This is a private RP between Charlamagne and Charlie. If you want to post, please ask or wait to be invited.

Reeshie Hack
*Glares at Reesh and sits down, brooding*

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
Charlamagne peeks in and sees a familiar audio. "Charlie!" Skips over to him.

Reeshie Hack
Chalie looked up from his brooding and his eyebrows shot up. It'd been a while since he'd seen his "student" and he couldn't really hide the fact that he was happy to see her.
"You seem spry today, Charlamagne. How have you been?" he asked, tilting his head slightly as he managed a small smile and motioned for her to sit.

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
Once she was at his side, she sat down, wrapping her tail around her and placing it on her lap. She then smiled warmly at him. "I'm good and yourself?" She asked before, giving him a small pout, "I've missed you... where have you been?" She asked, somewhat scoldingly.

Reeshie Hack
The black and blue male sat back and looked to the ceiling.
"Eh, not so good, that's why I haven't been around in such a long time. Sorry if you've been looking for me," he apologized, giving her a sidelong glance. He shrugged his shoulders and rested his paws on his knees.
"Been keeping to home. Reesh finally got fed up and dragged me away."

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
She tilted her head when he stated that he wasn't doing so well. She couldn't help but frown at that, not liking to hear about friends being upset... especially her first friend. "I'm sorry to hear that. What's been going on that's gotten you so down?" The spotted female asked, hoping she wasn't being too intrusive.

Reeshie Hack
Charlie shrugged again and closed his eyes, thinking. After a moment, he opened them again and turned his head to look at her.
"Things haven't been going so well between Tangel and me. I heard long-distance relationships were difficult, but..." he looked down at his paws here. "We haven't been in contact for so long. I love her, or I think I do. It's too damn confusing," he finished and put his head in his paws.

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
She frowned a bit more, scooting a bit closer to him. Softly, she placed a hand on his shoulder, rubbing it softly. "I'm sorry to hear that, truly I am. I really wish I could help you, but I'm afraid I have no experience what so ever in the subject. All I can do is wish that everything turns out alright in the end."

Reeshie Hack
One of Charlie's paws came up and rested on hers, thankful for her kind words.
"Yeah, I know..." he said and attempted a half smile at her.
"I'm just mopy. How have you been? Still playing that harp I gave you?" he asked, returning his paws to his lap.

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
Charl sighed softly, rubbing his shoulder a bit longer before bringing her hand to her lap as well. "I've been good, only having a small problem with a new family member, but nothing else besides that." She told him, the tip of her tail flicking over her lap. When he mentioned the harp, she smiled at him slightly. "Yeah, I'm still playing. I'm much better... though I still can't make my own songs yet."

Reeshie Hack
"I'm glad you've stuck with it, and I'm sure after a while you'll be able to write your own songs. Just give it some time," Charlie instructed and tilted his head as he looked at her.
"Problems with a new family member?" he repeated, raising an eyebrow. "Care to share?" he asked softly, not sure what kind of subject he was touching on.

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
"I hope so... though it's not really a big deal to me if I can't." She told him, tilting her head when he did so. When she asked about her problem, she frowned, ears drooping slightly. She didn't really want to talk about it, but she figured it would be better than keeping it bottled in. "Well... Nat had gotten some new audios some time ago, one of them being Mariku. Well, it seems that Mariku has an item that can take control of others... and well, I was his main 'puppet' and I was completly unaware of it."

Reeshie Hack
Charlie's eyes narrowed, but that was all he showed of the fury that had taken him when Charl had said she had been controled by another Audio. Charl was his only friend besides Shunsui and it angered him greatly to know that someone had taken advantage of her in such a way.
"What did Nat do about him?" he managed to get out in a calm manner, smothering his anger as best he could for the moment.

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
Charl just shrugged, shaking her head. "I'm not sure really. I've been avoiding him ever since finding out." Her hands slowly kneaded at her tail, almost as if it was like her own version of a nervous twitch. "Too be honest... and I know this will sound crazy... but I really don't care if he got punished or not. I mean, that's just how he is, nothing can change that."

Reeshie Hack
Charlie's features softened and he reched over, resting a paw on hers lightly.
"You shouldn't make excuses for him. Whether that's how he is or not, there's not excuse to control someone else against their will," he said and placed his paw back on his knee, looking off.
"You're one of only a few of audios I'd call friends, Charl. I don't like it when others hurt my friends."

