 "There was a time when our lives were guided by the will of the heavens. When the gods walked along side their mortal brethren, showing us our path and our place. Placing about us the limits to bind both our will and ambition...all to maintain a delicate balance to ensure our existence. And for a time they succeeded in drawing us away from our petty quarrels, pleasing them so that we were granted their Aspects; abilities unique to a particular deity. But it was in being granted this great power that the people of this land grew disdainful of those unlike themselves. Bitter threads of ambition and prejustice soon wove themselves into our very society and the gods soon knew of their fatal mistake.
They abandoned us when they realized their folly and fled back to the heavens leaving our world to brew in chaos....
It was within the decade following the departure of the gods that war consumed the four kingdoms...A war that we now know simply as The Fall. For after this great conflict the four realms drew in upon themselves and retreated from the prying eyes the world.
No less that six centuries have passed and still isolationism rules many of the old regimes. But with the humans empowered by their technology and the Envoys of De`ris Ilen emerging into the view of the world once more...many wonder if war will choose descend upon this realm once again."

Races and Aspects--(Dietys Name in Bold) The Moriera of Tarion(The Wolf god)  Divine Aspects and other information- The ability to shape shift into the form of a wolf. This race is also granted the ability to practice the shadow arts , thus enhancing their stealth and precision in battle. There was a time when the people of De`ris Ilen cared not to interfere with the outside world. But now with their king lying on his deathbed and a young prince ruling in his father's stead the people of the wolf now seek to please their new ruler by carrying out his will of "assimilation". The twelve Envoys of De`ris Ilen who were once guardians of their kingdom are now nothing more than lowly butchers tied to the whim of their new lord; forced to destroy any that chance upon the prince's path to power. ************************ The Ildonia of Thea (The Hawk goddess)  Divine Aspects and other information- Much like the Moriera, the Ildonia are able to shift into the form of their deity. (That of a hawk) This race also holds close ties to nature that enable them to control their surroundings via ritual and prayer. After the Fall this race like many drew in upon itself to tend to the damage that the Fall had caused. It was centuries ago when the Ildonia fled to the northern forests, only recently have they been sighted outside of their secluded home. The Humans of Derasai (The god of Ingenuity and Creation)  Divine Aspects and other information- It is a well known fact that the human race has always relied heavily upon their intelligence and vast store of technology to get them through difficult times. But in the case of the last century this race has entered into a state of decay with their former governing bodies lying in shambles; with the very worst sort now in a place of power. Still their ability to manipulate and create technology that would deter even the most talented Morierian assassin could prove to be both their salvation and destruction. The Rudeva of Nyth (The goddess of the Underworld)  Divine Aspects and other information- Widely known simply as *summoners. The Rudeva are a varied people that posses the ability to summon spirits and creatures from other planes of existence, primarily that of the underworld. They are perhaps the most secluded civilization of all, as they live on the volcanic Isle of Elden, off the coast of lands claimed long ago by the humans. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Descendants: Just as their name implies, these are the beings who have inherted the abilities and traits of the Children of Zodiac.  1. The Avian of Suzaku- These beings are gifted with control over the element of flame. Just as their ancestor, they are giftd with the ability to ressuret the dead. Their holiness is their sanctuary in this now corrupted and abandoned world.  2. The Draken of Seiryu- This particular race of beings are natural born cryomancers and sorcerers. They also have the ability to manipulate celestial bodies to aid them in battle as well as take on the form of a dragon at will. It is said that they prefer darker areas and are strongest at night. The mountainous regoins of the world are their home.  3. The Tigera of Byakko- Forest dwellers and masters of the wind. These beings are born with the unique ablility to do battle. They have inherited the empathy of their ancestor and are quite passive. They choose to remain out of the conflict that now plagues the world.  4. The Arachnus of Genbu - With the ability to grow and shed an exoskeleton, these blood-thristy warriors only know one thing...battle. They are allies with the Prince, and have become his strongest weapon, rivalling the Moirera. WIth the gift of geomancy, they lay seige to their enemies under the penalty of their own destruction.

