Zuri stretched out her body, relaxing inside the warm cave. She slowly opened her eyes, releasing a slow yawn. The sun was rising with the sun's rays flooding the dark cave. Zuri groaned quietly, morning already, huh? Ugh. Couldn't she just get a bit longer of sleep?
The sun's rays grew brighter, shining into Zuri's half-opened eyelids.
"Alright, I'm up," she muttered softly, slightly irritated at the sun of all things. Zuri climbed onto one of the small rocks in the cave, stretching out her legs and back. She then prounced down, now about more alert and awake.
The back wall of the cave was still dark, the sun's rays still haven't invaded down there yet, probably where her brother was sleeping. Zuri grinned, thinking of slightly malicious idea in her head.
"Good morning!" she shouted, loud enough to wake up any nearby sleeping creature, with a mischevious smirk across her face.

Churo had been happily sleeping but the sound of movement had woken her up. She was sure Kwaruza had never been this noisy. She opened one eye to see her daughter jumping about and then the shout!
"You mind dear, some are trying to get some rest." She mumbled sitting up slowly and opening her eyes properly. She also noticed the annoying squeak that seemed to come from her son.
"Honestly you two, stay here." She moved out the cave where she stretched and looked around a little. It was bath time.
"Zuri, you first come here." She didn't bother sitting down though she also wasn't in the mood to fight her cubs to keep them still. No instead she would threaten them with starvation if they started to play up.
Nuku found it rather amusing that his sister had to have the bath first and quite happily trotted back to his corner to curl up, he could still catch a little sleep while his annoying sister had her bath.

"Me first?" groaned Zuri. She knew better than to really argue with her mother. "Ugh, alright ma."
Zuri walked over to her mother slowly, only testing her mother's patience slightly. Zuri's mother was very loving, but Zuri knew that there are times when it may not be best to fool around. She turned her head back to Nuku, who curled up in a ball in the back of the cave. She gave him a cold look and then directed her attention back to her mother.
"No fair, he gets more sleep," complained Zuri, standing close to her mother. "You know, tonight, I'm going to sleep in the back corner, and I'll make Nuku sleep out near the front of the cave. Then I'll be the one who gets more sleep."
Another idea popped into Zuri's head. Oh, more trouble to be caused. Zuri smirked again, proudly.
"After all, I am the favorite," said Zuri, purposefully loud to irritate Nuku.
"Isn't that right, ma?"

Churo chuckled at the little words coming from her cubs. Though her son obviously lazier went and laid back sleep "Zuri don't be so wicked." She smirked though, Zuri was her favourite there was no doubt about it. Her son looked alot like that wicked half sister of hers.
Nuku didn't care, he wasn't sleeping but he was resting and that was alot better then listening to his stupid sister try and make fun of him. "I don't care Zuri. You stupid." He mumbled the last two words and curled up into a tighter ball. He wanted sleep damn it!

"Aww, but its so much fun being cruel to Nuku," said Zuri with a playful smile. "And easy too."
Zuri rubbed up against one of her mother's legs lovingly. Zuri felt a rough part on her mothers leg. She knew what it was, it was one of her mother's mysterious scars.
"Ma, how did you get these scars?" asked Zuri, examing one of them curiously. Zuri had noticed them, but never really gave a thought to why they were there. Did she get attacked by something? Zuri hoped not, she didn't want to think of her mother in any danger.
Now Nuku on the other hand...a slight smile came across Zuri's face, that immediately went away when the thought turned drastic. As much as Zuri gets annoyed by Nuku's annoying and obnoxious behavior, she loves him. He's her family. Zuri wouldn't know what to do without him.

Churo looked at her daughter and shook her head. "You can find out a day that isn't today now come here." She picked the cub up and moved her so she could start giving her the bath that she was suppose to be having.
She licked at her fur slowly to try and make it last as long as possible, while she was cleaning she couldn't answer any annoying questions which worked perfectly for her.
However she had to finish at some point. "Nuku."
The young male moved from his corner annoyed but unlike his sister didn't ask any questions and waited for the horror to be over and done with.

"Fine," said Zuri as she was lifted up and the bath began. As her mother bathed her, Zuri groaned in annoyance, she hated getting bathed. Not necessarily the feeling, but when she was getting bathed, she couldn't really talk. Well, technically, she could still talk. But her mother wouldn't be able to talk back, and where's the fun in that? A one person conversation is never fun, its actually pretty strange. Zuri giggled softly as she let her mind wander off with the thought of her just talking to herself.
As soon as the bath was done, Zuri walked passed Nuku with her common annoying grin.
"Your turn," taunted Zuri to her brother. "Don't be gentle on him ma, he's probably really dirty."

