I think that there is another ancient dragon. You know how Oromis and Glaedr were in hiding? Well mabey there is another rider and dragon hiding in the Spine! I recently thought of this just this morning, as I have started to re-read Eragon. At the begining, Chapter 2: Palancar Valley, it says: Chapter 2: Palancar Valley The Spine was one of the only places that King Galbatorix could not call his own. Stories were told about how half his army disappeared after marching into its ancient forest. Now, what the hell would be strong enough to fell a whole half army? And to scare Galbatorix out of his brain? I'll save your brain some strain; Another dragon! A wiser Rider! A weak one, but a wiser Rider and ancient Dragon! What do you think. I'm just guesing, but it sounds like a good guess huh?

Hmmm, that might be possible, but I thought the soldiers just went too deep in the forest, getting lost. I'm not sure; we'll find everything out in the 3rd book!

I also had another thought, I think that Garrow knew what the "Stone" was!!! His sister was Selena right? And she was Morzans wife right? Well Garrow must have recieved news of who Selena had betrothed and ... um ... Mated, little one. Said Saphira. Oh, thank you saphira! I Said. Anyways, it says in the book: (Another frigging quote) Chapter 2: Palancar Valley Eragon hung his bow and quiver on hooks beside the front door. "I dontknow how I'll do it," (Get the time to work for Horst.) he said irritably. "Besides, I found something that could beworth some money." He set the stone on the table. (This next paragraph is the important one) Garrow bowed over it: the hungary look on his face became ravenous, and his fingers moved with a stange twitch. "You found this in the Spine?" "Yes," said Eragon. He explained what had happened. "And to make matters worse, I lost my best arrow. I'll have to make more before long." They stared at the stone in the near darkness. (This next bit's important as well.) "How was the weather?" asked his uncle, lifting the stone. His hands tightened around it like he was afraid it would suddenly disappear. OMG!!! DOES GARROW REALLY KNOW ABOUT DRAGONS!?!?!?!?! IS THERE REALLY ANOTHER DRAGON AND RIDER IN THE SPINE!?!?!?!?! STAY TUNED FOR THE NEXT THRILLING ENSTALLMENT OF THE 6 LETTER BEGINING WITH E BOOKS!!!

maybewho know....but the elves obviously don't know about the dragon or dragons....which worries me because then what if Galabotrix learns about them and eiether kills all the dragons off or enlists them in his awful army!!!!!!that would horrible because then there is no chance of Galabotrix being defeated................ crying i would cry myself to sleep if that were to happen..... talk2hand but wait, i highy doubt Chris would end the trilogy in such a horrible way.....there has to be chance that whatever is in the spiine will help defeat Galabotrix! i posistive that might happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! mrgreen mrgreen

about Garrow knowing about the dragon egg.......how come he wanted to sell it? if he suppoesly knew of it's worth then why would he want to give it up to some one else.....that really puzzles me because maybe it was just anothor way for Garrow to trick Eragon into believeing he wanted to get rid of the egg when really he didn't......although if that was Garrow's intentions then wouldn't he have spoke to Eragon about the EGG!! mrgreen mrgreen mrgreen

who knows...............maybe the creature in the spine is really one of the horrible thingys that r the parents of the Ra'zac that would be bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!or maybe it's just everyone's imagination!!!!!!!!!!Hey, look just look at Eragon. He has been in and out of the Spine throughout his life, and has had no horrible experiences.....maybe from one small accitdent....the villigers concluded that the Spine is bad and that's why things go wrong in there!!!!!!!!!!they're all probley just over axious about and are paying too much attention to wut they are afaird of getting them instead of the trouble they're getting themselves in...which i find really interesting that they can manipulate somthing so that it seems more horrible than it really turns out to be....... mrgreen mrgreen mrgreen

wouldn't it make more since that the dragon is wild and smart? and maybe nocks saphria and eragon out of the sky; thinking there gabatorix because of bad lighting? Maybe Saphria will get wounded and the dragon has too much pride to fly eragon back with out her. so the stay there with the dragon and saphria falls for him. i gotta start my fanfic bout this! jeese ideas

in eragon when eragon asked Brom if there any other dragons he said that the king killed all the dragons accept the ones who will join him and he also got three eggs. the rest of the dragons hide so they would never be found. So if a dragon or dragons hide in Spine.

during the part where eragon searched Nar Garsvlog's (sorry cant spell) mind for treachary (god damn, i suck) he remembers something about his village being in the spine.....maybe the urgals killed galbatorix's army?

There has to be some thing awsome about the Spine. x33 It's my second favorite place in the book. (First place would be Teirm. xD)
But What I really wanna know about is the Hadarac Desert. I was reading some thing in the Limited Edition about Deep Down in the desert there was some kind of Worms? And it makes Dragons really love it there. surprised

Good guess...I doubt it though.
Garrow probably thought it was worth something and he could sell it.
I think the dragons can be saved if there are spare eggs lying around the Galbatorix hasn't found.
