As I mentioned. Differences of opinion. YES, they're going to exist, folks. That's a fact of life. I'm fairly certain that we've already established that (see the "Full Metal Alchemist" thread). However, I feel that some of us here are unable to deal with people thinking differently from them. And personally, I find that offensive. I think very differently from others, and I would like my opinions to be respected the same way that the majority opinion is, if not necessarily agreed with. I could never expect that.
There were just a couple of comments that I read tonight that kind of sent me over the edge on this issue.
Look, folks, disagreeing is fine. It's normal, it's natural. If we all agreed, I'd be very, very scared. And I doubt that anyone is offended by dissenting opinions. However, when such opinions are expressed in a derogatory manner, it becomes offensive.
Let me make a couple of examples.
WhatNotToDo
BA: Have you seen Gilgamesh?
Disagrees: D00d, dat shows st00pid. You actually WATCHED it?
BA: Well, yes. And I actually enjoyed it.
Disagrees: You're dumb cuz u watched it.
BA: Why didn't you like it?
Disagrees: It was st00pid.
BA: Did you even watch it?
Disagrees: Never heard of it.

Yes, that was a bit extreme. But I feel it gets the point across.
ThisIsA!GOOD!Example
BA: Have you seen Full Metal Panic?
Disagrees: Parts of it, but I didn't enjoy it. I don't particularly like mechas, they have too much fighting for me. I prefer shojos.
BA: All right.

See? "Disagrees" has a reason for not liking Full Metal Panic, and has at least assessed it.
So I guess to wrap it all up, I'd like to ask you to at least be courteous when presenting your opinions. You don't have to be all psycho and use big words and proper the way that I do (Because again, it would be scary if everyone did that... few people on the internet do that, when compared with the entire population of the internet), but at least be informed. Key word there. Disagreeing is a good thing, but being rude isn't. I shouldn't have to explain things we learn in first grade...
