Her tail swished behind her as she nibbled on a little bunch of flowers she'd discovered as the snow melted for the day. The tasted sweet and were fragrant so that must mean that winter was almost over. It would be getting warm soon and that meant that those little ones that were living with the two-legger would be able to explore further and get further out of her hair. Ahh the blessings of spring.
She nickered slightly to herself as she thought about the silly little foals. Whoever their parents were must be horribly lucky that they'd gotten away from them. At least they weren't as much trouble as that little boy of Remy's. He was just asking for trouble.
Shaking her head she leaned down and nipped another flower off the small bush. She shouldn't be thinking about the foals. They were just trouble and not her problem.

Spring... He could almost catch the scent of it teasing him as he wandered through the woods. The grass as it began to green reminded him of the mare he had been, suprisingly enough, courting. It was taking time, as all good things did, but it was worth it. So very worth it.
Every moment spent with Rogue he found himself learning something new about her... Appreciating the little things from the way she flicked her tail when she was flustered to the way her lovely little drawl seemed more pronounced when she relaxed to the point of nearly admitting things that he'd been waiting for her to say. He was a patient stallion, of course. He'd come this far, hadn't he?
He paused by a stream, dipping his head down so he could taste the water. It was still cool enough to come with a kick... But good. So good. Good enough that you just couldn't help taking another sip, even knowing that it would kick just as hard as the first.

Once she'd devoured the flowers she shook her head and trotted along the edge of the woods. Spring was the time of new beginnings and new things were certainly happening in her life. Or not so much new things as a new way to see things.
The dark stallion that had been trying to get her attention since she'd come here seemed to be on more mind more often than not. She was glad that he wasn't around all the time and crowding her but sometimes when he wasn't around she missed listening to his peculiar way of speaking.

He had been giving her time again... Not as much time as he'd given her before, of course, but enough time to think without his interferance. There were some conclusions that she had to draw on her own and it was all a matter of time.
His fail flickered against his flanks as he backed away from the stream, turning back into the forest. Maybe he'd make his way towards the lake to see if she was around... It was about time he stopped in on his spring green mare once more.

She took a deep breath as she headed past the trees. She knew Remy liked this area better than closer to the lake. It was closer to the plains and he could run better and she was pretty sure his family was around here somewhere. She'd have to meet them eventually or at least the rest of them since she'd already met one of the boys.
As she made her way closer to the water she noticed a familiar dark blue hide heading though the trees. So she'd been right and he had been around. "Ya know Remy ... if you're hoping to find something in particular you're going the wrong way."

"Somethin' in particulah, Chere?" He turned his head slowly, ember-like eyes catching sight of his belle. "Non, Remy ain't searchin' or somethin. Someone? Maybeh... But not somethin'."
He nickered softly, turning about so that he could trot closer to her. "How 'bout you, Chere? There somethin' you lookin' for?"

"I was looking for a certian swamprat. Seen him around?" She smiled as she stopped at the tree line. "I was hoping that he'd be bored and that i could borrow him for a while"

"I'm not sure." She rested her muzzle against his neck. "I don't think there's anything else out here that could be a substitute for him" If there was another Remy running around then the world was in trouble. It was bad enough that it seemed like the little foal was like him.

"So sure it's you i'm talking about?" The laughter in her voice proved she was joking. He had said he wasn't a swamp rat and they'd already agreed that he was.

She butted her head lightly against his. "There's no one else Remy and you know that." Maybe when she was little and dreamed of the stallion she always though she'd be with there was someone else but not anymore. The perfect ones didn't exist and wasn't it better to be with someone you know cared anyway?

The perfect ones did exist. The fact that this beautifully bright mare stood beside him was proof of it. "C'mon, Chere," he nuzzled her gently before turning towards the woods. "L'emme walk you home... We'll take the long way back through the forest."

"You sure you can handle walking me home?" She smiled as she followed after him. She knew Remy was strong so he could protect her if she needed it. "I mean what if the big bad wolves want to eat us and i have to save you? Ruin your pride and all." She nosed his shoulder as she giggled.
