"Faye, sweetie! Don't go too far now." Eight called, smiling and watching the cherub zip about in the air high above their heads. Faye waved down at her family and blinked, quickly stopping her wings to fall into Eight's arms and fix her shirt.
"It falls like your dress at the wedding kept doing!" She giggled, the giggle growing into a laugh at the bright blush she'd managed to force onto her mother's face. "Your clothes are different now that Daddy's around! Why?" Eight smiled and poked her daughter's nose gently.
"I'll never tell. Now you go play, maybe you'll find Aislinn and Lani today." Faye nodded and fluttered out of her mother's arms, flying straight for the orphanage and abandoning her family. The rest of the girls took their seperate paths as well.
---
"Liaaaaaaam! I'm bored! When can we go do something?" A pitiful voice whined. A dog eared girl sat back on one of the couches in the living room, glaring at a taller boy who looked exactly like her save for the obvious differences. "Can I go cook or something? You've got to be hungry!" Liam shrugged.
"We ate half an hour ago." He stated, fixing something on the head of a plushie he was holding. He'd done the ear all wrong! His twin's ears weren't that shaped! "If you're so bored then go find someone to talk to." Pandora could be so annoying sometimes, but he had no choice but to love the girl. Liam blinked and looked up when he was given no answer, looking up at Pandora before following her gaze to a red headed girl with...wings on her head?
"Ooooh! Liam! What're those things on her head?!"
"They look like wings to me. Must be some sort of demon." A really cute demon at that...
"Well duh! I have to go see if they're real!" Liam rolled his eyes.
"Curiosity killed the dog."
"...I thought it killed the cat."
"Well in this case it's a dog. You don't look like a cat to me..." He picked up the little plushie he was sewing to inspect it. Hm, looked fine...the white eye could use some fixing though. Pandora pouted.
"What straight man sews dolls?"
"This one does, and it's not a doll it's that plushie you've been bugging me to make."

Ioyla hiked up her skirt. God, this freaking thing was driving her up the wall. Why did she choose a skirt to go to a freaking orphanage. There were probably pervy little boys just waiting for the moment when Ioyla had to walk up steps. ...pervs. "I'M HUNGRY!" she complained loudly, twisting her scrawny arms into a jumble of limbs atop her head.
The shard, which she had hardly been seperated from these past few days, jingled in her pocket, clinking against the spare gold that shared the pocket. Ioyla pulled her skirt up again, mumbling about her wretched article of clothing. "When we're done can we go to a burger joint or something? I'm starving like a ********> She paused. "Mofo, my bad."
---
A tiny little dog girl watched two bickering twins from a chair near the couch, crimson ears twitching. She had been dying to talk to them, but her own introvertive personality had kept her back. At the mentioning of a demon, Yeos' ears twitched. Demon?
Her gaze followed the twin's, stopping at a red-head with, indeed, wings on her head. And a whining other, one who seemed to be adjusting her skirt every ten seconds. She giggled to herself, shifting her position to suit her quickly numbing rear. Yeos remained silent, still studying the twins, amused smile spreading her pretty, pale lips.

Sophia looks up curiously as she hears two other kids bickering. "Huh? Hmm, mebbe I can play a prank on them or something... That'll be fun!" She smiles to herself, standing up while grabbing Tuck's collar at the same time. "C'mon, Tuck! Let's go play something with those two!" She giggles as she walks over.
"Awww, Soph', do we have to? Maybe they just wanna be left alone...? We shouldn't bother them, some people get bothered when someone they don't know talks to them..." The copper fox boy looks around, and has a shy expression on his face as he watches the two teenagers.

He rounded the corner from the entrance hallway, stepping into the living room without a second thought. He wasn't that tall, probably standing at a good 5'7", a nice average height for a boy his age. He wore a pair of sunglasses, and they were lowered just enough for anyone looking at him to get a glance at his crystalline blue eyes. Or rather eye, as his reddish-orange tipped hair covered his right eye. The dog's red-tipped ears made him look a lopsided to say the least, as his pierced ear was raised, and the non-pierced ear was lowered.
He gave a brief smile to the pair in the room, and with a surprisingly shy air about him, looked away and surveryed the room for a good spot to sit down. The red-headed boy ended up sitting down near the window, in a place that was half in the light, and half in the shadow...mainly because that meant he could easily move should he get to hot or too cold.
The boy was followed shortly by a female dressed in green, with hair to match. Her brown tail gave an excited wave as she noticed there were people in the room, her slender digits moving up to briefly brush her ale green bangs from her face, and then to comb through her darker green pigtails, making sure her appearance was neat. Once she was satisfyed, she waved to the occupants of the room.
"Hello!"

