Genshin Fusaki vs Gath

FIGHT!
PostPosted: Tue Feb 13, 2007 6:37 pm

Heroic in nature, but quiet in flamboyancy. It had been so long since he'd stepped into this ring. His senses had dulled and his skills hadn't been tapped into in so long, the hilt of his blade felt alien at his touch.

"Let's get this over with..." First to arrive, our hero had come wearing his usual coffin. Packed inside was a handful of goodies. "Let's see...

2 Mystery Bags

1 Rope

1 Pair of thick gauntlets

1 Pair of goggles

1 Wooden plank

1 Rock

And of course, my Diatsga.

Yeah, that's all I'll need."

The flowing river of silver hair had been cut down to a fraction of the orginal piece, a tribute to what it once was. A savage man no more, his tattered rags had been replaced with a pair of denim and a cotton muscle shirt. He wasn't the type to adorn himself in steel armor and iron helm. He had lost his will to really fight here, lost it to the power of society.

Or was love the culprit? The span of time from the last fight to this one had been so great, he had found a girl in the process. He had no reason to fight, but every single one in the world to live. He would use his desperation to propel himself to new levels of survival. What did this mean? It spelt it out that this fight was redundant from the get-go.

The winner would likely be Genshin, no matter what our hero tried. He had no wish to battle his heart out here, he had nothing to prove. The girl he met did not know him as Gath the Fighter, but as Captain Toastbusters the Poet-Lauriet. No matter how this battle went, it would never serve to impress, nor depress.

He was battling to snuff the final piece of his former candle, his former life. He was battling to escape the world he used to know.

Fusaki would walk away the winner, but our Hero wasn't about to give him that title. He would make him snatch away that pebble, grasshoppers.

Our hero was not about to hand it all over, he would make this battle last a million centuries, at least. He would keep striking 'til his sword grew more tired than he himself, he would keep swinging 'til his body ached louder than his mind. Attack after attack, pounce after pounce, he would accept each blow and turn it around.

He had to serve as the push between victor and loser. Fusaki would need to prove himself before he could truly be the last man standing.

ATTENTION!

This fight is hereby dissolved due an error in the brackets in which Cryovix was incorrectly DQed prior to the match against Ryu Versher 777's Genshin Fusaki.

Cryovix grinned at finaly aloud to be returning to the ring. Cryo stopped near the door that was his entrance to the arena and looked around. He wondered where Genshin was. After being out for so long Cryo was anxious to get started. After all someone who has made it this far must have some interesting tricks up they're sleeves.

"You know, Judges... let's make things more interesting. I'll take on both Gath and Cryovix... at the same time."

He grins as he looks up to the crowd, the shadows vividly flaring from his body like tentacles yet weren't there as a show, but almost appeared to be a part of his body.

"Or, if you want to be fair you can make it a free for all last man standing..." His eyes flicker to an obsidian nature, then his head looks over to Cryovix, "Because... I know that he needs all the help he can get."

Our hero was no man of boastful nature. He had never claimed to hold enough strong to topple two giants at once. Hardly the type to weave such tall tales, really. However, the thought of a free-for-all, a battle of strategy-less technique and berserker antics for some. For others, it stands as the ultimate test of technique and execution. Our silvery-haired hero was a creature of the latter, in no essence at all of the former.

"Sure, it's only a game, right?" Emerging from the gaping opening, summoned at the beck and call of the respected referee. It wasn't hard to tell whose ego ranked among the biggest in the crowd, not by a long shot. However, our heroes eyes had seen enough to know that where there's smoke, there's either fire, or a big windbag. Squinting hard as hell, he still couldn't find a windbag.

Unsheathing the blade, PAIN, he slams the blade as it impales the ground. The hilt just stands in front of his abdomen while both hands rest on top of the hilt as he nods towards Gath.

"It seems he agrees." He grins looking over towards Cryovix, "How about you?"

Cryo listened to the boastful one lay his challenge and he started laughing. A free-for-all?! A chance Cryo had never forseen had come his way. Oh yes! The might of three! One the strong silent type, reserved and calculating. The other a loudmouth who must have some trick if he made it this far. That being the case he must have something to back it up. Oh yes Cryo laughed. He laughed with all the hysteria that was held within one who battles for the pure bliss of fighting. The worse the odds the better the fight!!!

"You wish a free-for-all?! Then make this battle interesting! Nothing less than awesome might and pure battle genius is worth the effort! Make it fun Genshin. Oh yes make it fun!"

