L'cian had bumped into Carella on his way down into the dining hall and had found himself deeply engrossed in a conversation about Firelizards. For those who knew this Wingleader such a thing was unheard of. He'd never had any love for those little things and the egg he had been gifted with had quickly been passed on.

Carella had been the lucky reciever and she had named the little brown Zence. He had been perched calmly on her shoulder with his tail and wings lost in her hair. Yet despite his good behaviour L'cian still found the little creature somewhat irritating.

It seemed that no amount of convincing from the Tanner girl could get him to pet the little brown and he had departed with a simple farewell.

Now he strode purposefully forwards towards the dining hall, his steps long and fast as he moved through the labyrinth that was Rias Weyr.

He had wanted to see Ephia today but it appeared she was busy, or so Ariath had said. The brilliant gold was still extremely close to Tallith despite the fact he had failed to catch her last flight. It seemed his great brown wanted to try again, however. His memory might not have been as good as L'cian's but he had never seemed to have forgotten his affection for the queen.

And neither had L'cian forgotten his affection for the Weyrwoman.

He swerved sideways to avoid crashing into an oncoming bustle of people and slipped through the crowd with ease, forcing himself down into the corridor that would eventually lead him to the dining hall. It was noon and the smell of food rose enticingly from the hall, luring him ever onwards. Then slowly he pushed his way down past another huddle of people and into the well-lit chamber.

His stomach growled and in his mind's eye he saw Tallith preparing to hunt at the Bowl.

Don't gorge yourself Tallie. L'cian mindspoke, his eyes unfocusing momentarily. Then slowly he headed towards the deisgnated table, hoping that he hadn't kept anyone waiting.

He hadn't been that late.

T'bell had made good on his promise to his Wingsecond and gathered both himself and K'rel some breakfast...or rather lunch. He blaanced both plates, a piar of mugs, and a blue firelizard without much trouble as he steered his way to the meeting place. His eyes caught the form of L'cian and he offered the brownrider a self-conscious smile and a nod as he set the plates down.

Hopefully K'rel wouldn't be terribly long. It looked as if they weren't as late as he had feared.

Flute careened in through the open doors with an excited trill. It was rare for her impressed to socialize at the proper meal times. The prospect of seeing so many other firelizards excited her, and she trilled a happy scale of notes to announce her presence. She dipped close to T'bells' head and brushed past his curls with a wingtip and greeting before circling up to a higher perch from which to inspect all that entered. She wanted a flock, like any proper queen. She must recruit. First there would be that blue and then the brown and bronze the big two-legger with the brown dragonlizard owned, then she would grow from there.

Only a few minutes later K'rel arrived as well, slightly out of breath from having run down from his weyr after changing and neatening up a bit. He paused in the open doorway to catch his breath, glancing once around the room and raising a brow, surprised to find that he was actually one of the first arrivals. 'Siv, tell the wingriders they'd best get down here quickly if they don't plan to be working with the weyrlings until the next Fall.'

Says the man who has only just arrived himself, the brown countered drowsily, but relayed the message among the riders, skipping over Liliath and mentioning to Tallith that he had called the riders in.

'I'm allowed to be late,' K'rel argued, grinning as he stepped into the room and towards the table where he had spotted T'bell. He slid into a seat beside the greenrider and reached for the bowl that was undoubtably his, sending T'bell a grin of thanks. "See? We weren't late. L'cian, join us while we wait?" he invited, lifting a hand to gesture the Wingleader over. "Apparently our wing's grown lazy."

N'tren rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he made his way down to the caverns. Stepping out, he saw mainly older riders and shied away from them. Bronze rider though he was, he was still just a teen and a weyrling...

Settling down with a cup of very sweetened klah, N'tren patiently waited for the meeting to begin.

Are you awake, Dattie? N'tren asked tentively.

There was a slight sleepy reply in the back of his mind which meant the bronze was still slumbering and would probably waken sometime during the meeting. Thinking about yesterday's fall, he wondered how Remia and Trith were doing...

He was normally a very laid-back person, not easily worked into temper, and possessing a good spot of humor. But when Natroth had contacted him, plantative and upset by some sort of threat he'd received...well, that'd been the last straw for J'riar. The lazy, lengthy blue-rider strode irritably down to the caverns, his hazel eyes hard and snapping. After soothing the mildly concerned blue, he'd been relieved to find that Natroth had drifted off to sleep--he didn't want the big lug to have cause for distress when he confronted the blasted idiot. J'riar was not appreciative of the threat, even if he was late for whatever it was. Natroth had worked hard and didn't need to be bullied so--the blue often took things far too seriously for his own good. The Fall had tired him as well, and even now, J'riar grimaced at the thought of a meeting instead of being able to take a nap.

