Nyeupe had gone to find somewhere to rest on her own, she didn't like being away from Ra but after her confrontation with her father and seeing the prince and basically shouting at him she needed somewhere to cool down and calm down.
She had found somewhere that was slightly shaded near the water but not near enough to be noticed if someone went to drink. She just hoped that her white pelt wouldn't stick out too much. She wished to be close to Ra again but she wasn't to become clingy or dependant on him, that would show weakness which would be the last thing she would want to show out here.
She would rest for a while, calm down, find Ra and leave, all of which she hoped to do without walking into her brother. The two had never once got on and she doubted they ever would.

The air that grimaced around him seemed to lighten as the cubs came into this world. Yes, he had his doubts but overall he was pleased at the outcome. They were ridiculously cute, and though none took on the trait of a multi-colored mane or tail, he still felt he saw a strong "Tamu" gene floating around them. His duty was done, and as he wandered now, Azula with the cubs, he knew this heavy boulder on his shoulders would be lifted, and tossed away for good.
His worries were now dissipating; slowly but surely.
He was content with life, even if Azula more now then ever seemed annoyed with him daily--he was happy. He supposed it wouldn't take much more then a Mate, a family and a place to call home to keep his hopes above average. Even with his true family, Kijinga, Teleka, Ny...he was never really gleeful. More or less, he figured with that lot he would forever be pissed, moody, and very aggressive.
So he walked, on and on down sandy dunes and through small oasis' that refreshed him every single time he passed. Then, of course he managed to stumble on to an awkwardly covered little stream feature, with shrubbery and the like. It appeared empty enough, Tamu figured, his nose picking up a drifting scent but only acknowledging it with a toss of his thick tail.
'Ahh.' He groaned, and dipped his maw into the crystal, cooling water, oblivious for the time being of that lurking figure.

Ny looked up as she heard someone coming and then she lowered her head again. Why did he have to be here? She moaned a little and stayed where she was hopefully that good for nothing brother of hers would not notice her at least then she could get all the rest she wanted before returning to Ra.
She licked at her paw and kept herself to herself hoping that her stupid brother would just leave. She knew nothing of her being an aunt but at least she wouldn't need to know, the thought of being an aunt disgusted her somewhat as it meant someone liked her brother in that kind of way and that just seemed wrong in every way possible.

His ears pricked, though of no sudden reasoning other then the wafting scent of another. They were uncomfortably close, but as he looked around, nothing but the blur of gold stood in his view, or at least he thought.
His maw dribbled water from his drink, and his multicolored mane feathered about his face, giving him little visibility as is. The heat waves scattered across the desert, angrily beating against one another, so as he could make out the currents. Then, as his brownie eyes cascaded about the landmass, they fell upon a large, white patch in a green foliage. There was a marking on it, one too keenly noticeable for the male. His jaws slacked, a simple grin spread on his ebony charred lips.
'Ny...how good is it to see you, out of all times now.' His body lingered on bent haunches, before he collapsed on his rump beside the waters edge, watching the figure, and attempting to make it out. His head tossed, and so did the locks of fur that mounted his gallant head.
'What has my sister been up to? Any boyfriends?'
It was out of character of Tamu to act out the way he did now, but it was old customs, and he reverted to them for the time being. As a teen, and a toddler cub he was used to being a jokester, sly, and charming young man—but now he had eased into adulthood with a more mature outlook to, well pretty much everything. And now especially, with a bundle of cubs that he was to protect; it was time for him to grow up, and even he knew it.
Tamu'meka had always imagined what he would say to his sister, had they met up again, but this wasn’t quite it.

