I'll be honest, this episode wasn't so different from the episodes on Other Island Alcatraz, in that it focused so much on very few characters. But. Desmond is nowhere near as annoying as Jack, Kate, and Sawyer can get. I don't know why. But I could watch Desmond in every single episode from here on out, I think, and never get tired of him. And it's not just the nakedness. Although... More nakedness, please?
I really liked this episode. It's proof that they shouldn't box the show up like they have recently.
Also, didn't they ransack Sawyer's stash the last time he left, and he got pissed and so he stole all the guns? Hurley? When Charlie is going on and on about how Sawyer would totally want y'all to take his crap, this would be a good time to mention how Sawyer said EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE, AND WITH GUNS.
And! Claire swims everyday? Since WHEN? Did it start when she was kidnapped? It's not like they been there for MONTHS AND MONTHS. They've been there for, like, what, eight weeks? About two months. And she was pregnanat for at least HALF of that.

im guessing that charlie is not going to die. i say this because they told us he was going to die and when people die on lost its not usually told...i think desmond is thinking wrong and claire or her baby might die, but not charlie.

I'm trying to imagine what size balls the producers of Lost would have to have to kill the baby. I just don't think they have the sack. Which means they probably won't kill Claire, either.
I don't think Charlie will die, though. Probably, Desmond will take his place. Which sucks. And then Penny will show up, pretty much right after.
And... Um... Haven't three characters died in their flashback episodes? And Boone died at the same time the baby was born, which is so cliche.
So, yeah, they kind of telegraph it.

So, I spent most of that episode being confused as to what exactly was going on, then understood it at the end.
And I was seriously flipping out about Charlie. I love that guy! He's not allowed to die!
Okay, but in all honesty, I have a suspicion that this is going to be the last season, or at most the second last. The fact that they're answering the three biggest questions on next week's show just kind of shows me that they are trying to boil things down to an ending.

As you said before, they don't just tell the audience right out in the open that a character is going to die. And plus, Charlie is too amazing to die. If anybody should die it should be Claire. Well, probably not though because for one she has a baby and two they haven't really explained much about her before the crash. They've only had one flashback episode of Claire's past and the other one was when she was in the medical hatch....so....hmm.....

Oh yes. I very much enjoy Desmond.
So now I suppose he'll die.
I've found Charlie very obnoxious since he pseudo-kidnapped Sun.
Not saying I want him to die or anything.... But still.

Okay yeah, i don't think that Charlie will be killed off, and they definitely can't kill Claire off because of the baby and all. But if they do kill Charlie off then man, how much would that suck?
I do think they will kill Desmond off, while he is trying to save someone. That will also suck though because i love Desmond, he's such a good character and all, and in the end of season 2 when Penny finds out something from those 2 men up in the south pole[? sure looks like it], if she finds them and then there's no Desmond then yeah.
Eh, i hope they don't kill any of those 3 off. emo
That was a really good episode though, been wanting to see more those people rather than Jack, Kate and Sawyer all the time.

Dominique Monaghan is the reason I started to watch Lost. And I lOVE Charlie, come on FINNISH BASSIST! xd heart Man, I was nearly in tears finding out Charlie is going to die.
I think it'll be some number of episodes before he dies but still....

I heard they are going to make anywhere from 5 to 6 seasons. so lost is far from over.

I WAS SO MAD WHEN I HEARD CHARLIE WAS GOING TO DIE. DOM WAS THE REASON I GOT INTO THIS SHOW. IF HE DIES I'LL BE A WRECK I MAY HAVE TO HAVE MY OWN MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR HIM. crying CHARLIE WHY??????!!!!!!! OK IM DONE

i wonder if smokey can travel underwater. we know that joanna was at least a decent swimmer, she did go to australia to scuba dive. as for claire, we've never really seen her swim at all. but anyways, either those currents really are strong, or our friend smokey can swim.
