Alright, I'll admit - I don't really know how many of the people here aside from the Vice Captains can partake in this discussion... but as I know Kris is going to have to take it soon, and I am going to take it this summer... well, Rin won't take it for a good year; but still...
I don't know what differs from the written/physical examination in NYS and the rest of the world, but the written seems dead easy, I took the test (and Rin and Kris know I pay NO attention to the road when I am in the car) and I still got an average of 87 (there were multiple sections, I did an average - I did worst on the "lines on the side/middle of the road" part).
Anyway... who here has taken it, is taking it soon, or is going to take the driving part of the exam?

i heard some kids in ceramics today talking about it! i assume you and i (as kris is being taught by her mom, right?) will be going to the driving thing in Riverhead... some seniors were talkign about the course. they said they make you drive through the intersection by the Pizza Hut or wherever it is.... although i think that mightve just been those two guys tests, they happened to do a similar course. but i think they mentioned something about Patchogue too.... whatever, i wasnt really listening i was busy trying to take the inevitable slant out of my coil pot XD

yeah, I believe there is one in Riverhead - although most people don't go to the school for anything but the written and hiring a teacher; then they make the teacher come there...

*nods* yeah, you get the permit at 16 and the license... whenever you learn to drive. Ra knows why we have to wait so long for drinking though, as they let us vote, join the army, have sex, and smoke before then - but whatever. I think the idea is they want us out of college first - but... I dunno, most people AREN'T out of college by then

I'm fifteen, in Oregon, and I have my permit. I failed it with a 77% the first time, then got a 97% the second time. o-o;
I get my liscence at sixteen, actually. I'm going to driver's school in between.

In Washington you can get your permit at 15. I still have about a year until I can get mine. However, I do have a car. 1996 Hyundai Elantra Station Wagon. Runs good; $600. biggrin