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
She jumped slightly when she felt something touch her hand. When she saw that it was Charlie's hand, she looked up to him and gave him a weak smile. "Laharl would probably say the same thing. He's the one who informed me of what Mariku was doing and let me stay with him to avoid him." She explained, looking away as he did. "He never hurt me... at least, I don't think. I'm pretty sure he didn't, because I never 'came to' with any bruises or things like that."

Reeshie Hack
"Controling you against your will, in my mind, is hurting you," Charlie explained with a sigh and looked back to Charl.
"Laharl?" he asked. He'd never heard that name before. Of course, that wasn't a surprise. He hardly knew any of the Audios. Not that he was complaining.

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
She looked down to her feet, trying her best not to fiddle with her tail again. She knew he was right and she had to stop defending Mariku, but that was just how she was. She looked up to him when he asked about Laharl and blinked. "Um... he's a friend of mine. One of Moochi's audios..." With that, she explained what Laharl looked like.

Reeshie Hack
Charlie listened and nodded his head in understanding.
"Oh. Well, can't say I've ever met him..." he said, tapping his chin as he thought. He turned back to Charl and smiled lightly.
"You know you're always welcome with us if you ever need to get away. Reesh doesn't care, she'll be down her lab or off on business anyways. Shunsui's gotten better now that he's seeing someone, so you won't have to worry about him bothering you."

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
Charl looked up to him and smiled warmly at him. Her tail tip began to wag softly once again at his offer, nodding to him. "Thank you for the offer Charlie, but I think I'm fine. But I'll drop by and visit one day or another. You just need to give me directions."

Reeshie Hack
Charlie nodded and made a mental note to write down directions for her to the island.
"Have you been making a lot of friends lately? Shunsui and Reesh have told me that there are a lot more Audios now," he asked, his subject change random, but needed.

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
She shook her head really. "Not really. I've been avoiding the shop as of late because of the incident. The only new audios I've met were family members." She told him, reaching up and rubbing her drooping black ear idley. "I would ask the same for you, but you already gave me the answer to that."

Reeshie Hack
"Oh," was all Charlie managed to say and nodded his head, leaning back comfortably. It was nice to sit in the quiet again with a friend. He wondered how Kaleb was doing with his magic and such. He sighed.
"Charl... Can you help me? I'm... not quite sure what I should do, and you're really the only person I can talk to about this," he asked, though he didn't look at her when he posed his question.

[X]Natty-Chan[X]
Hearing the sigh, she looked to him once again. Curiously, she tilted her head. "I'm not sure on how well my answer will help, but I will try."

Reeshie Hack
"I... I'm thinking about letting Tangel go," Charlie sighed, closing his eyes as he leaned his head back.
"This can only be hurting the both of us... It might be better if I... let her go," he said slowly. He kept his eyes shut as he waited for her answer, focusing on the black backs of his eyelids.

Charlamagne couldn't help but blink at what he said. Why'd it have to be a relationship question? She was always bad at giving advice, especially when it came to this subject. She sighed softly, trying to possibly think of an answer, though so far, she had no luck.

After a minute or so, she finally replied to him. "I wish I could help you Charlie... I really do, but... I really don't know what to say. I mean, it's sad to hear that you and Tangel have grown distant." She paused, rethinking her words. "I don't know really. I guess the only thing I could say is, follow the feeling in your heart. I know it's sappy, but it's the best advice I can think of."

Charlie smiled and nodded his head slowly.
"I know it's sad, but true. And... Deep down I knew I'd just have to do what felt right in my heart..." he sighed and opened his eyes only slightly. he looked so very tired.

"Problem is, my heart's torn. I don't want to let her go, but I don't want either of us to hurt..." his voice trailed off there.

"Well... if you don't mind me being cliche again, there's something I've heard... please forgive me if I butcher it." She told him softly, taking the moment to remember how it went. When she remembered the jist of it, she stated. "If you love it, let it go... if it comes back then it was meant to be... if it doesn't, then you have learned to grow. The last part I'm not so certain of... but it's somewhere along those lines." Inwardly, she felt as if she was doing a horrible job of giving her first friend advice.

Charlie allowed a soft chuckle and nodded.
"I've heard that saying before. Not bad, but I'm not quite sure poetics apply completely in life. 'Tis better to love than lost, then never loved at all.' Perhaps," he replied and ran a paw over his face. He thought for a moment, smiled rather sadly and slowly nodded his head.
"That's how it will have to be. Maybe... someday we'll get back together, maybe not," he decided finally and looked to her.
"I'm terribly depressing today, huh?"

