Mynk hurried from the shop, scarcely waiting for Shining, her quickness motivated by fear for her child. Although eight pm was certainly not LATE, and if things got bad Lofn could almost certainly fly away, there was a queasiness in the general region of her stomach that logic did nothing to quell. She KNEW.
Lofn was in trouble. Big trouble.
She only prayed that she'd get there in time to avert any potential harm.

"Come on." Takuto snapped at Zooey. "Stop slacking off." She wasn't doing so, he just would feel better if she walked faster. He hit his flashlight as it flickered off and the beam of light quickly returned.
"We should have brought your brother. Atleast he can GLOW..."

"Ugh," Zooey said. "Some friend you are. Never even listened to see what she liked to do or where she liked to go."
Zooey sighed. Fussing at Takuto, no matter how fun it was, was not going to find Lofn. She took out the map that Milk had given her and poked at a random point.
"The Cat Cafe?" she read out. "Never heard of it. Wanna go?"

Takuto glared, not liking the way Zooey was criticizing him about how little he knew about Lofn.
"If I'd have known she'd RUN OFF I would have paid attention! She never told me anything about that stuff!"
He scowled for a moment as she looked at the map. "Sure... Come on."

"Ok," Zooey said, rolling up the map and sticking it... does she have pockets? Who knows.
And then she began their trek to find Lofn.

He grumbled under his breath just about the whole way there.

"That's why you don't know anything about her," Zooey said. "You just called her stupid. Maybe she left because you called her stupid one too many times."
Yeah, that was mean, but that was Zooey. Greedy for the relationships that everyone else but her seemed to have. So she was mean until SHE got one.

Shining cast a worried look at Milk as she buttoned up her coat. She linked arms with the fellow Oneroi parent and put on a happy face for the girl's benefit.
"Don't worry! We'll find her. She can't have gone far right?"
She surreptiously looked at the sky.
"Plus, she's a smart girl. To the library!"

"Shut up! I'm not THAT mean to her all the time! .... Am I? Do... Do you think?" He suddenly looked very vulnerable and he tuned from her, scratching his head. "She knows I don't mean it, right? I mean... AH!" He kicked some poor person's trash can over.

"Relax," Zooey said, rolling her eyes. "You're not half as mean as me. Don't start whining."
She wanted to be mean to Takuto, but the way he looked just now... she couldn't do it. And that made her angry.
She breathed out aggravatedly and followed Takuto.
