I usually try to veer away from drama--I mean drama in people's lives, but the drama that goes on in Hot Gimmick is so good. Ms. W bought the first volume of this manga and gave it to me the next day saying how flippin' awesome it was. She was right. I just purchased the 11th and 12th volumes today. I can't wait to read it tonight. I just wanted to post this before I curled up in bed with the last two volumes.
I guess I should tell you what it's about. This girl Hatsumi is asked a favor by her younger sister: to go buy her a pregnancy test. When she returns she accidentally bumps into her personal bully who discovers the pregnancy test. Hatsumi asks him to keep it a secret because it would be too scandalous (you'd have to read it to undersand exactly why) which he agrees to with the condition that she become his slave. And that's just the start of it.
There's no magic or fantasty in this story--just drama. Good, filthy, emotional drama.

crying why why why! I did not like the ending to this manga.... I wish there were more volumes. The story was good though! lol

YES! Just finished it! *Waves Flashy Giant Foam Hands*, "Ryoki! Ryoki! He's Our Man! If He Can't Woo Her, No-One Can!" I really did like the ending, but i can't help but wonder, what if...followed of course by endless combinations of hatsumi and all the other guys she was in it with. anywho, it totally rocked.