Basic Map*To serve as a reference for the time being- Items noted are the main cities of the world as well as boundry lines.  Mehtu- The land of the Human race. It is here in this desolate region that the human's make their home of metal and stone. They constantly use their vantage point to battle De`ris Ilen over the land bridge that connects their two kingdoms. De`ris Ilen- This is the wintry home of the people of the wolf. The only race to stand against their humans and their superior technology. Though the endless battles waged between them come at a great cost for all four of the remaining kingdoms. The Isle of Elden- This volcanic island serves as a home for the summoners of Nyth. A people bound tightly with ancient customs and traditions. Dreshire- This land serves as the forest home of the Ildonia people. Little is know about this region but war has begun to spill into the forests of the people of the hawk causing this once peaceful population to finally show themselves. Valistar- This mountain spotted land is the home of the Draken. Just off the coast Dreshire this rocky island lies, untouched and unexplored by even the humans of Mehtu. They only kingdom to create ties with the people of Valistar is that of De’ris Ilen, though indeed it is an uneasy peace that resides between them. Arya- Located off the coast of the wasteland known as the Desolation, all that separates this home of the Avian from the beasts of the desolation is the Inland Sea. Enemies- ------------- Denizens of the gods-
These mysterious creatures that were believed to be the messengers of the gods, let along a thing of myth...have begun to appear within the four kingdoms. Though their greater part of their population dwells withing the dark wasteland that is The Desolation. They are by far the most deadly of the creatures that walk this earth.

The Celestials (The gods and goddesses)Zodiac *Lord of the Celestials* The mightiest of the gods, Zodiac is depicted by many in the form of a great dragon. Though by far the most powerful of the gods Zodiac has never granted his Aspect to any of mortal blood as those of his kin have. But it is believed that when the error of his brothers and sisters comes to full bloom within the mortal realm that he will bless a chosen few with his own strength to bring the chaos to a final end. Tarion *The Keeper of the Heavens*  Though of a calm demeanor, Tarion is by far the greatest warrior of his kin. (save for Zodiac) Granted domain over the sun and moon and the ability to manipulate time to instill a deep foundation of order to the mortal world. Thea *The Guardian of the Elements*  This goddess is greatly known for unstable temperament that stirs up great tempests that rage across the mortal realm. She knows both kindness and anger, the very essence of the earth that she guards. Derasai *The Bringer of Wisdom*  In form, Derasai is never one thing or another. Teaching that absolutes are illusions of ignorance. Nyth *Gatekeeper of the Underworld*  Depicted in the terrifying form of a serpent, Nyth grants her followers a sense of both horror and awe. A constant reminder of the final judgment that awaits all that still draw breath. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Children of ZodiacThese are the children of Zodiac himself, born in the form of man and cast upon the earth to bring a sense of order and balance to the world that his brothers have created. They have their own unique abilities as well as their own purposes. Three of them have vanished, with the youngest surviving them all. Suzaku- The Phoenix: First Child of Zodiac Born of Flame and Light, Suzaku is gifted with the ability to destroy corrupted souls, as well as give life where there was once none. (Ressurection) He is the oldest of the four, as well as the wisest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Seiryu- The Dragon King: Second Child of Zodiac Seiryu is the exact opposite if his brother, Suzaku. His cold heart is matched only the tundra which gave him life. He is the one charged with deliverring the corrupted souls of mortals to the nether realm for judgement. He is both, merciless and cunning, more so than the other three. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Byakko- The Tiger's Fury: The Third Child of Zodiac Byakko is the very incarnation of fury and rage. He is known for laying waste to his opponents in a gruesome, and painful manner. As a result to his ferociuosness, he was cursed with the gift of empathy. His winds are capable of providing cures for the many diseases of the realms, as well as spawning new ones. He has grown more passive than his brothers, however, his ferociousness is even greater than that of Seiryu's. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~  Genbu- The Tortoise: Fourth Child of Zodiac Genbu is the youngest of the brothers, but he is also the most blood thirsty. His stamina and endurance provides him with astounding strength. Although his size may contradict it, he is quite nimble, and enjoys smashing his eneimes with a giant mace. Earning the title of Tyrant among his descendants, he rules with a hard touch and knows little compassion. The only orders he will obey are those of his father.