Churo knew better then to treat one cub differently to the other. So she washed Nuku the same as she had Zuri. She then let Nuku go.
"Right you two, don't think you are resting today. We have hunting lessons." She smiled down at the cubs, Nuku didn't look exactly happy but then it was well known that males weren't the best hunters and Churo was going to make allowances for such, either way they were both going to learn.

Hunting lessons.
Zuri grinned at the mention. Ah, the idea of hunting was always so appealing to her. The ability to supply and provide for oneself is an important ability in survivng in the wild; it goes along with defending oneself.
"This should be fun," said Zuri happily, excited to start the lesson. Zuri circled around her mother, waiting for her to lead them to the place for the lesson.

Churo chuckled at her daughters enthusiasm over the lesson and then looked at her son. "Come on you both." She would lead them to a rabbits burrow that she knew was near by, she wasn't stupid enough to let her cubs get trampled by stampeding prey.
Nuku followed behind his mother in something of a dream world, he didn't care too much for hunting or much he would rather be in his own world where things seemed right and good and nothing went wrong. He ignored his sisters enthusiasm and just followed them dreaming of the day when he could leave them both and go to somewhere new.

"You okay Nuku?" asked Zuri somewhat quietly so her mother wouldn't hear. Zuri was so excited for the hunting lesson, yet Nuku seemed to show absolutely no enthusiasm at all. "C'mon, Nuku, it'll be fun learning to hunt. It would make you stronger. You don't always want your sister to be able to beat you up now, do you?"
Zuri snickered to herself as she walked, taunting her brother. Zuri wished her brother had some similar to interests to hers so they'd at least have something in common, but at times he seemed so different from her. She wouldn't want a brother who did everything that she did, but she just wished she had more in common with Nuku, although there were times that she did enjoy being around him.

Churo's ears flickered back but she let them talk without her interrupting, they needed to get on some of the time.
Nuku looked at his sister and shook his head, "I don't mind being beaten by you, I wouldn't want to be beaten by other girls though." He was maybe a little more truthful then most male cubs his age would be but then Zuri was his sister and he loved her dearly so if it made her happy winning he wouldn't mind loosing.
"After all, would you want to be beaten by your brother? Just wait till I am older and all big, then I will pin ya down!" He chuckled a little not really finding what she said as taunting but more as a normal conversation between two siblings.

"I can't wait till you are able to pin me down, then it will actually be fun. Right now, I just do it cause its easy," said Zuri with a playful wink. "And if any other girl beats you, I'll beat them. Well. I'll laugh first. But then I'll go beat them."
"If anything happens to you, you have my word that I will do whatever it takes to get the revenge," promised Zuri, making a youthful vow to her brother. Hopefully he wouldn't get into too much trouble that'd make her regret it. Then again, she could hardly picture him in danger if he seems so unwilling to even go on a hunting lesson with his mother!

He smiled at his sisters words feeling special all of a sudden, "I will grow big and strong to help you if you ever need it too!" He was being truthful, he wouldn't let any harm come to his sister. After all they were brother and sister and that had to mean something.
He then walked into his mothers back legs.
"Ouch!"
"Shhh" Churo smiled as she looked back at Nuku, he was an amusing boy. However they had reached their destination and the rabbits were all out and about as she had hoped.
"Now both of you follow me and keep close to the ground try and be as quiet as possible. We need to keep the side of them that the wind is blowing towards, then they won't catch our scent." She was whispering now and then moved very slowly which Nuku tried to mimic however his mothers strides were longer then is and falling over seemed to be something he was becomming increasingly good at.

Zuri followed after her mother, lowering her body close down to the ground and stretching out her legs to walk, copying the way her mother did it. Zuri was able to mimic her better than Nuku, who seemed to keep falling over, but she still found it difficult. She wasn't able to take as long of strides of course, but she tried to the best that she could. If she hadn't stretched out her body and limbs every morning, she probably would have difficulties too. Zuri kept as quiet as possible and tried to remain from laughing as her brother fell over. She knew rabbits had very good senses and they would run if they felt threatened.
Zuri wanted a hunt. Not a rabbit chase.
