Seeking Guide Meditation #1
The next time you meditate, start off by doing your breathing exercises or what ever method you use to relax all of your body. You can imagine light coming down or physically tighten and relax each muscle 3 times starting from your head going down to your toes.
Then imagine going into your heart area (chakra) look at your heart and imagine there being a door there. Open it and walk through into a little clearing of a wooded area. To one side a small clift with a bit of a waterfall coming over it and into a pool of water and behind the waterfall you can catch sight of a cave. In the middle of a clearing is a fairly large rock with a flat top that looks like it would make an excellent place to sit. Once you have had a bit of a chance to look at the scenery go sit on the rock. Quietly anounce you are here to meet those guides who would be best suited to assist you upon your life journey, and wait.
This is where patience may need to come it and don't judge or fear what you see and be prepared to expect the unexpected. But the idea is to let the guides come to you. Some might peak at you a few times or circle above your head or wander around the edge of the clearing. Don't try talking, reaching or rushing towards them. Just sit quietly and let them come to you and let them make the first contact. The only time you should get off the rock is if another door or stairs appear, or if you are being called to go to a different area. But let that come to you on it's own and don't force it.
It may not work the first time, but hopefully it will give you some insight as to what might be around you. And there is a reason I say don't judge or be fearful of what you see. Usually the form of a guide will take on a shape that is familiar to us, but also identify its purpose. Human costumes are easy enough, flora, fauna and scenery (for one of my friends the clift was what spoke to them) may require some research, and the same goes for colours, lights/darkness, shapes and forms.
Seeking Guide Meditation #2
For this second meditation you begin by creating a sacred space within your heart area (Chakra). An environment filled with a tranquil setting and items you find pleasant and comforting (you may use the space from the first meditation if you don't have the time or one already set up). Feel welcome to explore the sacred space familiarize yourself with the sights, sounds and scents.
When ready, imagine a stair case decending from the sky before you. Feel welcome to climb up, noting each step, and your feelings as you climb up. If you feel hesitant, or emotional, give yourself a moment to recognize those feelings and their cause, then offer them up for healing and continue to climb.
When you reach the top step you will be standing in front of a doorway, The doors are already open and before you is a Great Hall, with many of your Guides waiting in a line to meet you. Step into the room and go talk to your guides, get to know them recognize what they wish to teach and assist you with, and know that you may meet them again as often as you wish.
Seeking Guide Meditation #3
Close your eyes and take several deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Visualize a bright light above your head, like a sun. Now, as you breath in, visualize a beam of clear blue light entering the top of your head and moving down to the center of your body, about where your solar plexus is. Visualize that clear blue light spreading out from that point to fill your entire body. Let it fill you so full that your body can't contain any more and then let it spread out to surround you completely. You should find this to be very relaxing. Just keep it there for a while, you should find yourself to be very calm and peaceful.
Now, you are going to take a trip, a special trip through a magical space. Say something like "I call to my guides to be with me." Now visualize yourself getting up and going through the door. When you go through the door you will find yourself outside, but right ahead of you there will be a mountain. In the side of the mountain you will see the opening to a cave. Enter the cave. As you go deeper into the cave you will notice that the walls are glowing softly and you will realize that it really is not a cave, but rather a tunnel. Keep walking down the tunnel. Ahead of you, you will see daylight as you near the end of the tunnel. As you exit the tunnel, you will see that you are in a beautiful place, a magical place. There may be large majestic trees, a lake or a brook, and plenty of open space where grass and wild flowers grow. Or you may be on the beach of a tropical island with palm trees growing. Or you may be somewhere else that will be beautiful and peaceful. Sit down and lean against a tree. Now someone will approach you. It may be a single individual or a whole group. Just relax and let whoever it is come to you. This will be your guide. You may talk to whoever it is. They will also communicate with you, but it may not be in words, it may be in feelings and thoughts. Take some time to get to know them. You may want to devise a way for you to recognize them in the future. A certain touch or a particular question, whatever you feel comfortable with. When you go to leave and return to the here and now, come back via the same way that you went there.