"Perhaps you should invest in some longer skirts...or even a belt." Eight teased, glancing back at her friend. Even Eight never had a problem with skirts, and she didn't wear them all that often! The one article of clothing she did have to fight with was anything that lacked straps...or sleeves. Damn. The halfling blinked and looked up when someone mentioned something about wings and demons, instinctively raising a hand to flick at her wings with a sigh.
"These things are a nightmare...we'll get food eventually, I always take the girls here! But if you're so hungry I'll go into the kitchen and make you something." Eight sighed again and ran a hand through her hair. "You're such a freeloader."
---
Pandora sat back down on the couch beside her brother, taking some of his hair and braiding it. "What straight man sews at all?" SHe knew it was a stereotype, but Pan had never seen a man sew! Except for Liam, that is. The dog stole his bookbag for a minute to search through it, finally finding a bunch of clear elastics to put at the end of the braid that she'd put in there. Liam sighed and swatted his sister's hand away.
"I'll have you know that there are plenty of men."
"Name three." Liam paused, staring blankly at Pandora. One black ear twitched at the sound of footsteps, fully relieved that he was going to be saved from answering. He glanced back to see a girl running towards them. Hey! A girl! Perfect! Wait...too many girls, his masculinity could be threatened! Luckily another boy was in the room now too. Pandora waved to Sophia and smiled, looking up at a sudden hello coming from someone else.
"Hello!"

This little shiny lump-" She pulls Tuck forward, the motion causing him to roll over in a heap to the front side of Sophia-"Is my brother, Tuck." She pokes him with a toe. "C'mon Tuck, introduce yourself!"Tuck sighs futilely. "Oh, fine, if you have to insist..." He looks up at the two dog kids. "I'm Tuck..." He says, reluctantly holding his hand out while curling his tail around his waist.

"How're you?" The girl's question was directed at anyone who felt like answering. Her tail was still swaying happily behind her, her ears lowered in the excitement of meeting people. At the mention of sewing, her interest was peaked and she found herself walking over to the one who was sewing.
"Boys can sew?" She asked almost curiously. "Oh well! Its rare to find anyone who can sew, I think. Can I see what you're making?" She asked sweetly, clasping her hands behind her back and looking down at the seated seamster.
---
The red-headed boy on the other hand, he sat where he was, saying nothing to no one. It wasn't that he was self-centered, he just wasn't much of a people person. Around people he knew he was a social butterfly, but since this room was filled with strangers, his soon-to-be sibling included...well, he was shy. He tried to hide this of course, by looking as non-chalant as completely possible. Which was easy for him, as he was a most wonderful actor.

Pandora smiled brightly and waved to the girl that was asking how they were. "Perfectly fine! Just a little on the bored side, it's kinda dead today..." She replied cheerily, one black ear flicking when her twin's sewing was pointed out. She covered her mouth to try and muffle her laugh, receiving an elbow to her side a moment later. Ow. Liam sighed in defeat when another girl commented on his sewing, staring at the plushie. It needed something...the hair looked so...plain. "Yes we can sew. I don't get what the big deal is, it's just a needle and thread. This is a plushie Pandora's been bugging me to make that looks like her...what do you two think?" There were too many girls! Even the little cat was a girl! And that boy over there wasn't as comforting as he'd hoped, he wasn't saying a word! Damnit, Liam was screwed. Pandora grinned and hugged her twin tightly, looking down at the two children introducing themselves. Aww!
"You're so cute, Sophia!" Pandora chirped, reaching down to hug the two children and sit them on her lap. "It's very nice to meet you both! I'm Pandora, and this is Liam!" This was directed at both children and the other girl they were talking to.

