I was just wondering if the ‘laws of conservation of mass and energy applies in Magick and Psionic.
Personally I would think that they would, but then I know very little about it.
The law (just roughly for those that don’t know it):
Energy/matter and not be created or destroyed it can only be changed in to other states.

it does, some magick has come to be now know as Science >.< as qouted from Van Helsing from Bram Stokers Dracula "things that are considered magic or impossible will later become science"

There are many conservation laws, but just because some of the things in the guild don't have any standing in the scientific community dosen't mean that they defy all scientific laws. Take creating a psiball, for instance. You're not creating energy, you're transferring it. Or, in your words, "changing it to another state". All you're doing is taking energy from your body and/or an outside source, and condensing it. Even something like telekinesis can somewhat be explained, or at least it dosen't contradict most scientific laws. As for magick...I'm not all that familiar with it. But most things I've read/heard about aren't all that...scientifically impossible, law-wise. It's all really a matter of opinion and belief. If you believe in something, then scientific laws mean nothing.

It's said that there's a limitless reservoir of Universal energy used for things like Reiki, but I can't really say whether energy is being continually created or just going back to this reservoir once it's been "burnt" by other things.
I'd say it's probably just a large recycling process. None of it really defies the laws of physics. It only defies the what we currently know about the Universe.

In I know everything is made of two forms of energy that only react with each other. Not good and evil if your wondering.
So that law is true but mass can be converted into energy and energy can be converted into mass.
