I'm just curious, how seriously do you guys take the chapter covers, and the sidetext that's put on them?
If you pay no attention to the covers, then ignore this.
If they mean something to you, then I guess you'll like this.
Chapter 208 Cover
Inked: Here
Colored: Here
Sidetext: "When I look up to the sky between the narrow roofs, it reminds me of you, the one who is far, far away."
Chapter 265 Cover

Colored: Here
Sidetext: "The power to break open a path and see beyond. The power to find you." or "A power to make things visible, to clear a path. A power to find you."
Chapter 269 Cover

Sidetext: "We are under the same sky, so then, for that day, silently and strongly.." or "So long as we live under the same sky, silently and strongly, for that day, I wait."
Chapter 363 Cover

Sidetext: "Neglected comrades, a cast-away love, a village extinguished. All that's left is a name, and a memory." or "He threw away his friend.. He threw away his love.. He threw away his village.. What remains, are only that name.. and those feelings."
It should be obvious who each of these quotes are referring to.

Well, I think the manga covers has a lot meaning to it.
I remember this one when Sakura was sitting behind a tree looking into a mirror brushing her hair. That was somewhere in the forest of death... I think when Sasuke gets bitten by orichimaru. Anyways that showed me her hair was really precious to her. Seeing that Sasuke and Naruto in the backround was keeping a watch out and she was fixing her hair. That the only manga cover i can remember at the moment.
So... i certainly think chapter 208, 265, 269 is a clue of some sort.
Is it just me but almost all of the manga cover that mainly is focusing on her has something referring to sasuke?

There about Sasuke!
So this means something.... humm, I wonder
But this means there's something going on between these two.
And whoever keeps saying stuff like " Sakura doesn't care for Sasuke anymore ". Well obviously those titles prouves that she misses & still cares about him.
She just wants to bring him back home...
I wonder what's gonna happen between these two as the manga goes on...... SasuSaku forever heart

It would take a fool for someone to guess this one wrong. To tell the truth, I've always been curious about the covers. Everytime I would read them I'd try to examine it and analyze to see what it foreshadows. ;3 Kishimoto-san is so deep.

They're reffering to Sasuke. :3
I've also been curious about what the side texts meant, buuut I'm too stupid and dense sometimes.

If those covers really refer to Sakura reaching out to Sasuke, then we know what Kishi-sensei is trying to imply. no NaruSaku for j00! Even NaruHina has a manga cover implying it.
I especially like the last one - I had the same idea and put it in a fic, only mine says "as long as we're under the same moon." Whoohoo, talk about coincidence (seeing as I made that chapter of the fic way before 269 came out).
I personally think that manga covers is Kishi's device in foreshadowing. Like there was an AsuKure banner once, and some chapters later AsuKure is made official. Then there was that one kawaiikanji3-san mentioned, with Sakura combing her hair, and a couple of chapters later, Sakura cuts her hair.
Does that tell you ANYTHING???
Anyway... they're banner material, I should say.

OMG! Of course they mean something. How some people judge the book by its cover. The covers have to be important...Another thing that makes my day :3 And yup, I think it's very obvious who the mysterious person is.
BTW, about this quote, "So long as we live under the same sky, silently and strongly, for that day, I wait." It is another quote for that chapter or you just paraphrase it? XD

I agree-- chapter covers DO have a reason and the things written on them ARE important. Kishimoto does not do anything for no reason, and he's a king of foreshadowing.

Yep. Definately referring to Sasuke.
Especially since it's Sakura. And Sasuke's been missing from the Villiage for a long time, and the only thing she's ben focused on is Sasuke. So yeah, it's pretty obvious.

I love the sidetext in the chapter covers..
They're pretty deep and the ones with Sakura on the cover and are related to Sasuke just shows how much she thinks about him.
I like how Masashi Kishimoto considered that.

I gotta say that 363's chapter cover did make me snicker.

I particularly like the second one~

NOT Naruto's friendship. NOT Sakura's love. HIS.
Kukuku, Kishimoto, you certainly know how to get a fangirl squealing >:3
I do think that the covers mean something to the story. If they didn't then why bother to add them? You could have a perfectly good cover without text, but yet they're still there. These messages, these glimpses on the characters' feelings... it would be foolish to assume they don't mean anything. They make a lot of sense. They're there for a reason 3nodding

Either way, it's stil good.
I think Kishimoto means a lot by things he says in his chapter covers-- he NEVER says something that's not important, especially when the word love is mentioned.
blaugh Maybe we'll be getting some Team 7 action soon XD And in turn, SasuSaku <3