[*goes blind at Soph's font* x.x]
Ioyla reached out to flick Eight on the back of the arm. "Number one freeloaded in all of Gaia," she said, flexing her muscles like a complete dork. She saw Tahnee children collecting near the couch. Awww, how cute! Wait. No. Bad. Bad! Ioyla no likey chilluns. This is true. ...dammit.
A blonde-haired dog girl caught her attention for some reason, although Ioyla could not explain why. She was just sitting in a chair, near a corner, twiddling her thumbs. She seemed to be preoccupied with watching the other children chatter and introduce themselves.
---
Yeos nervously scratched her neck. She swung her legs on the chair, feet brushing against the ground. A very quiet sigh blew through those once smiling lips. After a few moments of silent thought, the girl finally worked up the courage and shuffled over to join the children by the couch.
"Hello," she said once there. Her tone was painfully shy and quiet, but friendly, nonetheless. She brushed a blonde lock behind her ear and smiled. "I'm Yeos."

Eight smiled, and bat at Ioyla. "Yeah, yeah. You're so lazy. I bet those muscles aren't even real." She teased, wrapping one arm around her friend's neck and keeping her in a headlock. "You'll find that children give a lot of exercise! Keep you running around serving them hand and foot. Bah! You're lucky you live alone!" It was obvious Eight was kidding, but she'd sworn to herself that seven would be her limit. No more children unless they were really hers...but...that wouldn't happen for a long time. She paused. "...Of course, if you got yourself a boyfriend he could probably keep you ac--"
"Mommaaaaa!" Eight jumped and nearly tore Ioyla's head off, letting go of her friend and turning to Faye. "I can't find theeeem!" Eight frowned. Alania must not have been here yet, same with Ane.
"Well you could wait...but I know how impatient you are..." Eight tapped at her chin in thought, smiling brightly and waving a hand. "Just find someone else to talk to until they get here!" Faye frowned and looked around, spotting the crowd of people she didn't know.
Wait...people she didn't know! That was horrible! She had to meet them! The cherub nodded to her mother and fluttered over to the group. Ooh! Were these dogs?!
---
Liam blinked and looked up, his eyes widened when another girl came over. He should sit here more often! The boy was gradually getting used to having all these girls around, and perhaps it wasn't so bad after all...two of them were pretty cute dogs! But that demon girl with the wings...damn! She looked their age too!
"Liam? ...Liaaaaam~!" Pandora pouted and waved a hand in front of Liam's face, hoping to draw his attention back to reality. What was up with him today? She yelped as her wrist was suddenly grabbed, tugging her hand away to throw her arms around Liam in a tight hug and nuzzle her cheek against his head. "Aww! Did we upset you by talking about your sewing like that? I'm sorry!" Liam blinked. Wait, what? Oh, that was right; they were teasing him.
"It's no big deal...hey, what did you do with your ribbon? This doll needs it for her hair..." He searched through his bag for the ribbon, finally finding it and tying it around the end of the plushie's braid. There, it was perfect now. Pandora squealed and took the gift, hugging it tightly and looking up at the flapping of wings and another female voice.
"Hello, Yeos! Interesting name, never heard one like it. I'm Pandora! And the seamster here is Liam."
...
Something was tugging at her ears. Why was something tugging at her ears? If it was Liam picking on her then heads would roll. Her white eye twitched faintly, glancing up at to see it was just a little cherub playing with her ears. What a relief! "Hi there cutie. Having fun?" Faye giggled and nodded.

"No, sorry, I'm not going to do it."
Silence.
"I have stuff to do today."
Even more.
"None of your business. Can't you give me a break?"
Sukkubus was halfway towards the front door of the orphanage, barely recognizable in the get-up she adorned. She...almost looked like a boy - well, from far away, anyway. Her face was a bit too round and feminine, and her assets screamed 'woman', but that isn't the point I'm trying to make. No. Not at all. Her blonde hair was pulled back tightly, resting in a short and spikey ponytail just below her crown. Resting on her nose was a pair of quaint, black glasses that stood out against her pale skin. Her baggy shorts, equally baggy shirt, and giant jacket didn't help remove the masculinity from her appearance at all.
But did she give a damn? Hell no! She had no one to dress up for.
She teetered on the balls of her feet, cellphone plastered to her dog-like ear. It wasn't hers, of course (she didn't own one), but Ambruzzi's - seeing from the pasty pink color and the strawberry dangling from the clip...whose else would it be?
"Look, I'm not coming in. If ya want me, you can get off your keester. Then you'll have to kill me and drag my corpse into the office," she quipped into the phone, one hand itching to rest on her hip were it not for the child on her back. She hated going to work...why should she when she could work in the leisure of her own home?
"Ha! Right. I'm going. What? No, not to the office! Stick that in your pipe and smoke it," she snapped triumphantly, shutting the cell with a pleasing click.
"Go mama! Fight the sys'em!" Ruka crowed, having no idea what the phrase actually meant. He grinned and kicked her sides, trying to urge her forward like a horse. Sukku laughed and crammed the phone into her pocket, walking into the orphanage boisterously.
"What's goin' ooon-- dogs. Mutts everywhere!"
"Puppies!"
Really not her day. She wasn't exactly a fan of dogs...they were the de-evolution of men. The she-devil groaned as if in pain and lowered her ears, wondering if she should have gone into the office today. The prospect seemed much better than this.
"Lemme pet one! Oh, that one! No...THAT one! Um...um..."

