The light was fadeing fast and Glow hurried along, attempting to make it back home before dark. She wasn't scared or anything she just...wasn't fond of the dark per say. She much prefered the day for simple nicer things usually dwelled there. In all honestly however she was perfectly happy in any time as long as she wasn't alone. It was one of her fears, being alone at night...out in the open...where anything can get her...She shuttered and hurried along, her bag of flowers bouncesing against her.

Tka-ih preferred the night, really. There was something comforting about the darkness, a blanket he could hide beneath. His ears canted toward the hoot of an owl, and he whuffed in reply with a small smile.
Part of him desperately wanted the closeness of the other Soquili that frequented this place. He had been alone a long time before he came here, so long he could not recall what being around others was like. Some part of his heart remembered, though, cried out for their company.
He wished his head remembered why, but forgetfulness was something he had learned to accept.
In any case, the others never seemed as close as the shroud of shadows.
He trotted deeper into its embrace.

Glow continued along, not paying attention anywere but ahead until a strange looking stallion came into her view. She froze, mouth open slightly. It...He wasn't like anyone she had ever seen! She let out a small eep...He looked like many horses had been put together...and part of her was curious...another was terrified. She forced herself to move along, continueing forward. If he didn't see her then she would just continue home...if he did and he stoped her...well she hoped he was friendly...

Tka-ih blinked and paused at the sound of hooves besides his own, then quickly spotted their owner.
The mare seemed to glow in the moonlight, and he could not miss her widened eyes. He was surprised to see another out at night, but this one clearly would rather be anywhere else.
Whickering politely, he nodded greeting to her. "Are you lost, Miss?" he offered.

Glow froze again at the stallions words. Not only was her simple fear of stallions causeing her to freeze up but the unknown of this one...and she found herself ashamed at how rude she was being. She shook her head and looked down. "N-No, sir, i am not..." she replied before looking back up at him. "I...well...I was just heading home...its getting late and i'm expected home..." she said, trying to force herself to stop her rude behavior. She was not a rude mare by nature and she hated to think somone would belive she was. "My name...is Glow Heart..." she said lightly.

It did not occur to him that she was frightened by his appearance. His own unease put to rest by hers, he attempted a reassuring smile, dipping his head. "And I am Tka-ih. It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss."
He glanced back past the trees, to the wink of firelight from the many teepees there. "Home is there? We are neighbors, then."

Glow shook her head again. "Its a pleasure to meet you Tka-ih. but i belive we are not, at least not close neighbors...i live in that directions but it is away from most others, by a crystal clear river and down stream from a flower bed where i normally collect flowers...today i went to a diffrent place farther away, however..." she said lightly, looking down.

"Ah, I see." the stallion nodded, noting that the mare still shivered, ever-so-slightly, a shimmer in a moonlit pond. "My pardon, though, you seem ill at ease, and that is a long walk. Would you like some company on your way?"

The offer slightly startled the mare and she had half a mind to refuse. But it was true that not just the stallions startling appearnce had frightened her but the darkenss of the night did as well. She nodded. "yes, i would like that vary much...being alone in the dark frightens me...I am afried somone of unfriendly intentions may one day find me and hurt me while i walk late at night..." she said lightly.

Now, he became aware of the unease focused on himself. Tka-ih whuffed lightly, hooves fidgeting in the grass, and he bowed his head. "I assure you I am not one of those, Miss. Can you believe me?"

Glow blinked before flushing. "Oh i am so sorry...i know how rude...but...Its just..." she looked down, ashamed. "I...I belive you..." she said lightly. "It was just....you....you scared me a little...I've never seen anyone..." she looked up at him before flushing and looking back down. "like you..."

She looked at him lightly. "I've...really barely ever spoke to stallions..." she said lightly. It wasn't a lie after all. She really knew so few...it was a tad surpriseing.
