I've heard theories and stuff about this, and I was wondering if anybody in the guild has ever done it? Also, is it possible to seal demons in humans? And if it is, what would happen? And how is it done?

And if it is, what would happen? And how is it done? I've only ever heard of legendary figures like King Solomon doing stuff like this, although a bloke on the gaian Paranormal Guild claims to have had a demon sealed within him.

Sealing one entity into another is often called posession. ^_^ If it is for the purpose of drawing off them for strength, and not letting them run rampant in someone elses skin, then it would be smarter and safer to seal it into another person... and never let it out... because it will be very pissed. For example, the 72 demon spirits of Solomon the King. They were angsty entities before hand (I believe all murderers and what not), so imagine how they felt after being trapped in, essentially, a jar at the bottom of a lake for a while.
Remember everyone, putting foreign substances in your own body is bad. Someone elses against their will is also bad.

I've never sealed a spirit inside of a living being at all xD but I've cast them out of living beings before.

Isn't possession when the demon chooses to go into the person?

Sealing demons often has reverse effects becuase demons are not like what many stories make them seem. A demon can wait almost as long as an angel can for what he wants.
And there is NO seal that is unbreakable.
I myself have fought, killed, trapped, imprisoned, and am somewhat of a demon.
The creator of the original being that is Zero and almost equaly my designer is Morning Star, or Satan if you must be so rude.

Zero...ok
What is with people and messing with demons? If the demon is bothering you, then of course you have the right to defend yourself. But don't go sealing happy on them either. Like I said in another guild, many demons have a purpose. They can have reasons to do what they supposed to do. Do you really want to piss off a powerful demon or god by messing with demons? Cause I can gurantee you, if some god comes down to open up a can of whoop a**, there isn't any ritual/spell/seal thats going to stop it.

Me, I blame Naruto for this fad. For some reason, everybody thinks it would be super-cool to have a demon sealed within their person. Because, of course, Naruto is *such* an accurate portrayal of demons, seals, martial arts, etc. rolleyes
Knock it off with the demons. They're bad enough trying to get them out of unwilling hosts and send them elsewhere. Don't go welcoming them in. You won't find out that was a bad idea (and just how bad an idea it was) until it's too late for you to take care of it on your own.

Don't worry, I'm not just interested in this because of Naruto. I've been interested in this a lot longer. ANd, I'm pretty sure that if somebody had a demon sealed in them, if that's possible, they probably wouldn't get all uber powerful when they were about to die. XP

It's weird though; Things like Solomon's Key contain invocations for demons and angels - why does no-one try summoning the angels for once? 'Cause they think they're sissies or something?

I have absolutely no idea. Since most people are good, I guess they like to see what evil ((Most of the time)) is like.

But not all demons are evil. And not all angels are good. Demons that oppose Set would be pretty honorable folk, and angels of Ahriman would not be very mild tempered, yeah?

iolitefire But not all demons are evil. And not all angels are good. Demons that oppose Set would be pretty honorable folk, and angels of Ahriman would not be very mild tempered, yeah? Well, generally speaking, angels are considered 'good' and demons 'evil' - I've no idea why, there're tonnes of theories to do with, y'know, angels being to do with higher spiritual matters and demons just satisfying wants and whatnot. Granted, some angels are presumably evil, but aside from knowledge & conversation of one's Holy Guardian Angel are everywhere, yet mentions of other angels really aren't. I've never read of someone summoning angels, like, at all. Must be some weird sorta badassness or something. ._.

If you look at other cultures, you find that demons are merely entities that oppose a god or principle. This is why demons are so different because cultures have different gods and values. But not all gods or principles are positive. Set, Ahriman, hell Zeus (with his libido) etc. So it would make sense that demons that oppose such gods are in fact "good".

Actually, technically, the term "demon" comes from the Roman term daimones, meaning "household gods". Means they're lesser gods, and probably have to do with keeping the hearth fire burning and the like. The term got used as a way of denoting evil beasties courtesy of the Catholics (I'm sorry on behalf of all of us), and has since gotten stretched to include pretty much any lesser entity that isn't an angel. At this point, I think it would be more productive to research exactly what type of entity you're thinking of, and use its more specific type name. Else you're likely to run across anything from lares and penates (the traditional household gods) to some nasty proponent of absolute evil, or anything in between.
I honestly think people are more attracted to the idea of summoning demons because they feel that summoning is an act of subjugation, and at least on some level they don't want to piss off or try to dominate the good guys because that would make the summoner a bad guy...In other words, it's subconscious honoring/worship.