Aislinn fluttered about pulling Miette along. Kali had been forced to stay home while Rosalind and Cyrus kept her under surveillance. Leaving Prem, who was holding onto Ane's left hand walking along in hopes of finding Emma. He had thought of something he was desperate to ask her though it was such a simple and perhaps odd question.
The cherub led the group into the orphanage looking around for her friends. She spotted Faye as she fluttered over to a group. Letting out a squeal, the cherub let go of Miette and rushed over jumping at the other cherub. "Faye!" she shouted out joyfully. She was always excited to see her friends when she was in a good mood.
"Mother...they look different. What are they?" Miette asked pointing to a few dog tahnees. The mouse hadn't seen a dog before, except in books and movies. To see a tahnee with dog features distracted her from the obvious.
"Why don't you go ask them?" Ane suggested. Miette didn't like doing things herself, she preferred watching from the sidelines. Her mother was trying to help her grow and the mouse nodded tentatively her pink hair rustling behind her.

((Holy crap, purple and darkmagenta look almost the same. x.x))
"Are they real?"
"Yes dear, now--ow--can you stop? They're kind of attatched..." Pandora winced softly, smiling when the cherub finally let go of her ears and looking down at Tuck. Siblings? Wasn't it obvious? "Mhm, we're twins." One hand rose to gesture to her eyes and hair before she tugged at the collar of Liam's shirt to lean him over enough to show off his own eyes, the exact same colors yet in the opposite eye. "Liam's taller by a couple inches, but we're twins alright!" She giggled, watching Liam squirm out of her hold and lean back against the arm of the couch. Girls could be so weird sometimes, at least Pandora was getting the fun she wanted. That girl was always good with people.
"...RUKA!" Faye squealed, flying towards him and throwing her arms around the boy in a hug. She hadn't seen him in AGES! The cherub spun around with him a few times, never letting go of the blonde cupid. "Look at all the dogs! Aren't they cool? They're all so different! And their ears are real and they have tails and those two have TWO colored eyes! And they're twins and that girl is kinda quiet and--AISLINN!" First Ruka, now Aislinn! This was so wonderful! Now they needed Lani and this would be perfect! The cherub finally let go of Ruka and hugged Aislinn instead, knowing she could ramble to her without being called a cootie-head.
"Lookit all the dogs! Aren't they cool?!"

Ioyla would have butted heads with Eight, had she the chance. Her friend was pulled away the moment Ioyla pushed her head forward, and since there was nothing there to collide with, the demon nearly fell on her face. She regained her composure quick enough to throw up her arms and shriek "I'M OKAY!"
She spotted several new people coming in. Even a devil. A little sliver of disgust wormed its way up her throat. Ioyla faked a gag, turning away from Sukku. Her mother had told her devils were terrible things, and they should be hated. So she did. RACISM! Ioyla thought about approaching the little crimson-eared dog girl, but she still held back next to Eight. The demon wrapped an arm around her friend's waist, pulling her in. "Can we hurry it up here? I'm starvin."
---
Yeos quietly giggled at Pandora's silliness. "I like the plushie you're making," she said to Liam, reaching out to pluck at the tail. "Very cute." She giggled again when the tiny little cherub flew over to pluck at Pan's ears. She could feel herself already warming up to these people.
Ears pricking, Yeos felt like she was being watched. Her mismatched eyes scanned the room until they fell upon the brunette in the skirt. She blinked, rubbing her green eye. Yeos thought she looked very uncomfortable in the skirt. Perhaps she should go talk to her...?