NPC Index-Virgil Kurzick  --The young prince that now rules in his father's stead. Now openly using the power of his father's kingdom of De`ris Ilen to conquer the scattered human empire. Virgil, though a great warrior uses the Envoys and nothing more than his petty servants. To do his bloody deeds in secret while the world remains blind to all that now transpires to be its undoing. --Elder Suel  --Leader of the Rudeva on the Isle of Elden. He has long since watched the battles that rage between the humans and the people of De`ris Ilen and hopes that perhaps peace can still be found between the two nations. But of late human raids have washed upon the beaches of his nation's secluded home, so he now sends a messenger to the Prince of De`ris Ilen to see of the people of the wolf will come to his people's aid. ******** NPC Envoys of De'ris Ilen *NPCs will slowly begin to fill the 12 positions of the Envoys as the RP progresses so if you wish to have one of your character's as an envoy let me know as soon as possible. --Arian Val'istar  --Born into the upper class of De'ris Ilen, Arian began his life as what many would deem as an aristocrat. Oddly enough he did not remain as such for long and turned aside a future of inheriting his family's fortune to join the military. His motives in making this drastic move are an enigma to many. But still he worked his way through the ranks until he was granted the chance at becoming an Envoy. Arian now serves as a gatherer of intelligence for his comrades; Often times working under a false profile within human lands to gain tactical information on the human military. --Dante Auvrea  --Before the battle between Mehtu and De'ris Ilen escalated into the conflict that it is today, the lands of De'ris Ilen reached down to the inner coastline of Dreshire. It was here that a clan of Moriera called the Auvrea dwelled. Though their form of livelihood would not be deemed by some as being as civilized as that of the greater cities of De'ris Ilen, the Auvrea were masters of survival and of weaponless combat. It is even rumored that they once lived within the Desolation, that fiery wasteland than is the origin of the Denizens. Sadly enough few of this clan have survived the war that soon invaded their lands. Dante himself remembers little of his family who have long since disappeared from all recollection, all that remains of his past are the teachings of his people which to this day are used to serve the nation that aided in the destruction of the Auvrea. Though this weapon is slowly being redsigned for mass production to be put into the military for it's raw power, the vorpael is the first of it's class and announces Osric's place on the battlefield with a terrifying whirr. Secondary Weapons: A matchlock pistol, casing three barrels that can be fired seperately or at once. Divine Aspect and abilities: N/A Alignment: Lawful-Evil Appearance:  Description: Climbing the ranks as a strategist and philosopher, Osric became a chancellor of Mehtu at 20-- affluent and extremely wealthy he donates largely to the advancement of science and the military. The youngest chancellor he's considered favorite and posterboy by much of the younger denizens in Mehtu. Ultimately under the exterior of a refined noble he is a warhungry sadist who, in silence, longs to launch a full-scale invasion on De'ris Ilen; his branch of military science designing craft that can fly to render the landbridge obsolete and surround De'ris Ilen.
Name: Rayner Driscol Age:21 Race:Human Gender: Male Weapons: Military Exo-Suit. Originally invented for exploration, the Military took over the project using it for military purposes. Hands/Forearms can be detached and alternate equipment can be reattached depending on the need. This version also carries a modified Life-support system to support Rayner's condition. Secondary Weapons: Exo-suit's alternate arm attachments: Chainsaw, Clamp, Chemical/Gas Launcher(Tearing Agents, Mustard gas, Asphyxiants), Exploration Drill. Divine Aspect and abilities:N/A Alignment: Neutral Appearance:  Description: Originally part of the Chemical Warfare Division of the Military, he volunteered as a test subject for the new Exo-suit models. During the test of the launcher a round of mustard gas stalled and backfired. The excessive exposure to the gas at such a close distance caused most of his flesh to be burned and blistered. Several part of his body have been mechanically modified. After his poor recovery, in a vengeful action against the military, believing they are the cause of his current condition he stole one of the exo-suit from the military and fled, but not without causing trouble first. He has modified the the suit to support his failing respitory system. Because of the air has become to rich for his lungs he is unable to be out of the suit for long periods of time.

A bitter wind blew through the open balcony of the fortress stationed at the pinnacle of Navinye, the capital city of De`ris Ilen, located only a few hundred leagues from the land bridge that connected this country to the human kingdom. Lord Kurzick had recently decided to move the capital from the safety of the distant northern city of Daleth to the dangers of the south. Sometimes he was no more than a petty fool in Issildia's eyes, but he believed that such a bold move would tempt the humans to do something foolish themselves. There was no question that they would...but still it would be at a great cost.
Issildia had ventured out into the cold of the winter air to think; away from the happenings of the court. Recently the prince would dispatch the envoys to go out into human lands to retrieve some sort of ambassador of the Rudeva people. A routine mission but still she suspected that they would simply be bringing the poor fool to his execution for daring to bother De`ris Ilen with the woes of the Rudeva. The Prince was not the giving sort, certainly he knew how the humans had begun to raid the Isle of Elden but it was not his concern. Indeed he had enough problems here, but they were most certainly of his own making.

