The East Wing is the territory of the vampires. Many of the cursed denizens of the castle believed in the first few days of their new unlives that they were without blood and therefore immune to the vampires' hunger. This is not quite so, as the vampires made it quickly clear that they also feast upon auras as well. While devouring one's aura does not kill the victim, it leaves that person drained of energy for some time and for all purposes incapacitated. The vampires attempt to keep their alliance with the other groups relatively steady, and as such do not normally consume any entire aura, taking little bites here and there from multiple sources to feed their cravings. Though, the werewolves have been tense towards the vampires from the beginning...after all, they are one of the few who still have blood running through their veins.