Charlamagne couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed for using that saying, but at least it got him to laugh... or chuckle. "Well... I'm sure they wouldn't have wrote it if it couldn't be applied to life somehow... it is a moral after all." Her green eyes glanced worriedly at him when he wiped his face, especially seeing the sad expression on his face. She sighed softly, slowly scooting closer to him. "I wouldn't blame you for being depressed. I would be the same way if I had someone and I had the hard choice of breaking it off because we've sort of grew distant."

"Ah, but I don't want my sorry mood to ruin yours," Charlie replied and reached around for his lyre.
"Here, you told me you've been practicing, right? Do you have your harp with you?" he asked, though his eyes were fixed on his instrument as he plucked lightly at the strings, listening as he tuned it.

"You're not ruining mine at all really." She told him, wondering what he was reaching for. Seeing him pull out his lyre, she then wondered if she still had hers around here, knowing the last time she had it, she was in the shop. "Yes, I have... but at the moment, I don't remember where I placed it. Though, knowing me, I'll find it when I have to leave." She stated with an awkward giggle, hoping he wouldn't be upset that she temporarily lost the instrument he let her borrow.

Charlie smiled as he tuned the strings, listening carefully to distinguish between their song and the tune of the ever-present music of his headphones.
"Are women always losing things or is it just the ones I know?" he asked, raising one eyebrow in jest. He'd been working on more ancient pieces of late. He figured that since most of them were made to be sung, he would. Of course, the melody for many had been lost over the passage of time, but that was no problem for the lyrical Audio. All he had to do was make a new one.

The small audio frowned and nudged him slightly. "That's not funny Charlie." She told him as she watched him, tail flicking lightly. She felt bad enough, she didn't need him making it feel worse... joke or not, she didn't find it funny.

The smile faded from Charlie's eyes and he looked down at the lyre.
"My apologies," he said and closed his eyes, his paw strumming a soft, sad chord.
"Over the years, pieces lose their melody, neglected, forgotten. It's... almost the duty of every musician to return it to it's former glory. Even if it is a new tune," he sighed and began playing slowly, softly.

"The eyes that drew from me such fervent praise... The arms and hands and feet and countenance, which make me a stranger in my own romance and set me apart from the well-trodden ways... The gleaming golden curly hair, the rays... Flashing from a smiling angel's glance, which moved the world in paradisal dance, are grains of dust, insensibility... And I live on, but in grief and self-contempt, left here without the light I loved so much, in a great tempest and with shrouds unkempt. No more love songs, then, I have done with such... My old skill now runs thin at each attempt. And tears are heard within the harp I touch," he sang, his eyes shut as he felt the music leave his finger and his throat. It was a sonnet one of the others at home had recited once. He had listened carefully and later asked for the words, so that he might be able to write music for it. To let another sing it. But he had written three parts, not two as he had said. The lyre, the feminine voice, and the masculine. He wanted no pity, but he was not bitter. Few poems and songs of lost love kept a tone of acceptance. He'd rather sing this one over any of the others he'd heard.

Charlamagne remained silent, not really knowing how to reply to what he said. She looked down because of it, but it wasn't for long, as she turned to watch his hands strum the instrument. She continued to be silent, reaching up to lower the volume of her headphones, although the tune still rang in her mind from hearing it for so long. She smiled as she listened to him sing, feet crossing over each other and swinging back and forth to the tempo as the notes seemed to dance through the air.

"I am sorry for my comment. I tend to forget myself sometimes and say things that can be offensive," Charlie apologized again, his eyes opening slightly, his gaze focused on the still humming strings. "Whether I want them to be or not."

He lowered the instrument to his lap and looked up at Charl, smiling slightly, though the action didn't seem to quite meet his eyes.
"Forgive a silly male for a poor jest?" he asked, tilting his head slightly.

Charlamagne looked up to him when he apologized, though the look on her face almost questioned why he was apologizing. She then smiled sincerely and shook her head. "It's okay Charlie. I shouldn't have taken so much offense to it." She replied softly, tail swaying softly.

Charlie shrugged and set the lyre down beside him.
"One can never really guess when someone will take offense. It's like taking a leap of faith, though not so dramatic, I would think," he replied and sat back with a soft chuckle, folding his arms behind his head.

She softly began to fiddle with the fur on her tail, "Well, no one's perfect. So someone is bound to say something that will upset someone else. It's nothing to be real sorry about." She told him, glanicing around for a moment or so.
