Admittedly, this mare rather enjoyed the winter due to the peace and quiet she received from her troublesome teepee-mates but the season itself did pose problems. She hadn't wanted to confess, but she did find the muddy quality of the pathways to be rather irritating, especially when the mud itself rose high up above her knees and stained her coat until she was less than fiery - to make matters worse, it served to matt her hair as well!
Today was of no exception and as she drifted through the forests, lifting her knees higher to avoid rather deep pools, she pulled a face and flashed an unappreciative gaze towards it - just once she would rather enjoy discovering a location that wasn't covered in mud, if only for a long enough time to rub the dried content off her legs...it was a rather heavy substance when it became matted after all.

Moving up and down, Zalifur's curled up from was quite visible from a distance, his white coat standing out against the dark colored trees and grass. His tail flickered back and forth as the stallion slept. A small miniscule insect hopped onto his nose causing him to sneeze rather loudly.
Groaning, Zalifur opened up an eye and looked around. He felt oddly tired and didn't really feel like getting up at the moment. For now, he just observed the forest around him, waiting for himself to fall back into a deep slumber.

Sneeze!
Yei would have squeaked if she had she been less concerned about her appearance but now as the sound shot through the slumbering forest her ears pricked and she swung round with a start. She had been fairly certain that no one was nearby but that sneeze had indicated otherwise - and being as curious as she was...
Clucking her tongue, the mare turned away from the path she had chosen to travel down and proceeded towards the noise, her eyes widening somewhat as she approached the white stallion - at first she was fairly sure he was dead but on a closer look.
"Your mane is really long." She pointed out stupidly.
