Fullmetal Alchemist, another one of my favorites.
Alchemy: My favorite would defenitely have to be Roy's fire alchemy, although it's closely followed by the soul transfer alchemy Al had in the movie.
Characters: Ed and Al Elric, Roy Mustang, Riza Hawkeye, Maes Hughes, Scar, Envy, Wrath, Greed, Pride (Fuhrer King Bradley)

Alchemy: nothin beats al's soul transfer magic in the movie XP
Characters: i like Winry most, closely followed by a tie between Ed and Al...
Pairings: blame the shonen-ai/yaoi guild, but i'm rather fond of Ed/Al, though i like Ed and Winry better...
