minded her. She was a pleasure to be around and they missed her, enough so that not even twenty-four hours had passed before they went looking for her. That was love.

Kechara glanced at him then away, nervous and embarrassed from the night before, still in mild shock over what had happened between them. She jumped a bit at his abrupt question. She blinked then glanced down at her leg, where the bandage was firmly secured. "It's fine..." She answered softly, catching his gaze and looking away, cheeks still stained a color that seemed to become more permanent as time went on. She ran a paw through her multi-colored hair, "Um..." She mumbled, unsure of what to say next. What could she say? 'Good morning, love of my life'? That was just too....it just didn't fit the situation.

Briar nodded, not sure she was completely "fine" but he would take her word on it. The wound didn't look like it had gotten worse during the night. He stood and offered a hand to her to help her up. "Shall we go find something for breakfast?" he asked, smiling down at Kechara.

Ryuune paused mid-stride, his nose turned toward the breeze. Was it? It was. "This way." He said, altering his direction and speeding up. It was Kechara's scent alright, Kechara's and blood. "I told you sshe could be hurt!" He growled, a bit annoyed over the rythmic bump on his head. Such things became annoying after the first hour, even if he was distracted.
Nalikai nodded even though he knew Ryuune couldn't see it. inally they knew she was up ahead, even if she might be hurt. He didn't smell anything dead so she had to be alive still. With a faint smile, for he also caught another-distinctively male scent-he trotted after the two. This will be interesting...
Ow, ow, ow, ow, came the rythmic jolts of pain as Skan's behind and legs collided with Ryuune's skull again and again. Silently he promised never to ride on another numa again. It was too painful for his fragile lower half.

Kechara watched him out of the corner of her eye as he stood and she looked up at him as he held out his hand. She nodded once, smiled, and took his hand, getting to her feet and folding her wings onto her back as they wouldn't be much help here.
She flushed crimson again as her eyes caught his again and she glanced away, heart fluttering again. How could she have done that? Her mind reeled, she didn't regret doing it-far from that-but she was having a hard time believing any of this had happened, even after verything they had gone through.

Briar tugged on Kechara's paw, pulling her closer. He nuzzled his face lovingly against her neck, breathing in her scent. "What do you feel like eating this morning?" he asked, wanting to please her with a tasty breakfast of what she liked to eat. They were together now. The thought repeated happily through his mind.

Ah~ What a lovely sight to see. Two lovers together on the banks of a lake, clearly being affectionate. A pity the moment would be ruined, yes?
Ryuune skidded to a halt as they exited the forest, eyebrows shooting toward his hair from so many emotions-it was difficult to count them all. Kechara stood there with an eeriely familiar figure hiding her partially. A familiar red figure. Oh. Well. This was a surprise.
Nalikai whistled, taking a position next to Ryuune and grinning, "Well, we can't say she isn't in trouble now, can we?" He asked, tilting his head toward Ryuune, a playful smirk gracing his lips. He ignored Ryuune's stern gaze, shifting, tempted not to break the moment those two were having.
Skan was by far the most....obvious of the three. His jaw was un-hinged, had it not been attached by muscle and cartilidge, it would have fallen onto the ground. "What--when--" He pointed a talon accusingly at the two, putting his face right in front of Ryuune's eyes, "When did this happen?" He demanded, frantic. His lass was being intimate with someone and he had not known about it? He was crushed and elated, he was--well, entirely too pleased about the whole situation to be completely rational.

Kechara blushed darker as her body moved closer to Briar's but she automatically repeated the gesture with her own mimic, eyes half-lidded until they landed on a certain trio. "Ah--!" She yelped, clutching at Briar's arms and burying her face in his chest, shock and apprehension altering her demeanor. They were here? All of them? And they had seen--? "Oh dear, oh dear," She repeated over and over into his fur. She had wanted to tell them, of course she did, but--not now.

Briar didn't notice the arrival of the other three until Kechara held tighter to his arms and yelped. He spun his head around and spotted the three standing there. He gulped, mouth working up and down in surprise. He certainly had no plans in keeping his relationship secret from them, but he hadn't expected to tell them so soon.
"Um, hi," he said weakly, trying his best to smile at them.

Nalikai took the lead on this one. The other two seemed...a bit preoccupied. He sauntered up to the two, plopping himself done a few feet away, his entire demeanor one of amusment and inner gloating. "So," He began, smirking and raising his gaze to the two, "This is what you two have been doing, eh?" He tilted his head to the side, smirk still gracing his features, "Congradualations are in order, I take it?" He asked, raising a brow. Oh, he was going to have fun today.
Ryuune stared a moment longer, but forcibly regained his composure. Kechara and---Briar? It wasn't that they were abad combination--far from it, but the last conversation Ryuune had actually had with the red numa, the male had been intent on his brother. To find that he was with Kechara, well, it was a bit reasonable he'd be surprised. He carefully stepped toward them, managing to keep his distance from both the couple and Nalikai.
Skan coughed hollowly, watching everyone through silver eyes. This was--well, where he came from, potential mates were introduced to the family before anything serious came about. He hopped off of the snake-like numa's head, keeping his balance but still staring up at the two lovebirds, shock and approval in his eyes.
Kechara flushed darker as her ears caught Nalikai's words. She mumbled something that sounded vaguely like, "I'd like this dream to be over now." She raised her head, though it was still pressed against her mate's chest. It was a bit difficult to tell which was Briar's fur and which was Kechara, her face was that red. "Oh dear..." She whispered, clinging to Briar.

