Gyakuten Saiban 3 is still yet to recieve conformation for an American/Other release.

- Currently, a "Plead Your Own Case" contest is being held, which asks fans to plead why GS3 should be released in English. Said contest can be found at the Official Forums.

Known Characters:

User ImageOdoroki Housuke (22) - The protagonist of the game. He is "hot blooded, mischievous" and "lively" according to an interview with the director. Odoroki uses his bracelet for the "minuku system", which allows him to see people's nervous gestures.

User ImageMinuki-chan (?) - Odoroki's sidekick. She is a magician. The director describes her as "a precocious young girl, the kind that stands up on her toes to get at you."

User ImageKirihito Garyuu (32) - Odoroki's mentor. He is cool-headed, mature, and tends to smile a lot. Supposedly is good friends with Phoenix.

User ImagePhoenix Wright (33) - The defendant of the first case. He plays piano at a Russian restaurant, as well as poker. He is very laid back and tends to brag a lot.

User ImageKyouya Garyuu (24) - The prosecutor of the game. Kirihito's younger brother. He is the vocalist in a band called "Garyuu Wave."

User ImageWinston Payne (61) - The prosecutor over the first case. Pretty much the same as ever, despite his new hair-do.

User ImageKagerou Urafushi (?) - Victim of the first case. The only known thing is that he loves grape juice.

User ImageThe Judge (?) - The same ol' lovable judge is back to preside over the cases. Is disappointed by Phoenix's new occupation/lifestyle in Case 1.

User ImageTakita (?) - Seems to be the defendant of Case 2.

User ImageBroom Lady (?) - Appears in Case 2. May be a witness or otherwise involved with the case.

User ImageEma Skye (25) - The detective of the game. She has fulfilled her dream and has many new techniques to find clues with. Judging by the screenshots, she seems to have an air of confidence and sarcasm about her.

Turnabout Trump:
Turnabout Trump (part one) can be played (in Japanese) at the Official Gyakuten Saiban 4 Website.
The translation can be found here, courtesy of Court Records.

A Video Demonstrating New Investigation Methods

New Investigation Methods:
Fingerprinting:
User Image
Ema's aluminum-power fingerprint taking returns after only being in one case. It's almost or exactly the same technique; tap the screen, blow, match the fingerprints. I have yet to see anything regarding Luminol blood finding, though.
Footprinting:
User Image
Ema now has a new technique to go with fingerprinting: footprinting. By the looks of it, this involves pouring some kind of liquid into a footprint, and then drying it with a hairdryer-like tool.
3D Room Models:
User Image
During court, you will now be able to view the crime scene in a 3D model. You can rotate it, and will probably point out contradictions according to where things are located in the room.

Promotions:
Odoroki Headphones - Red headphones with a white logo imprinted on the sides and top. They don't look exactly best quality, but they're cool nonetheless. (picture up a.s.a.p.)

GS Dictionary - A "game" containing all the information from the past games. I believe it includes character profiles, case descriptions, maps, and music, but I'll have to double-check. (picture up a.s.a.p.)

Odoroki T-Shirt - Red t-shirt with Odoroki's silhouette on the front and a logo on the side. I don't remember if there's something on the back or not; I'll have to find a picture. (picture up a.s.a.p.)

Gyakuten Saiban 4 Calendar - Is going to be on sale in Japan in March for 1,260 yen (about $10.50 US). Can be seen here.

Wow, I saw Phoenix's pic quite a few times earlier, but I never realized that was him! I guess the lack of spikes confused me...LOL...

So no Gumshoe? It's bad enough there's no Edgey (known so far), but no lovable Gumshoe? Did he finally lose his job? I mean, I like Ema, but Gumshoe > Ema

Between Gumshoe and Ema, it's a REALLLLLY tough choice... can't they just co-exist? D= Though I am delighted to have her back in GS4. But without Edgey or Gumshoe and with minimal Phoenix, she might not make the game worth playing. LE SIGH.....Though I gotta say, I'm glad to see the end of Maya.

Payne is OLD! eek

xD; Well, it is nine years after the first game. He was only 52 in the first game. That's not that bad.

61 is not that old, von Karma and Grossburg were both older than that in AA.

Yes, seven years after GS3, therefore it's 9 years after GS1. ^^

I hope that they Retcon Gs4 from the timeline if phoeninx still stops being a lawyer when it comes to america. What happens to him? Or at least have him nmake a comeback. HEs phoenix wright! The turnabout king!!!! I whould have no problem with odorki and phoenix being lawyers at the same time.

Why would Phoenix stop being a lawyer? That seems like a contradiction in itself.
First game, you are phoenix Wright, Rookie detective
Second game, you are Phoenix wright
Third game, you are Ema Skye? Detective?
Isnt the name of the game in the continued series called "Phoenix Wright, Ace attorney"? No offense but how can this be correct?

Going by the site you went by, in Phoenix Wrights old profile it states "Phoenix has wanted to be a defense lawyer since he was a kid"
What are the storywriters doing here?

Edit - I think I found the reason.

Quote:
Further evidence can be found in the recently released (and utterly superb) Justice for All, which made the Phoenix Wright name less prominent and placed the focus on Ace Attorney. This is likely in preparation for an English version of Gyakuten Saiban 4, the forthcoming built-for-DS sequel that stars a new protagonist.

I'm confused of what you're trying to say. First of all, you are Phoenix in the third game. Secondly, in the fourth game you are Odoroki Housuke, a defense attorney. If they decide to bring four to America, the title of the game will likely be "[Odoroki's English Name]: Ace Attorney."
