Elvenking is an Italian power/folk metal band that was formed in October 1997.They use enchanting melodies, heavy metal groove, catchy choruses and acoustic elements. I love the song Never Ending Nights. Any comments?

Far too cheesy for my liking, and im finding it increasingly difficult to listen to this band. I do have the album which Pagan Purity appears on which I cant think for the life of me which that is. Musically, I think they are damn good, vocally, I hate them.

Turbohammaren Far too cheesy for my liking, and im finding it increasingly difficult to listen to this band. I do have the album which Pagan Purity appears on which I cant think for the life of me which that is. Musically, I think they are damn good, vocally, I hate them. Yeah, i get that way with other bands, i love the music but i hate the vocalist and i try and blot of the vocalist but some people are just gifted at sucking and sucking loud so it ruins the cd for me.

I like one song from them...I forget which one it is, but yeah they sound alright but there's something about them that makes me not in love with them.

I know if you like power metal you gotta love or at least put up with some of the cheesy parts. Elevking can often times come across as....the bad cheese.

Gravechild6 I looked at their myspace not too long ago and I didn't like it. Yeah it all depends on my mood. The other day i was in such an elvenking mood. But today, no chance, too depressed for it.

At times I love them, at others I find them seriously annoying. I guess it's their vocalist. It sounds ... elven, I guess, but it also sounds not-very-metal. So. I dunno.
Pagan Purity is from their first album Heathenreel, to whoever mentioned that.

For me their vocalist leans more towards the power metal sound, and i can't stand most power metal vocalists.

well, yeah, its difficult for me to say if this is a folk metal band or power metal with folk influences...
i really like them anyway, especially wyrd and winterwake (the former better)... although they are supposed to be worst than the first ones.
I dunno, it just makes me happy confused

I liked Midnight Circus off Wyrd, but I've only heard their first two albums... I need to update my information.
As for my opinion of them, they're definately cheesy in parts, but that's just a part of power-y folk-y metal of that sort. At times they remind me of Manowar...

I don't know, I never listen to Lumsk because their vocalists need lessons on how to sing right.