Briar couldn't stop the small smile on his face at Kechara's reaction. He gave her a gentle but reassuring squeeze. He wasn't leaving her side. They were in this "meeting the family" thing together. A blush came to his own cheeks at Nalikai's words.
"I suppose they are," Briar agreed, nodding to Nalikai. He glanced to Ryuune and Skan, taking the other three's expression in turn. None of them showed any outward signs of disapproval over his relationship with Kechara.

Nalikai shrugged, grinning all the same, "We were worried about you, Kechara," He told her calmly, his gaze flickering between the two, "We thought something was wrong when you didn't come home." He let out a sigh, spreading his arms and shaking his head, "Imagine our surprise to find you better then fine." He grinned, eyes sparkling, "A good choice, if I say so myself." He told her, eyeing Briar approvingly.
Ryuune sighed, allowing himself to relax visibly, "I have nothing againsst thiss." He said softly, looking at the two and nodding slightly, "Pardon uss if we sseemed ssurprissed." He was mildly tempted to mourn the loss of his "sister" but he knew she wasn't going far away at least, and he knew the male she was going to be with. He really had no reason to dislike this. It was just....a bit quick in his mind.
Skan shook himself, freeing his mind from the trance it had adopted. With a few short leaps her mangaed to crawl his way up Kechara's body and onto her shoulder, staring at Briar with searching eyes. Finally he nodded, "Aye." He said softly, looking down at Ryuune, "'E's a good one." He nodded as if that was that.
Kechara relaxed minisculaly at his squeeze, understanding what he meant. Still, her embarrassment glued her lips together and she couldn't speak. She was happy that her family approved, especially Skan, but still. Her face was crimson. "I-I..." she flushed darker, "I'm s-sorry I didn't come home." She managed to say through a thick tongue, "I didn't mean to worry you..."

Briar felt a swell of happiness upon hearing the other's approval to their rather sudden relationship. "Quick," he repeated with a small nod, "I suppose it was, but I like Kechara, and I want to be with her and make her happy." He nuzzled her neck. "Being with her makes me happy."
Briar lifted his head away from Kechara and looked between Nalikai and Ryuune. "I apologize for keeping her out all night. I didn't mean to make you all worry about her."

Nalikai gave Ryuune a look, "Quick, eh? What about you and your girl?" He asked. He hadn't been given any details on Ryuune's love life, and was therefore perfectly within in ignorant right to assume such. Nalikai looked back at Briar, "A good philosophy." He replied softly, "Make sure you keep it." He wasn't trying to be rude or mean, he was making a statement. No one harmed Kechara and was allowed to leave unscathed. His gaze softened as he watched the two, well, he didn't really think this one would do something like that anyway.
Ryuune shot a glare at the bloody numa, "Months, Nalikai. It took months." He replied coldly, eyeing the other numa with distaste, "I'm sure your little wooing is taking just as long." He rolled his eyes and dismissed the arguement, this was a happy moment, there was no need to spoil it. He shrugged, a smile gracing his maw, "I'm ssure we can allow for thiss one time." He replied airily, "It'ss not like sshe wass in danger or anything of the sort." He grinned toothily.
Skan shrugged, sniffling a bit and crawling his way down Kechara and back to Ryuune, he sniffed again, "Me baby's all grown up." He mumbled, wiping away a tear and smiling, "But ye better not her her, boy!" He told the red male, "Or I'll skin you!" He pointed a finger defiantly at him.
Kechara's eyes widened in surprise as Briar spoke and she fought off the desire to cry. She simply nodded an agreement of her own into his fur. She stared at Skan as he spoke and smiled, giggling a bit, "Told you." She whispered at Briar as Skan threatened him. She was truly happy that her family approved of Briar and was actually beginning to feel the blush fade on her cheeks, a remarkable experience indeed.

"I certainly will," Briar assured Nalikai. He had no desire in his heart to leave Kechara or harm her. He promised to be with her, and he was going to stick to that promise.
Briar chuckled at Skan's comment. "You did indeed," he said to Kechara, grinning as he nuzzled against he neck again.

Nalikai shrugged, easily allowing the arguement to fade and nodded at Briar, "I would hope so." He replied and stood, stretching, "Come Ruuney, let's leave the love birds to their privacy." He sauntered off, fully expecting Ryuune and Skan to follow him.
Ryuune glared standing himself and pausing. He turned, "Don't be afraid to come around the housse, Kechara." He said solemnly, gray eyes glittering, "We expect both of your companiess ssoon!" He trotted after Nalikai, intending to teachhim never to call him "Ruuney" again.
Skan followed the others examples saluting them merrily from his place on Ryuune's back, "Don't be strangers!" He shouted, waving merrily at them before being forced to latch onto Ryuune's fur before he slipped off and landed ungracefully.
Kechara sighed enjoying the sensation of Briar's nuzzling. She blinked in surprise as she realized that Ryuune and the others were leaving. "Oh!" She flushed crimson, "Um...." She took a deep breath, "We'll come by soon!" She shouted, surprising herself with the volume she could muster, "Don't worry!" She turned back to Briar, eyes alight with happiness, "Um...." She glanced away, then back to him, "What was it you were saying about breakfast?" She asked softly, discovering the hunger tht had lain dormant through the entire proceedings.
