Well, in the dubbed version, Jiraya just sounds like a random man off the street. Even I could do his voice!
(Inner Me : But I'm a girl! ._____.; )
(Yeah. I know. stare )
And in the Japanese version, after watching the dubs, Orochimaru's voice doesn't really sound like it suits him all that much. Or maybe it's just because I got used to it...?

I forgot what Japanese Gai sounds like, but the English version deserves a mention in this thread.

Gai and Lee are definately two of my favorite characters. Just because they're so funny. And I love the whole 'Yooooouth~!' thing. lol

And just to think... the same guy who's doing the English voice of Gai is actually going to be voicing Itachi, too...

Well, I guess if he's doing two different characters with, like, opposite personalities, he's gotta be good.
I swear to God. If they ruin Itachi's smexy character, I'm gonna be so-o-o mad... sweatdrop
(The guy's name is 'Skip', for goodness sake. I mean you can't blame me for not trusting someone who was named after a type of cheap peanut butter.)

I love Naruto's Japanese voice! It's so adorable! 4laugh heart I love Shikamaru's English voice, and Gai's. XD Lee's is good, too.

i think ive heard shika's Japanese voice too, in a song, and i think its awesometasticness!!! anything that has to do with shikamaru is awesometasticness!!!!! xd xd xd xd

It's just...off), Jiraiya, Sakura, Shino ( ;_; They make him sound.....just bad).....xD xD xD That's a lot of people. I HOPE to God that Tsunade's voice sounds...Tsunade-ish. I'll die if they don't at least do HER justice.

I know. The Japanese actors are definately better; they did a better job finding VA's there than here. They suit their personalities better. It could be because I watched it a little too much, but seriously, I hate the dubs now. Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi are the only ones I can't really tell much difference in. Other than that... *stabs*
Watch them ruin Tsunade too. It's practically destined for them too mess it up. [Heh. Sounded like Neji!] But anyway. I can see myself not ever veiwed dubbed Naruto again in the future... the very near future. Considering Sarutobi's death is taking 10 years. And then there's the fight with Garra. MOVE IT PEOPLE!

Check out the voice actor for Gai. Now look at the voice actor for Itachi. Heh... yeah, it's definitely going to suck.
But here's a small sample of how he's -sorta- going to sound like. It's the first cameo from that flashback Sasuke had in the Forest of Death. Listen to him! He sounds like a freakin' club bouncer! gonk

And I ADORE Junko Takuchi's (Naruto's) voice. It's so cute when she sings!! And the radio show is hilarious.
