Ruffian was being brave today. Well, brave on her own standards. She really did not like socialising with the pride, but she knew it would be key if she was to stay here, and be welcome at the same time. Besides, if she got tired of it, she could always go back hom to her cave and keep to herself for a little while. There wasn't any hard in that, right?
So today she was much closer to Pride Rock, noticing the hustle and bustle of pride life. She knew she would never like it enough, but tolerating it could come with better ease if she made herself get more used to it. Thus, today.
She stood next to a small tree, enjoying the shade in the morning light. It had been just after a common breakfast time, and so most of the lions were up and about. Her brown eyes watched the interaction, herself staying quiet and a little out of the way. Maybe when there weren't so many around, she could try talking to someone. Maybe one of the adult females. A good tease about Daemon would always make her feel better.

Vinaya had wriggled away from her energetic siblings, much to her relief. She loved them, but she enjoyed some time alone once and a while, mainly because it was quiter by herself. She wasn't exactly a loud little girl, more of the type to smile shyly and hover in the background. Today she was in search of somewhere peaceful. She moved along through the tall grass with wide eyes. The world facinated her. She stared for a long time at a tall tree, in awe by its size. So much so that she didn't even notice there was a lioness sitting beneath it on the other side.

Ruffian's eyes soon came across a very...colourful little cub peeking at her. But, was it her, or the tree? She wasn't sure, and so didn't want to disturb the cub from...whatever it was she was looking at.
Though a little bit of time passed, and the cub was still looking. It made Ruff feel a little uncomfortable, and thus bowed her head down, hoping that it would shake the cub out of her trance. "Errr," she said softly, hoping to not startle the cub (though it turned out more like a whisper then anything). "But...what are you looking at?"

Vinaya jumped with a sqeak, her eyes wide, green orbs. H-had the tree just said something?! She stared with her mouth open until she suddenly realized there was something behind the tree...she looked more closely and saw it was a lioness. Oohhh~! She felt blood rush into her face and her ears pinned back, her tail curling sheepishly around her hind leg. She quickly shut her mouth, not wanting to be rude. "I-I'm sorry! I was looking at the tree!" she chittered nervously.

s**t, thought the lioness. She did her best to not scare the child, but it seemed like she did anyway. What should she do? She didn't want to scare the cub again, but....should she just lie down. Would that work? She was already sitting, so would that be too much?
Her head ached from the insecurities in her mind, so instead her front have stooped down as she tries to clear her mind. Well, she would just apologize. "Ahh...sorry if I scared you. I just thought you were either looking at the tree, or me. And it wasn't me, obviously." She gave a strained laugh, dying off quickly. Well that was stupid of her. She grunted at herself, mumbling a bit under her breath. This was too much work, wasn't it?

"I-I'm sorry, I shoudln't have looked!" Vinaya squeaked shyly. "I-I mean..." she fumbled, finding her words were getting all mixed up due to her nerves and reserved nature. She was a pretty smart child, but he bashfulness often took away from that and made things harder then they were normally. "Um...I'm sorry." She didn't know what she was saying sorry for anymore, but she certainly was embaressed, her ears pressing against her head and being unable to meet the adult lioness's eyes.

Ruffian cocked her head, peering curiously at the little cub. Sorry? The black lioness' mind couldn't grasp as to why the cub was apologizing, though it bothered her a bit. She didn't want to embarass the cub too much more, so she wouldn't confront her in such an 'adult' manner.
The black lioness plopped down onto her stomache, hopefully not looking as overpowering as she was when she was standing. The thought that her natrual larger size in comparison never crossed her mind, but perhaps her lying down would seem vulerable enough.
"You shouldn't apologize for just peeking a look at something. Everyone gets curious."