Her ears pricked at her name though she didn't move, she saw no reason to humour her brother. She had been given a clear enough message by her father that they were no longer family though she still believed he spoke words that he felt untrue.
However as she let the silence grow she knew she would have to say something so slowly she sat up, stretched a little and walked to the water to drink something. She wasn't going to talk with a dry mouth especially not out here.
"I have lived well and learnt more about our family then our parents will ever let on. I have learnt of the gods that walk this earth and I have learnt of what is coming in this pride. I have travelled with another, yes." She wasn't going to be specific about Ra. He was her own personal life and that was a place she didn't her brother going so she would keep it to herself.
"What have you been upto? You look rather smug." She tilted her head a little as she looked at him. He did seem different from when she had last seen him and that wasn't just because he was so much bigger and fatter. No he was different in some other way, she just wasn't sure what.

Tamu lightened the mood with a smile. She was off on her own, his sister and living life like an adult female should. She wandered with 'someone', and though she wasn't going into detail, he knew this someone had her interest in a knot.
He found her limited words soothing. He hadn't heard her so mildly kind in--well, never and this new feeling of contentment healed old wounds and old burdens that were left to ride his shoulders like a man on a mule. He breathed heavily, a happy sigh, and flicked his brown eyes to her face.
'I've been here and there, but primarily here; in this waste land. Boredom got the best of me for quite some time in my early teenage month(s), but I found a little happiness to keep me going. A mate, of sorts, who comforted me in the loneliness I felt. Mom and dad didn't bother looking for me after I left as a youthful pup, so I didn't feel like I had much reason to be around. She made that a little better--' he chuckled, thinking of Azula and the way he spoke of her.
She was not a soft girl, by no means. Yes, at times she had her kinder moments, but for the most part she was rather moody, distant, and very sarcastic. Granted he retaliated with as much gusto as he could muster, but it never amounted to her. He never really thought about it, but honestly his infatuation with Azula turned out to be just that. Lust. Adoration. He looked up to Azula, and he wouldn't admit it.
'I've also managed to produce kin.' He puffed with a little pride, but sagged back to his original stature, another gruff chuckle escaping his throat. 'They are beautiful, really.' He wouldn't say it, but Ny was an aunt--and he hoped she would be proud.
Looking off, taking in the sentimental value of the brief silences they shared between talks, Tamu'meka felt a swarm of emotion captivate him. Though he was tough, outside and in, he couldn't help but break down a bit. He was truly lonely in this world, it seemed, and not even Azula or those beautiful cubs seemed to fill that void; not like a sibling can anyways. His eyes drifted to the sands, and he stared blankly out, maw slacked slightly.
'Ny...' he paused, not sure how well he could phrase this, without her freaking out. 'Don't ever think the years we spent in rivalry with one another never took a toll on me. Just because I hate you, I still love you as a sister.' He smiled, trying not to look at her white pelt, trying not to look weak. His body stiffened, locks of hair flying slightly with a gentle breeze. All these years he felt that his love for her was just a hoax. Something he would forget as she was gone and out of sight, but now that she sat before him, in an adult state with an adult mind and surely readying herself to leave again; he wept inwardly.
'Haha, I love you like family.' Ironic.
Sheepishly, he changed topics. ‘But this other, you speak of—does this also make me an Uncle?’ Tamu reverted quickly. A gentle smile licking his ebony lips nicely.

Ny also felt the same feeling inside as her brother spoke. She was proud, ever so proud of him and she had never expected any female to even want to lay eyes on him but he was better looking now he was fully grown but actually saying that out loud seemed harder then she had imagined, so the comment stayed in her mind.
"Children?" He startled her to begin with but she grew to like the idea, she was an aunt. "Oh I am old..." She murmered. If she was an aunt and not even a mother herself. Maybe she should ask Ra.... no that would be such a silly thing to do.
The silence was needed by Ny as her mind was racing to work out whether or not she should have cubs. She loved Ra greatly but it seemed no matter what happened she couldn't bring herself to tell him. She was just too proud even though when she was with him she could be herself, oh she was just a silly over size kitten.
Now came the speach that caught Ny speechless and whether it damaged her pride or not she did something that she would have never done in a million years.
She stood up and walked over to her brother and rubbed against his chest. It seemed no matter what she had thought of her brother she loved him to, even if sometimes she may still want to kill him. Their parents had basically left them alone and they only really had each other.
"I love you too Tamu." She walked away from him and smiled but it was only a small smile. She did have some pride left in her.
The topic change was welcomed but then not so welcomed. "Do you really think I could cope with being so fat?" She laughed and then sighed. "He doesn't even know how I feel, or maybe he does." She chuckled again and looked up at the sky.
"Maybe life just throws us in odd directions, you have your mate and children, I have Ra and we are nothing more then friends though he captured my heart." She hadn't realised that she had mentioned his name but at that moment she didn't care. She felt a bond between her and her brother now that meant no matter what she said she could trust him with it. Isn't it odd how things turn out.

