Zuri'ramla was tired. She was tired of what her life had brought her. She left the only home she knew to find her sister, to bring her back home for death. But she had failed, never finding any information on her sister. And thus, she could not return emptyhanded, or she herself would recieve severe punishment. So here she was, guilty of the same thing as her sister: abandoment.
The orange lioness flopped in a dusty area, clueless as to where she was. She had met a fantastic friend, but soon lost him in the Pridelands. Her heart ached, for she fancied him a lot, but fate had delt her a rough hand. Then she was told my a strange, yet nice fellow that she should be living in a pride, and not out on her own. But where would she go? She wasn't certain that she could ever join another pride. Her old home just meant too much to her. So what would she do now?

Dunia had been wandering for quite some time, as she had been kicked out of the band of lions she had been living with. She had been caught in an adulterous lie, and either faced death or abandoment. She chose the latter. There was always a chance of coming across another group that she could live with, and perhaps fit in. While she hadn't really 'learned her lesson', she was certain to take better care in getting caught. She couldn't help it if she loved the thrill of doing the 'wrong' thing.
But today, she had nothing to do, and was mildly exploring the area that was called the 'graveyard.' She had heard about it through gossip, though didn't know much about it. And it seemed like a forbidden place to go to, and thus she would go investigate it. Maybe something would come out of it.

Zuri's head popped up, the white on her coat a dull grey from all the dark dirt in the area. While she didn't look like a mess, she didn't look as beautiful as she could make herself out to be. Her golden eyes saw the brown lioness, one that seemed to fit in well enough with this dusty world around them.
She didn't bother to get up, or really do much more then a light acknowledgement. "'Lo, there, stranger," was all she bothered to say. Perhaps if she wanted to make conversation, she would. Zuri had nothing better to do.

Dunia's attention flickered towards the movement, noticing that there was a lion here. Well! So there must be something here if there was another living here. She slowly made her way towards the lioness, her sultry ways hard to lose. She slinked up next to the lioness, but soon decided to sit in front of her, just in case. Wouldn't be good to screw up when you wanted to weasle your way into something.
"Why, hello there," the earth-coloured lioness purred. "Fantastic to see that there indeed is a pack of lions here." She flopped her tail a bit, content with the fact that she had success so quickly! She certainly was great at most things, even if she would only admit it herself.

Well, this lioness wanted to talk, and Zuri would certainly try. Though she knew that she would be in for disappointment when she found out that Zuri wasn't part of any pride living here. How would a pride live here, anyway? There was barely any life, and it was just so...dirty.
"I must apologize, but I do not live here," she stated softly. "I am merely passing through, continuing on my quest to find my sister." Her ears perked up as the old habit of asking about her, but it soon faded. What was the point anymore? "Though I am certain that she is not in these lands. They're much to....dark for her."

Dunia couldn't quite believe it. She was wrong! But, there had to be a group of lions living around here. Or something living around here. Why else would there be gossip about these lands? Oh well, she would find them somehow, someway.
"Oooh, lost her, hmm? Good luck in finding her," the lioness teased, her tail curling around on her side. "It's hard enough finding a group of lions, let alone one." She also offered a shrug, not minding too much that she was wrong, though she wasn't sure if the other would take it as that, or just brushing off the fact that she didn't care about this sister. Too late to fix it now.
"If you're certain, then why are you sitting around here, though?" A simple, yet prying question. Dunia loved gossip as well as her wild way of living, and she wanted to learn something. Even if it didn't mean anything for herself directly, she did love to talk.

Zuri had a flare of anger at what the lioness was doing. It was a serious manner! The anger soon cooled, though, as Zuri let herself calm down as the other spoke. Don't make a fight out of something that this other lioness didn't know anything about. It just wasn't worth it.
"Because I am unsure as where to go," was the simple reply. She hoped that the lioness would be content with just that. She didn't really want to spill herself, but she didn't know if she could hold it back.

Of course, Dunia wouldn't be content with just that. She wanted some details. Nice, juicy details. Almost as good as a nice thigh of a zebra! Swishing her tail, and eyeing the strange-coloured lioness again, she gave off a slight purr, hoping that it would comfort the other enough to get more out of her.
"Well, if you are unsure, I could perhaps help? Details would let me give you a better idea of where to go, though, right? Have you tried the Southlands yet?" It was an innocent question, both of them, but she hoped that she would get something out of it.

Zuri's heart ached as she heard the word 'southlands'. She did her best to cover it, though, and thus tried to avoid the subject, or talk lightly about it. Perhaps then it wouldn't hurt so much. She tensed a bit before speaking.
"Well, I have tried there. Made a friend, but lost them in the Pridelands, where I tried to gather information there. I'm now here, though I'm not certain where else to go. I have been told that the Firekin are to be avoided, and the Mistweavers are nearly as dead as this land we meet in. Thus, I am at a loss."
She hoped that would be enough to shush her.

Dunia listened intently, catching on the term of meeting someone, and then losing them. Oooh! Just what she wanted! She casted away everything else that the odd lioness had said, and continued on with her pressing of more information.
"Does it hurt your quest that you had someone with you, and they left?" She asked the question with a cover that she was trying to help, but she was hoping that this orange lioness would not notice that she just wanted a little more information from her that really meant nothing but gossip fodder.

Zuri's ears laid back against her skull, nervous, but she didn't want to leave her hanging. But she also didn't want to say too much, so instead, she would give her enough to hopefully shut her up. She seemed like she cared, but there were some things you just didn't share with a stranger. You just didn't.
"Well, he was going to help me, but instead, he seemed to disappear in the Pridelands. Maybe he realized just how long and hard it would be to find my sister, and left. I just wish he would of told me, that's all."

Dunia's ears flicked fowards, and back again. That was it? Well, she didn't want to seem too pushy, and this lioness gave just enough information to inform Dunia, but not give her what she wanted. Trickey trickey.
"Well, I apologize for that, and hope you can find him again, if you want too." Her tail flopped from her side, kicking up a little cloud of dust. "By the way, I'm Dunia. Pleasure to meet you, if for only a moment."

"Ah, pleasure to meet your aquaintance, Dunia. I am Zuri'ramla, though Zuri works fine." She flexed her claws a bit, feeling a bit more relaxed. She explained, but didn't have to go into such heavy detail that it would of made her uncomfortable.
She offered a nod, though she didn't know what else to say, thus didn't say anything. She was tired, and hoped that with the way the other spoke, that she would leave soon. Zuri wanted to rethink her actions alone, though she really wasn't sure what to do now.

Dunia nodded, grateful to have a name. She would probably question others later on, if needed, to get more information for herself. She wasn't satisfied, so she would work to fulfill that need and make herself happy. But for now, back to finding these elusive graveyard occupiers that she was certain lived.
"Good to meet you, and I hope to see you again." She gave a cheerful nod, popped herself back up, and strutted off, very happy with herself as she disappeared into the gloomy bones of the graveyard.

"Farewell." Was all that Zuri said as the brown lioness disappeared into the dusty smoke. She wasn't sure what to think of that encounter, but she was grateful that it was over. Later, she would continue to wander, hoping that her mind could come to something that would help her move on. She deemed in necessary to start over with her life, and forget about everything, and everyone, that she could. Only then, could she perhaps be happy again.
Which meant giving up everything she knew. But what would you do if you had nothing to your name?
