Thirsty. Water. Where did I see that pool again? The cub stumbled blindly threw the tall grass. It must have been the middle of the night, when she awoke from one of her bad dreams. Her throat rough and hot, her mouth feeling much like sand paper. She smacked her lips, trying to get some moisture from under her toung...nothing. She stopped abruptly, rising a paw to rub at her eyes, then squinted trying to focus them. It was humid tonight, and she felt hot and sticky. The cub wanted nothing more than to waddle her way into a pool, and have the cool water surround her. But at the moment she needed to find the watering hole. Taking a deep drag at the air Iola smelt the faint scent of water. "Great...I only got further..." She grumbled, her voice gruff and soar. It was going to be a long night.

In her own search for water, a white female was sniffing the hair and humming softly to herself. She walked in beat to the little tune, and soon found herself dancing as she blindly roamed the area. All of it was new to her. The night sky was even different. The females long tail flicked about behind her as the tuft of green at the end almost blended in with the pale green bits of grass around her.
"It's so late... Maybe I should find a place to rest..."

Iola finally began to pick up the pace when she began to recognize the land marks from earlier that day. Like that rock she napped on, so she could soak up the warmth. And the lone tree that stood proud in the middle of the savanna. Once Iola shook off her grogginess she began to welcome the cool quietness and darkness of the night. She felt so...calm now. Arching her neck back she stared in awe at the night sky, the stars shown brightly against the dark blanket of the sky. And the center piece, the moon shown down on her, casting a light far more mystical than any the sun could offer up. It was so round. "Pretty." She muttered, continuing to pad along, but at a slower stride. She failed to notice the soil underneath her was thickening and becoming more shiftier.

The rouge lioness took a dfeep breath of the night air and exhaled it happily. She soon came to a small watering hole. She looked down into her own reflection and wandered how much longer she would continue to wander like this. She wanted nothing more then to settle down, but no place around here seemed to be able to captivate her the way she expected a place she would call home, would.
The ripples of the water made the skin of the liquid look silky, but M'Dimu knew it was far from that. As she lowered her maw to drink, the moon light caught on a purple lion just with in view. M'Dimu shrugged a bit, figuring it was just another loner, and took a long drink from the water. She would try and find a safe place to rest tonight, and hopefully she could find some place soon. She had already been walking since last night, she did not want to stay awake much longer.

Iola began to realize she made it to the watering hole when her paw got stuck in its marshy surface, on the other side. The cub was having some difficulty moving now. She jerked on her front right paw, but it didn’t budge, her paw was sucked in! Her eyes were wide with terror, but she wasn’t to the brink of screaming uncontrollably. Iola, using her other paw began to tug on her first, only to lose balance, was about to fall, but in a reflex sent her other paw into the think mud so she wouldn’t land head first in it. And much to her demise this paw too, ending up being stuck. Iola was sent into a jerky spasm and began to hop up and down it the goop, never leaving the ground. Iola grumbled at looked onward to see the surface of the water only a mere, few feet away. She remembered how thirsty she was, her tongue was swollen and parched within her mouth, when she noticed something peculiar. The water....was moving? Iola searched around its surface and noticed a...ooo...its was so hard to tell from a distance. Lioness? Wait, lioness!? She was saved! Iola 'whooped' giddily and began waving her tail towards her frantically. "Here! Lioness! Over here, please!"

A small voice reached Dimu's ears which flew forward. Her eyes darted and she spotted the violet colored juvie. Dimu blinked a few times then waded through the water to the girl. What was she doing out here all by herself? Before she could ask, she noticed the little lion had her paws stuck in mud. Oh dear, Dimu had never encountered such a situaltion...
"Are you alright? Are you stuck?" They were questions that had obvious answers, but Dimu needed a second to formulate a plan of getting the small juvie out of the mud. It seemed extremely thick from water seeping through the dirt and keeping it just moist enough to be as harmful as sinking sand.

The cub heaved a sigh of relief, when the lioness began wadding her way threw the water towards her. Iola smiled happily, once the lioness was before. Opening her maw to thank her, the cub was cut off. It was several moments after the lioness inquired the predicament, that Iola nodded firmly, a sweat drop forming on the side of her head, comically. "I……can't get...'em....out...." She said between tugs. "This never happened to me before. I dunno what to do." The cub whined, her slender tail thrashing about in a frantic manner. “St-stay back! I don‘t know how far around this mud is! You might get stuck too!” She warned, not wanting her source of aid to become entrapped as well.

"Thanks for the warning... I'll test the ground before I get too close..." And so, with a gentle white paw, she gently applied minimal preasure to the soil,a nd stopped a few feet fro the cub as she felt the mud soften. Her tail weaved behind her, all her focus on trying to figure out how to get the little lioness out. She padded around to behind Iola and tested the ground around her, determining most of the area was safe for now.
"Let me know if I hurt you..." She said before she leaned downa nd took ahold of the scruff of Iola's neck and with her jaw, tried to pull the girl out. If Iola pushed with her back paws, they might be able to get her out. Dimu tried not to bite into the cubs neck, so she just held the scruff in ehr mouth and tried to pull as hard as she could with out trying to hurt her.

