The large room is just at the end of a short hall from the doors into the outside courtyard that leads to the streets of downtown Barton. The large stone fireplace is straight ahead of you if you enter from the entryway. The stone tile in the room is surprisingly welcoming, with the orange glow from the three sconces on either wall, accompanied by a large iron chandelier hanging from the middle of the ceiling.
There are two large openings on both sides of the room, encased by two ionic columns on each side of the archway. Looking into the one on the left as you enter the room, it contains a small room with a large picture window on the opposite wall that looks out upon the garden on the side of the mansion turned guild.. A window seat is below the window with several pillows scattered on the top of it. There are two different doors on the right and left wall of the small room, leading to a library and a parlor, respectively.
The other opening leads deeper within the guild into the dormitory hall which houses not only ten different apartments, but is also home to a small cafe at the end of it that opens to the outside. On the wooden door that leads to the cafe, its owner, La Veli, has hung the oh-so-welcoming sign:
"I'm away, get your own ******** coffee!"
The wall that contains the stone fireplace also has a small nook in the corner that houses a wrap around cushioned bench. A stack of books is on the shelf waiting for someone to read them. On the other side of the fireplace is a door that leads to the back part of the building, which in turn leads to the lower levels and second and third floor.
