So yeah I hurt my back at work Tuesday because I had to lift a guy who weighs almost 200 lbs by myself because I had no help and he was falling out of his wheelchair. Well today I was carrying things in from the garage and I had one of those cork board things and I was trying to open the door from the garage to the house with my hip and when I did it the cork board hit the door jam and hit my other hip. When that happened I just collapsed because my whole left leg went numb. I was in tears it hurt so bad. I could barely walk and my back started to kill me. My mom ended up taking me to the ER and the doc didn't find anything wrong except a few pulled muscles and they said I was having muscle spasms. So he put me on some drugs to help with the pain. The doc wantes me to go to a neruosurgeon just in case he missed something. I just hope there's nothing wrong with my spine because if there is then I'm disqualified from the Air Force. *Sigh* This sucks...My back, hip, and leg hurts so freakin bad!

But that is what the drugs are for. Hope it's nothing too serious.

Dr. Dwyer is a really good doc though. I think it's my T-spine that's hurt though and he only looked at my L-spine. My mom is going to call a neurosurgeon in the morning and try to get me an appt with him. Hopefully I get an appt and he'll look at my T-spine. There was nothing wrong with the L-spine but if my T-spine is injured then we could have a problem. Right now though I'm feeling pretty good, probably from the Perc 5's, muscle relaxers, they anti-inflammitory, and the phenergan. Yay for legal drugs.

T-spine is Thoracic Spine which is your middle back...it's the largest part of your spine. There's 12 disks in the T-spine...I believe anyways
L-spine is Lumbar Spine which is the lowest part of your back. I believe there's about 8 disks in the L-spine
Phenergan is a nausea/vomiting medicine I take with the Perc in case the Perc's were to upset my stomach. Basically they just make me sleep.

Hope you feel better. sad How did you end up with muscle spasms, though? Pulled muscles should heal after a while.

I think what happened is when the bullation board hit my hip it hit a nerve and it created muscle spasms.