The little femme's eyes fallowed the adult's movements. Watching intently, as she danced around her. Pressing on the ground, and backing away at certain spots. Iola grimaced when the lioness jaw grabbed at her loose flesh and tugged on it firmly, giving Iola enough support to push back on her hind paws. "One..." She counted off. "two....three!" With that she pushed back with her paws forcefully enough for both front paws to pop out, the mud making a suction-cup type noise. She fell back against the lioness. And then proceeded to shower her in friendly kisses. "Thank You! Thank you! Thank you!" The cub purred.

"Oh be careful, the mud is still around in certain area's, come follow me and I will take you into the water to wash your paws off... and it was no problem... I take it you are alright then?" She said with a smile as the small girl showered her affection unto the rogue lioness. Dimu slwoly led Iola to the water before she stopped nad got out of the way so the girl could drink and wash off her paws. She smiled as she looked at the girl. Dimu only wandered where her mother was.
"So are you out here all alone?" She asked before she lowered her maw to the water and looked into the pink eyes that reflected back at her. Her flection was always so ghastley. Her white coat reflecting in the water, with the moon shining near by, and the sky being so dark...

"Oh...ok...and yeah I'm fine." The cub flexed her claws, and wiggled the toes of her paw to show no damage was done. Mud caked the young lioness's paws. And Iola, in a reflex, opened her mouth and was about to start licking away at the mud, when the lioness gave her the option of washing them with water instead. The cub rose a paw to place it carefully in the depths, slowly the coolness surrounded her paw, the water thickening and blurring with the mud. The cub batted at the water lightly to further clean herself. Continuing in her antics she only swerved an ear in the direction of the lioness as she asked the question. Iola stopped her splashing for a moment. Then after afew seconds of silence she returned to her splashing. "Yeah...mommies lost. Lookin' for her..." The cub noted, her eyes focused intently on the waters surface, watching the swirls of mud and clear water dance around each other before mixing completely. "You alone too?" Iola asked turning up towards the adult. A innocent, and curious twinkle to her eyes.

As the juv stated she was alone, Dimu frowned gently and felt a bit sad for the girl. Her mother lost? dimu doubted that, but would not voice her opinion, why should she upset the poor girl? Dimu smiled, trying to keep up an image of friendlyness and hope, atleast. As the young one asked if she was alone too, Dimu nodded, thoughtfully. "I've always been alone.. you see, I follow the stars... I'm actually looking for a place... do you know of the Ngorongoro Crator?" she asked with a raised brow. If this cub could point her int he direction, Dimu felt she could relax for a little while and attempt to go the correct direction. Her stars seeme to be fllowing her now adays, as they took her around in circles, maybe if she could get close enough to see it, she could finally meet the lions she searched night and day for.

The child turned back after the long pause the adult gave, looking wearily over her shoulder, Iola offered a soft smile. Around that time the adult began to speak, giving her response. "The...stars...?" Her voice held confusion, her eyes peering behind Dimu at the night sky, white spots dotting the black. "Soooo...you fallow the stars....to this place?" She asked a brow arched. The cub rose her eyes upward as she tried to recollect the name. In her deep thinking the cub began chewing on her lower lip. "Nope. Never hear of it." She stated bluntly after a moment. "But....I'm sure you'll find it! You seem smart enough!" She chirped shortly after. All the while Iola continually pawed at the water. Now standing in the lake she sent tiny ripples out. Oh how refreshing this water was...a thought came to the child. This lioness before her seemed alittle tense...maybe she'd feel better after playing around abit? Playing always made EVERYTHING better! A devilish smirk formed on her maw, as Iola stood in the lake. Even if it would be considered rude what she was about to do next...this stranger will be thankful for helping get relaxed. Tail swishing behind her the cub only smiled brightly, before parting her lips to speak. "You like baths Dimuuuuu?"

The lioness giggled at Iola softly as she seemed confused by Dimu's following the stars. How else could Dimu travel with out getting lost? Oh wait... one could suppose Dimu was lost, couldn't they? Dimu was about to sigh and go into deep though when the faint splashing the cub made, then the tone of voice startled her a bit. "Baths? Well... of course I like them... why?" She asked wityh a raised brow. Dimu was not completely in touch with her inner child, so she had no idea of the plans this younger lioness had for her. Well, regardless, Dimu was off her night hunting schedule, she would have to pick it back up tomarrow. [Even though she hated traveling in the light, and this area got very warm at high sun.]

"Well~" She teased, now bounding about in the water sending waves this-way-and-that. She circled around and around before charging in the direction of the lioness. "Cause you gonna get one right now!" She squealed as she jumped forward in attempt to soak the lioness or atleast make contact.