Cryo continued to chuckle. Two. The number couldn't be ignored. Cryo looked from Gath to Genshin. Two totally different fighters with different styles and Cryo had the opportunity to fight both at once. What a wonderful day.

((If we're gonna' do this, we better iron out the details. When I say that, I'm really just hinting at turns and whatnot.

I assume that the best way to do it, is to carry on with usual GTB rules, plus one. For example:

Guy 1 > Guy 2 > Guy 3 > Guy 1 > Guy 2 > Guy 3
After the first combatant posts, the second warrior responds and retaliates immediately after. The third fighter then responds to both actions of the first and second entrant, and then retaliates. The first fighter then continues the action with a response to the second and third attacker, and then retaliates.

Follow? This means that after Guy #1 posts, the 3rd Guy cannot respond until the second has.
Otherwise, there's a massive advantage presented to the combatant who's most active on Gaia, and the least active warrior will just get wailed on. That'll suck, and make for a really unfun fight.
That's why a defined order is so damned important.))

OOC
Established posting order will follow.

Ryu Versher 777
Toastbusters
Cryovix

As mentioned to me by Cryovix he will likely be unable to post and, along with being the last IC, he will be last. Please proceed with all due haste.

Breaking the posting order will be grounds for judge action against the offending combatant. This will range anywhere from a free Closed (basically a free hit) post by one or both of the opponents up to a full DQ to something so simple as the post being deleted/nixxed.

"Good..." His voice became deeper than it was before, more daemonic in nature as well, but his grin never departed from his statue.

The shadows begin flaring from his body, covering the entire stadium while he stands there. Still in the same position, but just merely observing both of his combatants. Maybe they'll make this match more exciting... maybe not.

But it's time to see what they're made of.

Cold and steely, no wavering voice, no shaking fists. His last battle had led to the destruction of the entire arena, and put massive strain on his body. Damn near died in the process, too. Hardly an experience any man should have to go through more than once in his mortal life.

The fear didn't spring from what he knew, though. It was from what he didn't, and what he foretold would. If his last fight, two combatants sparring for their life, amidst a sea of lava, sand and glass. All that had happened with just two in the ring. Imagine the destruction that a third party would bring...

The essence of the Free-For-All is one of shadow and light. It offered as many gifts as it did traps. Our hero could simply allow his opponents to slay eachother, there would be no primary targets, no direct opposition. However, that also meant he could become the very bullseye of both swords.

There were other figures to count on too... His last fight came so down to the wire, so close to the end did he almost expire. It took him so much energy to down his single opponent. His body was entirely spent when the bell rang on that one. Just one fighter he could bring down... But in this fight, he would be expected to crush two battalions.

The cocky one, he had suggested this sling of rules. His first thought... To take both on at once. No fool has ever made a claim like that, he's a man capable of taking us both on. And damnit, he seems keen on it. He probably wanted this to happen for notoriety's sake... Best bets says he's gonna try to elbow them both together, most likely coerce into ganging up. It'd be good to stay impartial.

The other one was a might harder to read, but was hardly a rubik's cube of anonymity. His grandiose nature evoked a sense of large finishes and big moves. The type to go for a historic battle. They say every fight's a story, but there are far too many who believe that all go down like so. Such men have built up illusions of the perfect climax, a rising battle. Watch out for him in the end, 'cause he's got nothing up his sleeve, nah, whatever he's saving oughta be way up there.

"...Just say when."

Cryo looked from one to the other ecstatic. Which to attack first? What was going to happen? So many questions and so few answers. Cryo flexed and stretched his muscles to make sure they were in proper working order and then mentally checked off his weapons list. When he was finally satisfied he was ready he smiled and looked straight ahead. "When!"

And so, it begins, another round, and another time for Genshin to unveil the mysteries of his soul... if he has one, that is.

Apparently, both other combatants didn't want to start out the battle when Genshin told them to create a free for all. Maybe they were smarter than he thought, but possibly, they could be more intelligent to go after the one guy who had made the challenge. They could have been careful, but they could be more selfish. Which, in this case, isn't smart. Genshin's shadows continued their movements around the arena, flooding darkness to surround all opponents and including himself. If his opponents knew him, then they'd know that without movements, they could be trapped in a matter of seconds.

And since they didn't move from their positions from the previous post, then they'd realize shadows wrapping around the lower limbs of their bodies, but not to hurt them in any way, shape, or form but to keep them in check. The shadows aren't tangible at this point, but merely a sign of what could be the end of both competitors.

Genshin knew that his opponents were smart, they'd get into the air, if they want to stay alive.
