Iria was running through the check list of all the things that were supposed to be put out and where. You never know what could go wrong. She had been planning this all week and to make SURE things went right, she sent Lucifer out to take Raine somewhere... fun... Hell, she didn't care if he took him to Chuck E. Cheese as long as it wasn't some sort of sleezey motel.
A banner hung from the second floor balcony read "You're 17!" and another in the kichen read "Happy Birthday!" There were colorful helium balloons everywhere, currently being blown up by Kemis.
She had forbidden Wren and Takuto from making the cake and had asked Dashwood if he could give it a shot.
Everything was in place; snacks, gifts, balloons, games ((Iria had forbidden spin the bottle. He may be 17 but damnit, it was her Father! ... And somehow, the whole idea of her thowing her 17 year old father a birthday party was just odd)). But yes, it was all ready and waiting. All that was missing... was the guest of honor!
... and well..

Kimi walked into the room and looked around smiling.
"Oh!" She said happily to Iria. "You didn't have to throw a party for little old me! 4laugh "
"Yeah, I don't think she did," Zooey said, not even trying to be nice. "See? The banner says 'Happy Birthday Raine.'"
"....Oh," Kimi said slowly. "I knew that."
"Sure you did."
Oscar squealed happily at the decorations and began to glow.

Shining bounced in happily, singing to herself.
"Oh yay! Party!"
She had Jasper in his pouch on her back and a large envelope in her hands. As soon as she walked into the room, her eyes soomed in on the party hats on the table.
"Oh my god! I love party hats!"
She picked one up and snapped it onto her head, grinning cheesily.
Jasper squealed and laughed in joy, hands reaching towards the balloons floating around the room.
"Shiny!"
Indeed some of them were metallic, and this was Jasper's first party so he was enjoying every tiny bit of it. Looking around the room, he noticed Ocsar. Oh wow! It was the glowing baby!

Lofn was trying to keep her little brother from randomly popping balloons with a heat-ball he'd produced and was happily drifting about the place. "Don't you DARE, Loki!" Despite her commanding tone, however, there was the timbre of a plea in it. Around them were a few fragments of deflated balloons that had, sadly, been sacrificed to the battle.
Loki merely turned huge, innocent eyes on Lofn, and meowed in the most I'm-cute-and-adorable-and-you-love-me way... All the while inching the heatball closer to the next balloon.
Mynk was in the kitchen, watching Dash-chan prepare the cake.

"Wren! Don't do that!" Kemis half laughed, half yelled as Wren put her mouth to a helium balloon.
"What? It's funny!" She said, her voice now high pitched and squeaky. "Mom used to do this all the time!"
"Good times." Deshi grinned. "Remember, Kimi?"
Takuto was in the corner setting up electronic games. Deshi had tried and failed and now he was trying to untangle her mess.
"Where the hell does THIS go? .... Is this even FOR a game system?"
Pipermint was forbidden by Iria from touching or talking after her five minute lecture on why Pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey was probably not very nice and wasn't appreciated by the donkey.

"I totally do," Kimi said, grinning at the nostalgia of it all.
Lewis, however, being not very bright didn't realize that helium made your voice sound funny.
"Oh no, Wren!" He cried out, horrified. "What happened to you!!!?" gonk

Loki stopped popping balloons to watch Wren in amazement. Her voice sounded like... A squirrel's! As his concentration wavered, the heatball he'd produced vanished with a sucking 'pop' sound, thereby saving the rest of the balloons.
Lofn, relieved and silently thanking Wren nee-chan for distracting him, took the chance to curl his plump fingers/paw around a candy stick, hoping that he'd forget about the balloons.
Then, seeing Pipermint standing forlornly in a corner, she took another candy stick and pressed it in the child's hand.
"Dash-chaaaaan," Mynk wheedled, "I want CHOCOLATE on the cakeeee..."

Confused at what was being pressed against her hand, Pipermint looked around suddenly.
"Nya? Nyo? Nyu?? AH! Thank you!" She squeaked happily. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!"
"Come ooooon, Lewis. All the coooool kids are doing it." Wren joked.

Lewis couldn't stand up against peer pressure! gonk
He nervously brought the balloon to his lips and breathed in.
"I don't see what the... WOAH!" he said. "I SOUND LIKE MUNCHKIN!"
And that he did. And he enjoyed it greatly, no matter how light headed he got.
Oscar heard his brother talk with a silly voice and glowed happily. It was cute.
"Me do?" he asked, looking up at Wren and Lewis.

"But I don't even know if Raine likes chocolate," Dashwood protested as he mixed the frosting, sweet scents rising from the oven. His apron, borrowed from Raine's drawer, was pink, and far too short for him.
Carrying both babies was a task, but Luciora was fairly sure he was up to it, as he lugged both Germant and Musette with him. "Can someone help?" he asked quietly, not expecting to be heard.
