So, here's a question for all of you:
What type of clothing do you like to wear with your corset?
Do you wear a certain type of shoes, or put on your makeup a certain way?
In other words...How does wearing a corset affect the other things you wear?
Myself, I usually wear long skirts with my corset. I've donned jeans with them as well, but never short skirts or shorts, or sneakers (ugh). With my corset, shoes-wise, I wear boots if I can, or heels.

I usually wear this one 3/4 sleeve top with a deep square decolletage (is that right?) And a long black skirt with my black corset ontop of it all. ^^

And when it comes to makeup i try and make it a bit more noticeable than usual. And i dunno about my hair... It's long and straight... xd I curl it sometimes. ^^

Ooh, this is a good thread.
I usually wear a long skirt. Sometimes jeans. I always wear make-up when I wear them. Also never, never sneakers! I wear my black, knee high boots (with a two inch heal... I think two inch). Sadly, due to my back, I can't wear my boots for an extended time. The last time I did, it acted up, and I was taking four Advil at a time for the next two days *ugh*.
As for my hair, I usually wear it down. It's my trademark after all. It gets me noticed, and complements.

Well, when I wear my corsets that I make, I'm usually at a Renaissance Faire and I wear all of my other garb and I don't really change anything from what I wear.
But when I wear them in general, I wear a peasant-top kind of shirt that I made, and also just jeans and my converse if i'm not going anywhere special. Unfortunately I have really big feet, so I have no high heeled knee high boots D;
I just dress myself like I normally would, except for the shirt and corset.
But I do put different jewlery on, according to the mood i'm in.

Yeah, my feet aren't small either.... but I found size 10 boots... woot! For some reason, I can't find boots in 9 1/2, which is the size I really need. I need to find new boots...

Nilithyana Yeah, my feet aren't small either.... but I found size 10 boots... woot! For some reason, I can't find boots in 9 1/2, which is the size I really need. I need to find new boots... I have the opposite prblem, i have TINY feet... (US size about 7-7½) Short but broad. So i have to wear shoes too large for me. And if it's heels they pinch my toes and are too loose around the heel... xp I usually wear "granny" boots with my corset, about 1,5-2 inch heel and laces. heart Something like these, but they're in fabric, not leather and the heel is slightly chunkier.

Zetsuki I have the opposite prblem, i have TINY feet... (US size about 7-7½) Short but broad. So i have to wear shoes too large for me. And those boots are neat looking. And yeah, I like chunky heals. My knee highs are chunky.

i like to wear skirts with them or tight black pants usually leather well haha not real leather maybe when i get a job that will fly until then fake but i wear either platforms or witch boots usually with them i have a few pairs of shoes i got jsut for my corsets ^.^ i usually wear lace or a long sleeved shirt under tehm so my boobs arent screaming look also because i just had a baby a few months back sooo yea my boobs have stretch marks so as a tip for that you'll end up wearing undershirts for about a year but plain black usually works or even white ^.^ anyway i like to wear a victorian timed necklave and long drop earrings i wear my corsets often so usually if do this often my makeup isnt really effected by them unless they are blue or something because then i use that color eyeshadow or something i like to wear long bushy eyelashes wiht them though ^.^

I'm size 37 in European sizes. i wear a us seven...i dont have problems really but i like the boots you wear i have some kinda like them except mine have the witch heel like the ones in hocus pocus the skinny witch heel not those HUGE chuncky ones but the boots are very beautiful and oldtime looking i think thats why they run with corsets well

my corset's made of denim so I almost always just wear it with jeans and such. It's more of a casual everyday kinda corset. mrgreen

i wear mine with jeans and boots or heels, never tennis shoes that would look really bad with mine
