You all know the rules. No posting since this is a private Rp unless you ask. Jazz stood quietly in the middle of the meadow. His journey to the marsh lands had been unfruitful other than he had run into an friend he hadn't seen in a while. Since then he had been in a better mood than he had been in, in months. Humming thoughtfully to himself, Jazz pawed at the frozen ground trying to get to the grass beneath.

Once again, Charlamagne had found herself wandering away from the teepee that she and her herd resided at. She never could stay there for long... perhaps it was the fact that the new addition to the herd creeped her out? Whatever the reason was, she knew she liked roaming about rather than hanging around there.
She trotted along until she came to a snow covered meadow, smiling at the sight. Nickering softly, she went further into the meadow a small skip in her trot... or as best a horse can skip. As she did this, she spotted a red figure in the distance, grazing by the looks of it. Her eyes blinked for a moment before shrugging and going on her business, she too kicking the snow away to uncover the green grass underneath.

Jazz's head snapped around as he heard the soft nickering of another horse near by. Looking across the meadow, he saw the figure of a rather differently color mare. Her body was hard to see in the snow but her dark mane and tail made her atleast somewhat visible in the bright snow. He watched as she seemed to skip across the meadow. "Hello, there! Find any good grass?" he called out to her in an attempt to be friendly.

After exposing some grass, Charlamagne brought her head down and bit off a few clumps. As she chewed, she got a bitter look on her face, having found a sour patch of grass. With a small snort, she walked away from the patch she uncovered to find another one. It was then that she noticed that the red figure was glancing to her and called out to her. Blinking, she took notice of the stallion and shook her head. "Hi there. No... not quite yet."

He nodded at her reply and then bent down to take a bite of the grass he had uncovered. It wasn't much but it would do. "Me either, really. There is a bit over here if you would like some." he called back to her and continued to paw at the snow, making a bigger patch for them both to share.

The small mare had already ventured to another location and was starting to clear a patch by the time he said the offer. Not wanting to waste a possible prime spot of grass, she brought her head down and nipped at a few clumps of grass once again. This patch was better than the last one, but not by much. With that, she snorted softly and headed toward the stallion. "I hope you don't mind." She said timidly, flicking her tail behind her as she approached.

"Oh, I don't mind at all! It's nice to share with a beautiful mare such as yourself." he said with a smiled and gave a slight bow as he moved out of the way for her to get at the patch. "My name is Jazz, by the way. It was rude of me not to introduce myself earlier." he said remember his manners.

A rush of warmth surrounded her cheeks as she blushed deeply at him calling her beautiful. She nodded her head in return to his bow as she reached the patch he was at. "Thank you. It's nice to meet you Jazz, I'm Charlamagne." She answered, smiling timidly at him.

Jazz noticed her blush and wondered what he had done to cause that. He continued to smile warmly at her and was glad that he could share with her. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Charlamagne. Tell me, what brings mare such as yourself all the way out here by yourself, besides food of course." he asked striking up a conversation.

She brought her head down and pulled up a few clumps of grass. She looked back up to him, chewing the blades before swallowing them. "Oh... I tend to get bored at my living area, so I tend to wander off and roam."

"I used to do that. I don't so much anymore, but every now and then I get an itching for an adventure." He replied and pulled a bit of grass and munched on it.

Having no more interest in the grass, she moved away and stretched out her limbs. After doing this, she stood and looked at him. "I hope I'm not intruding, but why don't you wander off and roam any more? Something happen or something?" She asked with a curious tilt of her head, hoping she wasn't prying.

He too forgot about the grass and swished his tail as he pawed at the ground. How was he gonna answer her question? He really never talked to anyone new since...well, since for a while. "You could say something happened. I don't have much time anymore. Not with being a father all of a sudden now and having to chase my son all over the place. That and I just somehow lost interest in it." said a bit sadly. "I guess also that I am afriad of leaving and missing what I have been hoping would come back but does seem like it will."

As she listened to his response, she frowned. Now she felt sort of bad for asking, looking down from him. "Oh... I'm sorry for asking. I didn't mean for you to bring back any bad memories or anything... I-I was just curious." She replied softly, backing up slightly.

Jazz smiled at her and was glad for her sincerity. "Oh it is alright. I don't mind talking about it. My mother has helped me alot and my friend Ever has been helping me too. It just hurts sometimes but I have learned from it." he said and smiled again warmly at her to take away any uncertainty she had. He really hoped he hadn't scared her off with his response.