Shoving dusky locks of brown out of his face, the weyrling slouched irritably into the room, recognizing N'tren, but quickly dismissing him. He was looking for the Wingsecond--there'd be time to mingle later. Ah, there. Striding closer, the bluerider gritted his teeth and made no attempt to keep himself calm.

"Was there really a reason behind upsetting my dragon?" His husky voice drawled, idly making a sweep over the room of lounging riders. J'riar longed to throw some sort of scathing remark in there--but unfortunately, his anger was already beginning to deflate. He wasn't the type to get angry, or stay that way very long, and eventually, the bluerider let out a tired sigh, hands propping themselves on his hips. "What's this all about?" He questioned, his eyes fixed on the Wingsecond and another that he didn't recognize.

T'bell frowned at the weyrlings' manner when he entered the room, and his harper instincts quickly told him to beware a scene. He ducked his head back to his breakfast and offered the blue flitt on his shoulder a scrap of meat. The boy hadn't flown in the fall the day before, and recognize him as a rider period, so he must have been a weyrling.

The bluerider spoke and confirmed his suspicions.

T'bell fought back the urge to say anything out of temper, as this young rider already had. With L'cian at the end of the table and K'rel beside him he would be overstepping his bounds if he should say anything disciplinary to the weyrling. He pitched his voice light, but firm as he adressed his cup of klah. "When I was a weyrling we didn't dare speak like that to our wingseconds." His harper training made him capable of the perfect mixture of pleasant nostalgia with the undertone of disappointed scolding, no matter if the bluerider was his senior in age he was still just a weyrling. "I always remembered how big their dragons were, and how easy it would be for them to fling me off the heights if I got too bold."

He glanced up through his bangs at the puffed-up weyrling. "Everyone from the Solar wing was called down today to review the fall. If you don't think thread is important enough to merit your attendance well then, I'm sure you can be excused." He glanced sideways at K'rel before ducking back to his breakfast, willing his cheeks to remain pale and not turn the red they were threatening.

Rinfala slunk into the dining hall, grabbing a cup of klah and taking a seat slightly away from her wingmates. She stared down at her klah, more or less ignoring the bitching of the weyrling, lost in thought. The loss of S'lan in between training was only a couple of short turns ago, a still-aching wound. She hadn't had a relationship outside of flights since then, only choosing a stand-in if the other rider also had one ready.

As far as relationships went, she didn't really care to get into one anymore. She knew too well the risks dragonriders took, and the risk that she or her partner would be lost to Fall or some other danger. There were times she thought differently, but the Threadfall had put her in a morose mood, as usual.

Which brought her mind back to the recent Threadfall, and the wingtip injury her beloved brown had suffered. It had been a minor wound, and they'd finished flying the Fall, but still...it was a scar that could and should have been avoided, to her mind.

Don't worry about it. I am well. I will be well. Zelith's voice was reassuring and firm in her mind, the voice of the only partner she could be truly certain of never separating from. He would follow her, and she him.

Rinfala sighed, flipping her jet braid over her shoulders. I know, love. I'm just thinking too much again...

J'mil staggered down into the dining hall, rubbing his eyes as he glanced about and noted the hostilities between his wingmates. Oh boy...some weyrling getting himself into trouble, when they were already on the brink of trouble. Granted, J'mil felt the same way about coming down here so quickly after a tough Threadfall, when he hadn't had enough time to properly rest, but he wasn't about to go voicing it to the others. It would take away from his macho reputation, and he had little enough of that already for being a greenrider.

I hope you aren't complaining about that, said Renelth, who sounded as tired as J'mil felt.

Of course not, doll, J'mil said quickly, before he settled in to hear the lecture he was certain was coming.

K'rel was still very much distracted by his meal, and glanced up only when the young bluerider spoke, raising a brow in surprise as the sheer audacity of the weyrling. Without gracing J'riar with a reply, he turned his head to acknowledge the greenrider's words, forcing himself to keep at straight face as he nodded his agreement to the truth in T'bell's words. He sent a quick smile to the greenrider before T'bell escaped back to his meal, then lifted his eyes back to the blue weyrling, lazily picking at his food with a fork.