Tamu was relieved, and instantly felt a heavy weight lift off his shoulders; something he never knew he carried with him through the months, or days--however long it may have been. He sighed in her touch, and caressed her gently, and as she walked back and smiled, he returned her gesture with his own, one much bigger.
She was a new person, to Tamu, and an older, more mature female. Their childhood years were done with, and now it was time to become siblings, and to confide in one another as much as possible and to confess mutual affection as often as possible. They were growing older, and with age came the inevitable day when all would come to an abrupt end.
He chuckled at her words, mincing them as she did, he could feel she desperately wanted to share the same information of cubs as he did. His eyes followed hers, and he watched, content with her own kept pride.
'Weight would all be lost Ny. Plus, by that time you'll be lost in the thought of having kids--it's great, really great.' He didn't go through the pregnancy, but he sure knew what it felt like to watch Azula grow and fill with babies, till she was at the point where waddling was her main transport.
And then, when she finally admitted to this boy named Ra holding her heart fast, he breathed heavily. A brother was to always protect his sister, and act out against this talk, but they were a different type of sibling, together, and because of this he felt a bit fluttery about the topic.
'Ra? My--what does he look like Ny?' He smiled, not showing signs of sarcasm for; he didn't hold any. In truth, he was happy for his sister, because he believed she deserved a love, a happy life, and a bundle of good children.

Ny couldn't help but chuckle at her brother she was so happy to be with him for once and that on its own just seemed too odd to think about. She was a new person as was he and they had grown up so much. She couldn't help but wonder if she had stayed whether they would both still be fighting. She shook the thought from her head just grateful that they weren't still fighting now.
"Maybe I would loose the weight but there is still the pain of child birth and unless you have given birth to your cubs don't try and mention it or I might have to meet your mate so she can give you something that would cause about the same amount of pain!" She was joking with him, her voice was light and she laughed at the end of it.
She was confused for a moment when her brother spoke Ra's name but then she remembered saying it herself but at least her brother didn't know Ra.
"He is black, he has light red markings and a black and dark red mane." She paused to make sure she was talking truth and then sighed. "Oh he is lovely Tamu, he understands me perfectly. We went on an adventure together and then we ended up back here after I met Kwana. She threatened father and I worried but Ra was happy to bring me back. I could never leave him but I could never tell him my feelings either." She had started to ramble but caught herself and laid down. The talk of cubs and a family and a mate it was bringing up feelings in Ny she didn't even know existed.
She longed to have her own family as her brother did.

Tamu was, as well as Ny, beside himself with thoughts of love, happiness, babies. It wasn't odd for him, but he surely saw it in Ny's face that it was a new experience.
His throat let out a soft laugh, as Ny joked about Azula and the pain caused to him, if child labor was announced. He didn't know a thing about it, but he was sure it wasn't as bad as she made it seem.
'You know you still want them.' He nodded, wisely. Ny was a born mother; though he never saw it before.
And as his sister spoke of this male, the feelings of judgment prevailed him. Ra was a familiar name, and though he felt he recognized it from some far off time, he still did not dwell on any sensation of negativity. Instead, he buzzed with shock, and smiled.
'Ny! He does sound mighty handsome. I can understand how hard it could be to tell him your feelings--but you just have to give it time, and give yourself time. When it feels right, you'll let it all out, and I know he'll only return the favor.' He was too sure of himself, and inwardly worried his words may turn out false. If this turned true, things could once again become ugly between Tamu and Ny.
He reclined onto his belly as well as his sister did, and poked at the sands beneath his feet with simple curiosity.

