Einherjer was a Viking metal band from Haugesund, Norway, founded in 1993. Some of their albums are heavily folk influenced, while other albums feature a more traditional black metal sound. Their lyrics retell Norse legends, and each of their albums has its own theme. The band split up in early 2004 after releasing their final album Blot in December 2003.
I have heard a few song by them which i have enjoyed a great deal. Any rec's for a specific album, i have heard Blot is amazing and powerful.

Most of the songs I have are from Odin Owns Ye All and Dragons of the North, so you could say I like those two. I find it sad that they broke up, I don't really like the new band that hosts most, in not all, the members of Einherjer.

All good things must come to an end. Think of it this way, if they kept going, they wouldn't always put out such good music now would they? Finnish Strong.

I guess, I think my major disappointment was that I didn't like the other band that was formed.

I really wish they stayed together so that I can see them live XD

My favorite song from them is Crimson Rain from the album Norweigian Native Art.

I just heard a few random songs here and there from "Blot" a year ago. They were good, but the music got flushed off of my hard drive.