"All of the wing, including the weyrlings, was notified following Threadfall yesterday that there would be a meeting today. Now. Siventh was kind enough to remind those who failed to arrive of the meeting, sending the same message to each dragon to alert his respective rider." K'rel paused, chuckling softly. "I doubt it was Siv's words that upset your Natroth. If he was upset, it was probably for you in anticipation of what a fool you would make of yourself for failing to remember to attend."

J'riar had actually been proud of himself for holding his tongue--he wasn't angry about having to come to a meeting, no, not at all. But from them to upset Natroth after he'd worked so hard...The girlish looking man by the Wingsecond's side earned a blink and a glance for a moment, and the bluerider wasn't sure how to respond to him. "Aye, I'm sure they could," J'riar started, unhappily unaware of the scolding undertone, "And I'd welcome them to do it--I just ask that they find me, and not upset Natroth in the process..." A confused look passed over his face for a moment, followed by a shake of his head. "That wasn't what I meant--of course Thread's important." J'riar found himself starting to flounder for responses now, his hands dropping uncertainly to his sides.

Ah. Great. The young man, despite his age, felt like a little kid when he was coolly ignored by K'rel, resisting the urge to shift positions. A fool, was he...? J'riar stood, silent for a moment, then eventually broke out in a sheepish sort of grin, rubbing at the back of his head. "...S'probably true." A glance was cast to all three of them, T'bell, K'rel, and the Wingleader himself. "..Ah, shards. I'm sorry." He just sounded tired now, and perhaps embarrassed. "I didn't mean to speak out of line." What else could he say? He'd probably misunderstood Natroth--both he and the blue were beyond tired, and J'riar had acted irrationally. He moved to back away, wishing he could just retreat back to his weyr. Well, at least he could roll with the punches.

Rinfala's mouth quirked slightly in a smile as her attention was drawn from her klah and she watched K'rel smoothly give the weyrling his comeuppance. She knew she'd still probably catch it for getting her dragon injured, but at least she wasn't making a wherry of herself over it. And it was a minor injury, if one that could have been avoided...if only she'd been more alert.

Her eyes flicked to J'mil as he staggered in, and she flashed the greenrider a brief welcoming smile.

L'cian scanned the faces, a stern and weary expression on his face. He had called his riders together for many reasons, perhaps to get to know them better, as well as to make sure they were okay. He worried for the safety of those that flew with him and with the rumour sflitting about from yesterday he had to be sure.

He cleared his throat and sat, "I'm going to begin, if anyone else makes an appearance afterwards then so be it, but I won't take more time from you than necessary." His eyes narrowed.

"Actually, there are a couple of people missing that I had hoped would attend, but I will get Tallith to relay a message to them." He turned his eyes upon his Wingseconds, "I want to congratulate you all for a good flight yesterday, there were no major casualties and few minor injuries. You have all done me extremely proud."

He tapped a finger against the table as if thinking, "however, there are a few of us who are taking unnesecary risks. I will not give names, but I also state that they are not amongst us now. Obviously they realised what they have done was wrong and have decided not to attend this meeting. I must stress that taking out anger and frustration whilst battling Thread is not a good way of flying, and that anyone who does so will be severly seen too. Is this understood? I would like to take this time to ask you all to keep an eye out for one another. We must work as a team, aid each other and give advice. Share our knowledge and we will become greater."

T'bell offered the bluerider a reassuring smile, showing no harm done. Fatigue was to be expected after the fall, he was feeling it as well despite the training he'd gone through. A fall could never be accuratly replicated in training, though they came as close as possible, The adrenaline rush was part of what left the riders so much more than physically tired.

Besides, with Liliath as a dragon crankiness was nothing new.

The greenrider turned to L'cian when he began to speak, then glanced back at J'riar. With a slight nod of his head and a friendly smile he indicated the weyrling should sit, effectively joining them.

The bluerider's apology was accepted with only a smile from K'rel as the Wingleader rose to speak. With a slight jab of his thumb and a nod towards L'cian, the brownrider gestured for J'riar to sit and pay attention. The weyrling was pardoned, yes, but that didn't mean he woul have nothing to show for his outburst. Perhaps K'rel would assign him some horrible mundane task after the meeting, if L'cian didn't beat him to it.

For now, however, whatever L'cian had to say was more important. As the Wingleader went on, K'rel let himself take stock of the riders who had shown up for the meeting--and inwardly noted that the bluerider who had caused his own Threadscore had yet to show. The brownrider rolled his eyes, turning his attention back to L'cian with a growing smile as the Wingleader went on to praise the wing for their performance and remind them against foolish manuvers, the usual post-Threadfall talk. It was good to hear said, anyway.
