This will not contain any spoilers for the series. But if for some reason something looks like a spoiler, I'll mark it.

Well, here we go. My official work journal. Woohoo! So now everyone can experience the happenings and thought processes of Hawk's brain without me having to ramble at the beginning of every episode. Hurrah.
Anyhow, for those that have followed, the series has lately died. No, the idea isn't dead. I just don't have a will to write for some reason... it's strange. Does anyone else ever get into that mood? Where they keep coming up with ideas but just can't bring themselves to the word processor? Because it's really starting to tick me off...
So I eventually thought, "Well, Hawk, write something you DO feel like writing." And so I wrote something entitled I Don't Need Wings: A Letter. When it was finished, I stood back in admiration for a moment. Then I thought "Wait, Hawk... this is it!" And I went nuts.
Ever since, I've been madly planning episodes 15-17. I still don't have a will to write, but I feel it coming back soon.
But strangely... the I Don't Need Wings thing isn't really coming together. I mean, I already have the general plot for the Wingless series figured out and I don't really need this Rena Skyborn at all. I might just make it a fun little spin-off series, for whenever I get into situations like these that I don't want to write. We'll see what becomes of it. But for those that enjoyed it, this definately won't be the last time you see it.

You know what? Nevermind about the whole, "I'm not sure what to do with this spin-off series" thing. I had a long discussion with my brain (don't ask) and came up with the perfect use for the mini-series. I mean, the first episode, her name, the plot... it fits perfectly!
Rena Skyborn won't be entering the Wingless universe anytime soon, but she'll definately play a vital role later on. MUCH later on. I'll also give a quick explanation about her when she enters the main series, so the "I Don't Need Wings" series won't be required to understand what's going on.
In other thoughts, I've been thinking a lot about the underlying theme and message this series will attempt to portray. Well, it'll actually focus on various aspects of human nature and actions. But one in particular will be:
The affects of memories on the personality.
Something I have suddenly become curious in and has already been shown a little bit in the series. I hope to elaborate on this theme even more in the near future.
Episode 15 is near completion.