Issildia remained lost in thought as time seemed to pass uneventfully. All the Envoys save a few had been stationed at the new capital as a safeguard against the Prince's gamble. It seems that we are always being left to clean up his mistakes...Issildia thought dully. Still being stationed near the borderlands had its advantages; it certainly would not remain dull for the likes of the Envoys for long. This became true a few moments later as a long mournful peal of a warning bell being sounded at the southern-most watchtower stationed along the wall rippled through the city.
No less than a few moments later a servant entered the threshold that opened to the balcony and took up a bowed position with his eyes lowered before speaking.
"A scouting party came upon a Denizen near the entrance to the land bridge..."
"What sort?" Issildia asked calmly.
"Of the Griffin, suspected to have been brought in from the Desolation by the humans and set loose on our soil. Your assistance along with the rest of your brethren has been requested by the Prince. That is all."
The servant then stood from his bow to look at the Envoy but the balcony was now vacant save for himself. The chill wind took a turn towards him at that particular moment, allowing him to catch the echo of a wolf's howl as it faded to the south. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A Denizen of the Griffin was one of the largest of the constructs that took twisted forms of the gods. The monolithic form of the beast was slow moving on the ground as its skin rippled with an orange light born of hellfire. Heavily muscled legs drove it forward through the dry tundra grass that marked the entrance of De`ris Ilen. No doubt the human forces would not be far behind their living tank as it completed the brief journey over the land bridge...

Long weezing breaths escaped Rayner as he rewired the left leg. The Pedals connection had been failing within the past weeks and finally it had died completely on him. He gazed intently on the wiring before him, his eyes red from being so dry and lidless. He lit up a small torch making several other modifications to the Pedals connection and the ankle joints. He let out an exhausted sigh, which ended into a long cough from the rich air. He closed the small hatch on the side of the leg and stood as he gazed around. He climbed back into the suit, starping himself inas he flipped several switches. The suit came to life with the its many mechanical sounds. He spun the dial on the scanner changeing frequencies until he finally heard the military's dispatcher. Rayner quirked a brow at the current situation at the landbridge. Unable to control it, He coughed deeply several times more. Flicking another series of switches, the mechanical noises became louder. The Hatch slowly came down, closing upon his upper torso as he strapped himself in at the legs and waist. Within the small controlpit a small orange light turned on which he spotted out of the corner of his lidless eyes. It flickered to green signalling the air had been thinned out to support him. Slowly he pressured his boots against the Pedals urging the mechanical beast forward. Alternating each foot against the pedal, he contemplated what he should do when he neared his destination.

Through the racing winds that fled across the flat plains which heralded the appearance of the land bridge, a white wolf moving low and fast shot across the landscape. Since snow did not blanket the area her form would not be as well hidden as in the more populated regions of De`ris Ilen but Issildia did not intend to remain in this form for long.
As the thundering footsteps that announced the nearing monolith that was the Denizen, the wolf toppled a rise that briefly overlooked the scene splayed out below her. At the present moment Issildia was the only Envoy that had answered the Prince's summons but that did not concern her at that moment. Over a hundred soldiers of De`ris Ilen that had already been present were attempting to take the beast down but were accomplishing nothing but losing more of their own as the denizen trampled them with little effort.
Off in the distance a metallic glint of light signaled that approach of the human forces behind the advance of their beast.
Without waiting to further analyze the situation the wolf suddenly bolted off towards the towering denizen, as it lumbered on towards the city, letting loose a horrific roar as it's many rows of teeth clamped down on the struggling form of one of the soldiers.
As Issildia neared right foreleg of the beast her form shifted in a ripple of shadow, back to that of a Moriera. In the same fluid motion her body faded out of it's corporeal form into that of shadow and quickly raced upwards until she reached the bony row of spikes that lined the denizen's ribcage.
Issildia reappeared in a crouch on the first of these spikes, drawing her blade as she stood. The terrible hulking beast now aware of her presence turned sharply to throw her off, driving its bony shoulder down in a shuddering movement letting loose another roar of frustration as the Envoy began using the spikes as a means of reaching it's back where Issildia most certainly do her worst, if she could reach her destination that is...

A metal platform on treads, the Tuskar sped down the lines of infantry carrying Osric Klauser and three commanding officers shouldering bulky scoped rifles-- comfortably seated at the back Osric toyed with one of the standard issue blot-action rifles, though he had not created it himself he had funded the project and therfore felt a strong connection as his gloved hands passed over the stock. A man to his left by the name of Vick began to steady his rifle, pointing it at something off in the distance. "An envoy has been spotted making movement to the denizen, requesting permission to pick her off." Osric cast his gaze to Vick lazily, wagging a finger at him, "Vick, if the Denizen needed to be protected we wouldn't have brought it-- I have full confidence in it's strength. Let the envoys wear themselves out: a limping wolf is easier to snare."
Popping open a side compartment Osric withdrew a pair of binoculars and surveyed the aformentioned scene, let the denizen test the guile and strength of an envoy he thought.