She nodded sadly at his comment. She did want cubs and it was either obvious to see or he was just guessing, she hoped he was just guessing because she was sure that it would scare Ra off for good if he knew.
She smiled at what he said about Ra and hoped so much that it was true, that Ra felt the same way but she was terrified of loosing him, it was the only thing that had ever scared her this much, it just seemed unreal.
"Oh I hope you are right Tamu. He is amazing and he is pure firekin too." She smiled and rolled over onto her back and looked as if she was day dreaming or something. She was content laying like that for a while untill she realised it was incredibly uncomfortable and she rolled back over.
"What is your mate like Tamu?" She was curious about her as she was the mother of her brothers cubs.

Tamu smiled, reassuringly. Ny was more worried now then ever, it seemed, about starting her life as a family, as a mother. It seemed this Ra character wasn't an easy lion to talk to, but he was sure as strong as Ny was, she'd be able to handle whatever needed to be done.
His head tilted, a curious expression falling over his face. A pure firekin? Tamu was pure, Ny was pure, Kijinga was pure, what on earth did she mean.
'So; pure firekins breed too. Pure firekins love. We are all lions, Ny, and if Ra has been with you for this long, as I assume he must, then he will have some affection for you. He is not immortal, Ny, don't be so hard on yourself.'

Ny nodded realising her brother had misunderstood her, she didn't mind and just let him say what he wanted, after all if he wanted to play the role of caring big brother she wasn't about to stop him.
"I am sure you are right but telling someone straight out that you love them isn't the easiest thing in the world nor will it ever." Or at least that is what she believed and while she could she would avoid telling Ra about how she felt. Though they had told each other numerous times about how they were best friends this was something very different and she worried about it.

Tamu smirked, lifting off the sands finally. His head rolled about in each direction, mane settling over his head. He was proud of his sister, for finding everything that needed to be found, and knew that at some point--after this talk, she'd realize what she had to do, whether it be easy or not.
'Granted, I know.' he nodded, nosing her head. 'But if you love him, then by not telling him will only hurt what could be a great thing.' His body shifted, as if he was becoming impatient with himself. 'Ny...' He voiced, sounding off beat and throaty. Suddenly, it occurred to him--Azula wouldn't like being alone with the cubs for too long. Though he knew she could handle it all, he still had his own assumptions of his mate, and their kids.
'Ny, I really must--must go...' pausing, Tamu took a step back, then leaned forwards to lick his sister daintily on the forehead. A casual purr rolling from the bottom of his throat. 'I fear the time we've spent all this time bickering will never be made up in full, but we have made a great leap--I am so proud of both of us.' he smiled, reclining on his haunches, tail swinging gently. A wind picked up, brushed past them, and then died down. In the distance a flock of birds flew by, destined for the jungle. They hated this world, this world that both Tamu and Ny as well as all Firekin lived in--but now, Tamu felt adoration for it. He liked being here, seeing that his family was situated here; all of them.
'I love you Ny, and take good care of yourself.' He began to turn, heading out towards the dunes, out towards the cries that each flapping creature above made. 'Ny--don't be shy, and come find me whenever you want. I'll always have time for you.' His body, lean and strong, slung back to look at the white female one last time, before turning to run off.

She couldn't help it. She laughed.
"You really are becomming something of a father aren't you. I need a brother not another father!" She laughed a little and flicked her tail as her brother gave his leaving speech. Yep definatly father like. She couldn't stop laughing.
"I love you too Tamu, now don't forget to wash everyday especially behind your ears, and make sure your mane is well looked after.... and sharped your claws, hunt carefully." She couldn't say it in a serious voice, she tried but just ended up laughing.
"Bye brother. I shall see you around." She watched him leave with a smile on her maw. Oh how things had changed and already she missed him. Stupid brother! Yep all his fault, as always.
