I was watching the anime the other day, and I didn't understand something. When Rena dies in the haunted house and is put into the hospital with a coma, she didn't log out. That much I understood.
What confused me, is that, if she's in the hospital with a coma, how can she still play the game? You still see her talking and etc. in the game but I thought that she was in the hospital..O.o Is her mind like still in the game or what?
..Hope someone can answer that ^^;

That's the phenomenon that occurs in //SIGN, although it rarely does in the games. When Tsukasa is in a coma, his player is lying in a hospital bed, but his character is still playing in "The World." It has to do with the idea that when you are playing, your consciousness is in the game. When people fall into comas, their body "dies" and their consciousness has nowhere to go, so it becomes trapped in the game until the body is restored. Tsukasa was complaining that he could smell, touch, and even feel pain. It's as if his body had shifted into the game. That's what happened to Rena, but on a far less sophisticated level.

Just to explain this, we have already come to the conclusion that being able to Tsukasa around while your real life body is in a coma cannot be explained by science. It is a natural phenomena. There is no true explanation for this incident but it seems the player's mind is trapped in the game, but still being able to be connected to the body. Science can't explain how your mind is stuck in a game but still be able to have a connection with your body. Well, science can't really explain how your mind got trapped in a game anyways.
