I never really expected much out of Battlelore but i was very pleasantly suprised when i put it on. I got fed yp with power metal for a while and i had gone back and fourth between buying it or not but i found a copy of Sword's Song at Tower Record's shortly before they closed. The cd blew me away, it was really good. I was expecting something really chessy and lame judging by the inside cd pamphlet. Its really heavy and i friggin love the vocals. Its not what i had expected at all and i highly recommend checking them out, it you have put them off.

To the lair of the beast I'll ride With my magic it's easy to hide In those caves full of remains Of fallen heroes who died by flames

I actually saw Battlelore about a year ago. They were the warm up band for Bal-Sagoth and I'd never heard them before. They were quite good, I remember liking them.
