Hello|| I'm in the mood for a good Harry Potter roleplay. Obviously keep in line with Gaia's rules, 3 G's rules, and keep some basic roleplay courtesy (No god-moding, power playing, and keep to the posting order so that no one gets left out.) I'm hoping we can do a multiplayer (however, if you want to one-on-one with me, send me a pm; I don't bite.)

Plot|| This is , more or less, a "present" Harry Potter roleplay. There are a few changes, however. For one, Book Six never happened. Dumbledore never died. Snape never fled. We know know nothing about the half-blood prince. Mmkay? Good.
So, my basic idea is that Harry returns for his sixth year at Hogwarts. The Dark Lord has been giving him more scary dreams and whatnot (he should have stuck with those Occlumency lessons, right?) and he has a conversation with Dumbledore about it. Dumbledore talks to dear old Professor Snape and, after some eye-twinkling and well played threats, Snape agrees to help the "little twit" (as he so eliquently put it.) Harry now will resume the lessons but this time Hermione and Ron have been asked to do them as well (under the guise of taking Remedial Potions, at Hermione's horror.)
That is my plot. It's very open and general so that we have plenty of room for creativity.

Rules|| (Because everyone's got them.) xp So, my rules are simple. This is a literate, intermediate/advanced roleplay. That means I want posts with atleast 5 lines per entry. If you truly are intermediate or advanced, that is nothing. I make posts several paragraphs long sometimes and it really does not take that much effort. If you are stuck, don't post something just to post. Try to describe things with greater detail.
(e.g. Instead of just "Harry sat on the chair." say something like "Harry ruffled his tousled dark hair, unintentionally covering the light scar on his forehead. He glanced around at the old kitchen before taking a seat on the old wooden chair before him, fumbling with a loose thread on his shirt. He sighed boredly, crossing his arms while his emerald green eyes fell upon the pile of dirty dishes in the sink.") See? It's not so hard. That took me all of like two minutes.
If you are truly stuck or you are unable to post for some reason or another, leave an "ooc" note saying "Pass" or "I'll be gone for three days". If you simply leave, no one can read your mind.
That's pretty much it. Keep it at PG13 or under. Be kind and courteous. Make sure that you stay in the order you first posted so that no one gets skipped, and put as much detail to your posts as humanly possible.
If you aren't making long enough posts or fail to write in the proper form (Actions in third person, "speaking with quotes", and thoughts in italics) then I will warn you once and delete you next. Got it? Fantastic.

((Come now, I don't bite. It may seem like I'm asking a lot of you, but really I'm not. I just don't want any of those kids that can't spell words and names correctly like "character" or "Hermione". I'm not so strict as it may seem. Actually, I tend to ramble a lot without really communicating anything important. Yup. I'm really good at that.))

Well, if no one shows, would you care to one-on-one? I'll give everyone interested a week or so before I close this, but if you want to roleplay over pms or on another forum, I'd be more than happy to. Currently the only other roleplay I'm involved in is one with a beginner who I am teaching, so my creative mind is pretty much free.

Luna Ishukan Personally, I think of your rants as very interesting. They're fun to read! I love the signature as well, mine's just depressing. As for paitience, I'm way too paitient. I'll come to a meeting way too early, and wait for a couple of hours. It's... very... erm... fun... I... erm... think... Okay, no, it's the most annoying thing on the face of the planet. I really need to change my habit... I'm too weird though. And depressed.
I think we should start though, it might catch people's attention. We just need Hermione.
Yet again, word-vomit just keeps spewing out of my mouth (well technically, out of my fingers...wow...odd visual...) so I'm'a gonna go back to what we were originally talking about. The roleplay.
Erm...actually we really need a Harry. I'm not playing harry. I'm not good with the emo/pubescent teenager thing (despite the fact that I'm a teenage myself.) I'm playing Snape. 'Cause I get to yell at Harry (whom, funnily enough, I find mostly just annoying. XD)
So yeah. If we get a Harry we can start. Unless you want me to just make up something crazy where Harry died. I could do that. wink
Oh hey, I just realized that being in the 3G's guild, I should probably be spelling everything right but I do what's called "creative spelling". That means I take perfectly fine words and jazz 'em up by either taking letters out and replacing them with apostrophes, or changing the word entirely (e.g. "rock" becomes "rawk".) It's not neccecarily chatspeak, but if I do end up talking like that I generally put it in quotations or something of the like.
However, if it's bothering you either deal with it or, if you must, let me know. Mmkay? Thanks. (Aren't I just...nice? *Big smile of doom.*)

It was a warm august evening and a certain tall, lithe, dark-haired wizard strode down the halls of the old stone castle, headin in the direction of the dungeons. He cursed under his breath, speaking to himself quietly so the portraits couldn't hear him. The thin teacher's robes billowed about him as his hair, the length of it down to his chin, flurried about his face in his frustration. If one were walking along side this annoyed professor, they might be able to hear exactly whom his anger was directed at.
"Twinkle-eyed old fool...why did it have to be Potter?", he muttered. Severus Snape was not having a good day. In fact, this particular day was right up there at the top of his list of bad days; which included being Crucio'd by the Dark Lord from dawn 'till dusk and one evening of having to share a room with Trelawny (whom had an inapropriate and terribly bothersome infatuation with the Potions master.) He shuddered at the memory.
No, he was not having a good day at all. Severus had just gotten out of a meeting with Dumbledore and after some discussion about ending Harry's lessons and some well-placed threats (it turns out that Albus is actually quite sneaky) Snape was "encouraged" to teach that little twirp once more. Not only would he have to endure Potter's incompetence, but he was made to teach Occlumency to both Granger and Weasley as well. He meant to make a groaning noise but it came out as more of a deep growl as he threw open the door to the dungeons and walked down the stairs, cursing all the way down.
Severus could hear the thestral-drawn carriages nearing and the sound of excited students returning for another year. He sighed as he dissapeared into his office, knowing he would have to make an appearence in the great hall but he was determined to atleast get to miss a good portion of the ceremony.
((Not my best, but I am a bit devoid of inspiration today. Valentine's day always does that to me. Anyways, go ahead and post. Just a reminder, try to keep it atleast 5 lines (But don't make it a chore. Have fun!) Start out in the carriages, if you please, and then eventually make your way into the great hall. All three of you, plus the fifth year made-up, can go in the same carriage. Take as much time as you need with introductions and such. Snape will join you all in the great hall momentarily.)
